  1. Silly, silly, silly little boy. Didn't you learn anything in Sunday School? Can't compare O.T. with N.T. there, ace. :shame:
  2. I prefer macadamias to pecans, but pecans are good enough. I think the topical question should be WBWJE? What biscuit would Jesus eat? WWJD....For a Klondike bar
  3. Who said I have a lack of faith? I go to CCD (Sunday School) every week. I'm just looking for something to prove to me that god is in fact real. ~Joe. Your quote right there proves your have a so called "lack of faith", when you say "I'm just looking for something to prove to me that god is in fact real." Faith - ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãânoun 1. confidence or trust in a person or thing: faith in another's ability. I don't have a lack of confidence or trust. ~Joe. Well now, aren't we an idiot...Lets try a real definition, shall we? http://wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=faith ^Note Princeton. Noun * S: (n) religion, faith, religious belief (a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny) "he lost his faith but not his morality" * S: (n) faith, trust (complete confidence in a person or plan etc) "he cherished the faith of a good woman"; "the doctor-patient relationship is based on trust" * S: (n) religion, faith, organized religion (an institution to express belief in a divine power) "he was raised in the Baptist religion"; "a member of his own faith contradicted him" * S: (n) faith (loyalty or allegiance to a cause or a person) "keep the faith"; "they broke faith with their investors" WordNet home page Also note COMPLETE CONFIDENCE. Doesn't look like you have complete confidence if you need proof. Oh, and mister Sunday School kid. How about a quote from the Bible to set you off? Nevertheless, as soon as the other disciples saw St Thomas they cried out, "We have seen the Lord!" However, the missing disciple Thomas was not so easily convinced and probably thought, 'perhaps it was an illusion a ghost of some sort'. St Thomas then told his fellow disciples, "Unless I see the mark of the nails in His hands, and put my finger in the mark of the nails, and my hand in his side, I will not believe".

  5. LOL. Right. Its just a coincidence that danofilth2 is close to Dani Filth, lead singer of Cradle of Filth, who developed a shirt with a picture of a nun on the front pleasuring herself with a crucifix, and the words "Jesus is a [bleep]" on the back? Idiot
  6. I'm not being influenced, but why would got torment the people he put on this world. ~Joe. Once again, way to make a counter argument. ITS CALLED FREE WILL. He is not "tormenting" us, he IS SIMPLY NOT CONTROLLING US.
  7. Could say the same thing about your RSN, ace. Edit: And way to make a counter argument
  8. And am I correct in assuming you listen to these black metal bands (like cradle of filth for one, judging by your name) and think that they are "satanic"? I would hope you are not being influenced by them in your thinking....
  9. Ever heard of free will? What kind of a God would create puppets? Since that essentially is what you are suggestion...
  10. Eh, I've seen it mentioned it general, something stupid about AP Classes and honors classes giving massive bonuses to GPA at someone's school. It's really bull for the most part. Yes. It is really bull to give someone more credit for taking college level classes when his/her peers are taking base high school classes. 6.0 comes with a weighted average. The weighted GPA takes into account honors and AP classes. In an honors class, a "B" is a normal 3.0, and counts as a weighted 4.0. (Honors you add 1, AP you add 2. I.E. a "C" in an AP class is the equivalent to an "A" in a normal class, and a "B" in an honors class.) Weighted GPA is never shown by itself. On college applications, your normal GPA is shown, and then weighted GPA IS SOMETIMES shown. This is not "bull". It is showing you were in a much higher class.
  11. Hey all, Since there seems to be alot of people with a strong economic background on this thread (or at least, pretend to have a strong economic background  ), any chance any of you can look over my homework, and tell me if I am on the right track? I made a post in the general section: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=720294 Thank you sooo much. I am kinda lost on the last bit. (Especially hoping for some help from Flammacor or qeltar )
  12. Also, Notes for Chapters 11 and 12 (The chapters this particular homework is from) can be found at the following link (my course web page): http://www.econ.umd.edu/~abozaid/econ305/
  13. I could use some help.... I am currently in Econ 305 (Intermediate Macroeconomics), and I am having some trouble with this homework. Before I get started, I want to say that I do NOT want the answer. Merely, I want to know if I am on the right track, and if not, a push in the right direction. Here are the 2 problems: Econ 305, problem set 6 Question 1 Suppose that the economyÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s production function is given by Y = K^(1/3) * L^(2/3) (K raised to the one-third times L raised to the two-thirds) and that both the saving rate, s, and the depreciation rate, ÃÆýÃâô , are equal to 0.10. a) What is the steady-state level of capital per worker? B) What is the steady-state level of output per worker? Suppose that the economy is in steady state and that in period t, the depreciation rate increased from 0.10 to 0.20 permanently. c) What will be the new level of steady-state capital per worker and output per worker? d) Compute the path of output per worker and capital per worker over the first three periods after the change in the depreciation rate. Question 2 Suppose that economy's production function is given by: Y = K^(1/2) * (AN)^(1/2) (k raised to the one-half, times AN raised to the one-half) a) Are there decreasing returns to capital? B) Transform the production function into a relation between output per effective worker and capital per effective worker. c) Suppose that the growth rate of capital is 0.02, the growth rate of labor is 0.02 and the growth rate of the technological progress is 0.04. What is the growth rate of output? d) Suppose that the saving rate, s, is 0.16, the depreciation rate ÃÆýÃâô is 0.1, the number of workers grows at 0.02 and the growth rate of technological progress is 0.04. Find the Steady State capital per effective worker, the steady state output per effective worker and the growth rate of output per effective worker. e) Suppose now the growth rate of technological progress is 0.08. Redo part d. Ok. Still with me? Here is what I have come up with so far. #1. a. 1 b. 1 c. Steady-state capital per worker: 0.9 I found this by taking K1/N - K0/N = s[cubed root of K0/N] - ÃÆýÃâô [K0/N]. K1/N (Capital in period 1) is unknown. (What we are trying to find). K0/N (Capital in period 0) is 1. (Since it was in steady-state previously. So, this boils down to K1/N - 1 = [(0.1)(Cubed root of 1)] - [(0.2)(1)] which equals -.1. So, 1 - -0.1 = 0.9 Steady-state output of worker: 0.9654 (Found by taking the cubed root of 0.9) d. Following the formula Kt+1/N - Kt/N = s[cubed root of Kt/N] - ÃÆýÃâô[Kt/N] (Capital in period t + 1 minus capital in period t is equal to the savings rate s times the cubed root of capital in period t, minus depreciation rate ÃÆýÃâô times capital in period t.) Following this formula, I arrived at Kt+1/n = .8165. Kt+2/N = .7466 Kt+3/N = .688 #2 a. Yes. (I do not fully understand why, this is what it says in the book though.) b. (K^1/2)/((AN)^(1/2)), or squared root of K over squared root of AN. c. 0.06 (Found by adding gN and gA (Growth rate of labor with growth rate of technological progress.) d. This is where I start to fall apart. I am not quite sure on how to approach this. Any help? Once again, I am not asking for the answers. I am merely trying to get input on how I am doing....Am I headed in the right direction? On #2, part d (and ultimately e) do I redo what I was doing in #1, part d, but with the added technological progress? Thanks, Bobby
  14. Value of money is falling. Same thing as real world. 30 years ago, you could go to the movies for 2 dollars. Now, I am lucky to leave at under 15.
  15. Soooo... Ever read Lord of the Rings? (or watched the movie, since you do seem to be slightly intellectually challenged) How about played Diablo? How can you expect every game to be completely unique? They are pulling these ideas/utilizing similar themes because they believe them to be good. Following this logic, a new car company: Should they make their car not out of metal? Should they leave out a seatbelt? Tires? Oil?
  16. What are you not gonna do with 100k needles?! Rub them slowly over your nipples? Or maybe thats just me.....
  17. Can I say you're wrong about you're math at least? .01% of 200m is 20k. 2m is 1%, Ace.
  18. Yes and no. They will attempt to set a market price. And in fact, they will set a market price, but only for the G.E. (If you want to humor me, and look at the G.E. as a separate market) However, the trade/forum/w2 market will set the true price. Being smart has nothing to do with it. They can NOT control the price of new items as long as there is another method of trading in the game. Period. End of story. Edit: To give an example. Think of the Abyssal Whip. Best weapon in the game when it came out. If the G.E. were around, and JaGeX wanted to set the price at 50k, they could simply put in a range of 45k to 55k, and set average price to 50k, right? wrong. No one would sell at that price, when they have the best item in the game. They would rather hold onto the weapon. Now think about what happens when people find out about this weapon. They make posts on the forums, offering what they are willing to pay for the item. WHAT THEY (the market) ARE WILLING TO PAY FOR THE ITEM. Yes i do agree with this point, but when summoning comes out, it's reasonable to assume that TONS of new items will be available to many players, and I realize that W2/forums is a seperate market, but if Jagex were to set the price in the GE for these items, the community would FOR THE MOST PART be strongly influenced by jagex's price range of the item. If the government passed a law that stated that gas prices in the United States are not to pass 50 cents a gallon, how many gas stations do you think you would find?
  19. Excuse me? Then what exactly is the point of making a post? He obviously wants feedback, and we are giving it to him. I personally agree with most, but not all of what Qeltar is saying. If you disagree with what he is saying, explain what you believe to be true. But don't make a post complaining when he disagrees with you. Qeltar has yet to make a point about someone else's comments without providing backup information which strengthen his points.
  20. Yes and no. They will attempt to set a market price. And in fact, they will set a market price, but only for the G.E. 21. Relevance = ? The reason why there is too much supply and not enough demand is that the prices are too high and sellers can't lower them. Why is that so difficult for some people to understand? I can only sell calquat seeds for 38k or whatever. If I could sell them for 29k or so, they'd have been sold hours ago. Is this really hard to understand? I don't get it. And that's the entire basis of my article, and why this exchange isn't nearly as good as it could have been - Jagex is mucking with supply and demand. Time for another econ major to jump in... Qeltar is absolutely right in using real world economics to analyze the game's economy since it is just that: an economy. The real world econ laws are fundamental. They transfer to any economy. Do not think that there is no tangible economy in runescape simply because its pixels. Behind every pixel is a person engaging in the economy. Lol, and your first point is simply amusing. What does the age of consumers have to do with their spending, besides taste? Edit: Just wanted to say something about your statement "have little to no understanding of action=reaction". Can you honestly say that the majority of people spending understand what their dollar is doing in the system? Can you honestly say that the average person understands economics at the level you are implying?
  22. Um...your topic title...'nuff said? Uhh I hate to double post on this but people arnt getting this, THERE IS NOT ONE PLACE IN THIS THREAD WERE I HAVE SAID "nuff said" wtf? Thats just blatant ignorance dude, mostly because its NO THERE. Wow. If you weren't so busy back pedaling trying to make excuses/defend yourself, maybe you'd realize that i was saying: "look at the title of your topic, enough said" as in, you grouped yourself as a high level player Can't argue with an idiot mate...Don't even try
  23. This is going to be a very big, and probably interesting change! For example, if (and this is a big if) they decide to make it so you keep items upon death placed on the player value, items like whips will protect over items with a higher shop value, but a lower player value, like dragon battle axes. This will help prevent scams, and help out no matter where you die. I remember one time I died and kept my rune full helm over an amulet of glory, back when they were around 95k. This has a lot of potential use, and unfortunately, potential abuse. Someone could put up multiple listings for ashes in the grade exchange at millions of gp each, and use it to enter one of the one million gp duels. Hopefully Jagex will put in something to prevent this. There might also be some sort of price check system, which will show the average price of an item, the range, or hopefully the range with obvious outliers removed. So, I was wondering what all of your thoughts on this new update are. mmm, my phat will never leave my head if that is true!
