What do you want from 2011?
I would like Dungeoneering to have more training spots. A few ideas for this could be... Small dungeon "shortcuts" like the one under white wolf mountain (unlocked after fishing contest) but you need to grind your way though instead of simply walking it. Very much like in Daemonheim with the skill doors. This could be like the resource dungeons but instead of it being a dead end, there is an opening at the other end that you can get though. E.g. 1, Going from one side of the water to the other, instead of chartering a ship you can attempt to Dung it across, it will take longer but be more fun. E.g. 2, Having more areas like the Stronghold of Security/Player safety but have Dung integrated with it so say in the desert there is a Dung that goes down in floors in a similar fashion to the original, but it is themed with differnt stuff, like a pyramid. Just expanding the skill will make it seem less like a glorified mini-game. I would also like to see some nice updates to woodcutting, they had some cool ideas with the canoes a while back. Maybe add some more things that can be done with the logs, more decorative armour? Magic log legs? lol

What are your goals for 2011?
Hello all, What are your goals/targets for the upcoming year? I am interested to find out what goals people have, be it: "get my first set of full rune" or "max out every skill and get my 4th blue party hat" Post your goal and discuss the best ways for others to achieve these.

Farming
To start off I would recommend that you make sure that you are always wielding the magic secateurs from Fairytale I - Growing Pains. This will help you get some of your money back from the seeds you plant and in some cases help you make money. If you want to power level and don't care about the cost i would advise doing a tree run every day with the highest levelled tree you can do. But if you want to take a bit more time, do a herb run as well. Plant the best herb seed you can in the allotments and harvest/replant them each time you feel like it. You will make money in doing this (use super compost and magic secateurs to maximise profit). Fruit trees can be a very good source of income as well, I have papaya trees planted (mainly for the spec restore pots =D) and I just go around and pick some fruit for a quick boost of cash. Also the usual tips... Search for penguins one per week, Use XP lamps on it, Effigy's dragonkin lamps and vinesweeper (mainly for extra seeds, but xp can be gained) Hope this helped =D

New to Members: Help!
Explore, These is a huge world out there screaming for you to look at it. Make sure not to take anything you are afraid to loose (just in case) and just walk/run from Taverly (just above Falador,N/W) all the way to The Tree Gnome Stronghold (quite far west) Then, once you have seen enough of that, and maybe started a bit o' Agility at the "obstacle course" run south all the way to castle wars. Have a few games of this, then move on further south to the mobilising armies mini-game. This will let you see some more interesting spots in Gielinor and let give you a few more ideas on what you want to do. Enjoy your stay with us in members =D

what rs item, ability ect would you want irl?
I would have the blue party hat due to its valu... ohh wait I think random events would be pretty.. well, random. A Specialist Bee Keeper popping up asking a complete stranger how to assemble his B & Q flat pack bee hive. or Some random woman asking you to find her "evil twin" who is already conveniently trapped in a room (with some other random people who don't seem to be bothered about being kept against their will) and pull her out with a claw crane game and drop her mercilessly into a prison cage. or A huge red dragon wearing glasses takes you away and tests you whilst sitting in a class of zombies... or You get dropped into the hot seat of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" only to be asked what the odd one it... A trout | A shark | A 24 ct gold ring I just think it would be funny for that to just happen whilst going about our day to day lives...

The History of Your RS Name
samaster came from when i first created my Xbox live gamer tag, around about the time halo 2 came out on xbox original. I was sitting around on the floor trying to come up with a "cool" name. I was thinking about the master chief from the halo franchise, and was going to have chief sam, or master sam then came up with sam the master, took one 'm' out and got rid of the 'the' and got samaster. Some noob has the samaster account name on rs and is not even in the highscores kinda bummed about that. =[ Maybe one day jagex will remove accounts that have no skills ranked and/or have been inactive for more than 2 years.

how would the noob version of yourself react to the you of today?
To be honest the noob me, wouldn't say anything to the.. less noob me. Firstly because from the combat lvls 50-90ish i was perm muted for saying msn to many times and because i would be too scared to talk to a "high-leveled-player" after being told by my mate that they could kill me where ever i was and i couldn't attack them back. It was fun back in the day... nicking pickaxe heads then gleefully running away. =D

Vannaka all the way, one of the first npc's i ever took notice of when i first started playing. (tutorial island ftw!) AND... he wields a 2h and a D square that just screams pro to me... or modder

Favourite Godsword
I may be wrong but I thought that all the damage soaking update is going to do is allow people to see how much there armour is working but showing them how much the armour has reduced the hit by. Not really changing how much the player is hit. If this update comes out and give all armour the same effect (minus the prayer loss) as the dss or the ely then they will drop a huge amount.

~ scroll of cleansing speed ~
ok, so taking this into account, making an inventory of potions is actually the same speed with or witout the speed up. I have timed this on my phone (not to accurate but i am looking for a timer that dosnt conflict with the rs rules) and the times are exactly the same for each inventort created regardless of how many are spead up. I am thinking that it is only for single use creation, say if you get some ingredience drops and make them into a pot quick wihilst killing.

~ scroll of cleansing speed ~
I have recently acquired the scroll of cleansing for herblore. Now in the knowledge-base it states that: "You receive a 1 in 8 chance that you make a potion twice as fast as usual" Now I have been making around 1/1.5k potions a day for around a week since getting it, and have noticed that, instead of the potion being made quicker then the next potion being made at the same speed. A potion is made then the potion that is made quicker is made then a short pause, then the next potion is made. This has no affect on the amount of time taken to make an invt of potions. Is this meant to be this way? Or is it only directed at single potion creation?
