  1. I didn't read it right, I walk through the sixth door with my shield poised high.
  2. It's all just meaningless off topic drivel, just tell me if I'm going wrong. -- I smash my shield into the concrete wall, this will hopefully create a hole in the concrete.
  3. Pretty much. If you want a reference, go look at the old Dungeoneering - this is going to be pretty similar to that. Could I have a link please.
  4. We're already playing a game in IRC, it's nice to have some variety. There is a Java issue on my computer with IRC but I think it works. Do we just say what our character does?
  5. 5:00 PM GMT onwards on all days work fine for me. 5:30 PM GMT onwards on mondays and tuesdays.
  6. Looks fun, not avaliable on mac. Thus, I won't be playing.
  7. Name: Mikåel Slot 1: Smoke Form (transforms target into smoke, more energy is sued Slot 2: Kickback Slot 3: Smoke form (The shield engulfs the user and the user transforms into smoke, the user has free travel in this form and can travel EXTREMELY fast. The more the user stays in this form the more energy that is lost. This is pretty much the same thing as apparation in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Film version however it doesn't allow transportation through walls or to places of 1000m away Slot 4: Defensive Slot 5: A small shield (60cm*60cm) circular, concave, spike in middle for impalement. Microchip is stored in middle of brain, it emenates the shield from the right hand.
  8. Name: Mikåel Slot 1: Smoke Slot 2: Kickback Slot 3: Phasing (can go through whatever the user pleases then rematerialise) Slot 4: Defensive Slot 5: A small shield (60cm*60cm) circular, concave, spike in middle for impalement. Question, what do people wear in the future?
  9. Where do these energy weapons emenate from? Do they replace you're arm or a part of you're body or are they like normal weapons that just so happen to be made of energy.
  10. One of the cursed is a man that goes by the name of Captain. Bénard Wallace, a pirate universally regarded as a failiure. Without a crew and with only a small dinghy even the authority's have stopped paying attention to his foolish attempts at piracy. He is of large-build and an alchoholic, despite having strong physical strength his plans usually end up with him being overpowered very quickly by guns and swords. [hide=Image of his appearence][/hide] The curse placed upon him is a strange tendency to transform into a fish-like aquatic monster while partially submerged in water. The onset of transformation occurs when at least submerged up the the thigh's in water or similar, standing near water doesn't count; he must be in the water. Once underwater his hands are replaced with thick kerotin claws capable of ripping through human flesh like a warm knife through butter, his facial structure is changed to resemble an angler fish with teeth capable of ripping apart prey, his eyes allow underwater and telescopic vision and his sense of smell is enhanced, his feet develop fins to allow him to swin, gills are formed all over his body and boney growth's grow over his torso and back protecting him from any sort of damage. In water he can swim at about 140 mp/h Once out of water in fish form he will slowly return to human form in the course of about half an hour. His awareness and memory aren't altered however a sense of rage fills him while in the fish-form. [hide=image of fish form][/hide]
  11. A doodle I created just now: -- It seems to work now but there was an issue in the past with it, it is something to do with the Java. To be honest I would much prefer rolling a dice. There is no need for all these new-fangled systems.
  12. [hide] [/hide] Wow Icu (mind if I call you that?), That sounds fantastic. I love the theme you are using, it is a time period that really appeals to me because it isn't over run with cliché's such as dragons and orcs but is consistent, easy to understand and allows a lot of creative licence. The theme is just on the verge between meleé and firearm combat with both giving equal proficiency in combat. What do you mean by puzzle? Will we have to work out codes and such? Will power's progress over time despite not having levels? Will I be able to cast more powerful spells endgame in comparison to the start of the game? When will it be starting, I'd love to start right away :). Edit: IRC wasn't actually working for me for some reason but I think it is fixed, if I have another issue I will just install a non-java client and connect that way. I won't be playing if you use maptool.
  13. That 20th of June thing was a bit of an overestimate. I am back now. Would anyone be willing to talk to me about the possible different systems for working out budget's in hegemony threads? I'm not very good at maths so I need a simple formula that is quick and easy to work out.
  14. Sorry about creating a page, if there is an issue please delete my thread and make you're own.
  15. Resistance posted a topic in Falador Tavern
A round table, visible only by flickering candle light. The six spaceknights of SpacePort-12 had congregated for what was one of there most important missions yet; they were ordered by the Grand Consul to deilver logs and other vital information about there missions to the planet troper, a multimedia planet with satellites that could broadcast information back to to the homworld. This mission wouldn't be without its dangers, the planet Troper had information unheard of to normal humans, if they even looked at the information on planet troper they would be consumed, a life time wasted simply flitting between mindless trivia and discrete webcomics. If they succeeded they would be granted everlasting glory, and a return to earth as hero's. If they returned.... Space: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Space [incomplete] Hegemony: [Not created yet] Please feel free to add anything on to this post, moderators :)
  16. After that we could work on one based on the hegemony genre of games.
  17. Best use of blending so far :) Good sense of light sensed on the top of the trousers and on the belt. - Mather, there is green bits in the hair :P I prefered Stork's one lol. You wouldn't believe how I just read that.... I can understand how it be annoying. It ruins the sense of freedom that people get when they research there own technologys, fortunately the tech tree will simply act as a guideline. You will research things like electricity, machinery or gunpowder and then it is up to you what you do with it. And then they're free from the tech tree for another fifteen years. Research only covers a few brief things (maybe 15) and then everything else must be researched the normal way. What do you think?
  18. I completely forgot april fools day, I was going to bring in a large amount of condoms which I was going to place over chairs and objects around the school but I just damn forgot! Would anybody be willing to answer my question in the back room.
  19. The actual technology tree will be used among normal research, the tech tree will guide you're progress through the game and make sure that you can't research things too early and essentially make keeping track of technology much easier on me. The technology will remain in synchronisation with politics (so medieval torture isn't relevent at a stage where machinery and computers are being introduced). Everything will need to be researched however if a person hasn't yet researched things on the tech tree that would be required to research a certain thing then they will need to research things on the tech tree beforehand. I will try to keep it as less-intrusive as possible, I know how stressful it is to be pushed by 'the invisible hand of god', it will be avalible on the front page but will merely act as a guide for some basic technologys. A few examples of what could be researched through tech-tree's: Machinery, Computers, Weaponry, Democracy, Fission and then things such as 'nuclear flame guns' and 'nuclear powerplants' have to be researched. What do you think of this? Would you want to play a hegemony game with this system in place?
  20. Mather, I will do that and will make a majority of things link up to each other. I'll draw it up later so you can see.
  21. OH MAN. If Space were more public, we could totally get away with that. If you were willing to spend the time and effort TvTropes has a whole article boasting about its lack of notability.
  22. What is the general consensus of tech tree's (such as the ones featured in the civ games) in hegemony games around here? I have been thinking about systems for my possible future hegemony and have come to the conclusion that a tech tree would eliminate a lot of problems and save a lot of time. You will still be allowed to research individual technologys but a select number (around a dozen) will have to be researched by the tech tree. What do we think?
  23. No because Stork's are better
  24. I've been doodling as well :) [hide=Warning large image][/hide]
  25. So its like a needlessly complex and more restricted version of the popular game: Space.
