I don't think you need complex statistics, third-party tools and preset's I believe that creativity in any game is fun and gives players a richer and more visceral game experience instead of playing '# Character Combination 43'. I don't think anything apart from text and a good imagination is needed to run a game like this, statistical point systems are only required if people are insisting on one-upping every other character, otherwise a written description by the moderator is enough. So why do you disagree Ross?

Overcomplicated and thus won't be playing. I'm trying to say that there is no need for characteristics and preset careers, the point of a forum based game is that it gives you a freedom that you don't get with normal text based games. If I wanted to play a game like this I would go online and download a MUD. Why would you need a manual to play a game that could potentially be extrememly simple.

It has come to recent media attention that new evidence links the Indonesian government to severe acts against humanity and war crimes. Independent reporters have found documents that show a direct link between a set of gruesome murders in New Zealand. Gary Antoine and Claire Antione were found dead in there boat last May, there had been evidence of torture, both were found naked with there liver and heart removed. the documents described the honeymooning couple to have seen an Indonesian spy boat, the Indonesian spys were instructed to make it appear as if the murders were commited by a psychopath. The new documents also give rise to the infamous Indonesian 'Purity-Camps' in which allegedly the Indonesians have been practising eugenics and human vivisection. The documents have yet still not been released due to security threats however it is believed that they will be accessable to the public by mid-July.

Although we disagree can we just come to a comprimise of at least assuming that the police actually did there job with in the month or so. Assuming that they did do there job then I would actually have a reasonable amount of land left. Its not realistic to assume to 100% of China rebelled and its all in chaos. Can I have an estimate of how many of the police are still loyal and alive. Just a suggestion, in cases such as this could we please have a 'loyalty map' with red being arranged forces against the country and white being loyalists to the emperor. I think I've made a fairly reasonable one with Bejing having many loyalists and poorer area's that are further away from the palace have many disloyal people with a few dispersed loyal people. The chancellor leads (Chinese example: Hu Jintao, The Ruling party) and then if the president wants to interfere then he can bypass whatever he chooses. Thats how it works in real life. The paramilitarys are autonomous, if I killed somebody infront of a police officer would the police officer do anything? Yes, a full murder investigation would happen!!! According to Archi they killed random civilians in villages, obviously people who aren't government leaders of even private sector leaders. They aren't arresting everyone off the street, they're arresting corrupt individuals. That requires research. Archi took it as 'lets murder everyone randomly' despite me never saying that I wouldn't murder anyone. My military doesn't exist but my armed police (which pretty much are military) WOULD handle it. I wasn't aware of there being in a civil war in the first place, I had to find Archi's status update later. Besides, it is completely unrealistic to assume that the killing of a few corrupt individuals would result in a civil war, in PRC of all countrys. First of all there is huge paramilitary with an estimated 1.1 to 1.5 members. In other words, my police force would prevent a civil war and destroy any rioters pretty quickly. We know what happened last time there were protests. The government killed 400-800 individuals with only about fifty deaths of policemen and military. -- I didn't say that I would send out 'death squads' killing everyone at all In OOC I said I would kill people by execution, execution isn't just shooting people suspected of a crime. Execution means that you take them to a prison, try them and then if they're guilty you then execute them. That is the LAW in China, officials wouldn't just go around breaking the law because the Emporor told them to go an arrest people. Why are you listening to my OOC anyway, how would the officials get my OOC? -- If this was to happen why would these death squads be attacking villages? Only peasants live in Chinese villages, the top officals who could actually be accused of corruption will be in the city. How can China's Industrial and Economic Business Owners be possibly guilty of corruption? Corruption in the PRC is by the government, private sector corruption doesn't really exist. -- How would death squads get over China in the time occured? -- This seems awfully along the lines of the moderator getting bored and so destroying a country. -- If this ridiculous event did occour, why could the Emperors China not be able to protect ANY BIT OF LAND? I have an absoloutely huge police force that could almost certaintly defend itself from an attack of generally unarmed civilians So in other words, a majority of the people rebelling are unarmed. Many won't be hunters, some will but VERY little. And illegal firearms aren't likely seeing the sentence is so high and the sheer size and integrity of the Chinese police.
