There are updates to take into account, too.

Do we even know for sure that all the necessary skills are determined before the effigy is investigated once? I submit that it is more likely that there are only eight types of each level of effigy. Edit: Actually, it would still have to «remember» what skills were used to avoid doubling up on them. So I guess that doesn't work.

Ah, I see. I was thinking it was just those milestones. I actually am keeping track of almost 400 players, although a lot of them have probably been knocked off the top 10 in their game by now, and I haven't noticed because they haven't changed their names. And most of the rest are probably inactive. :P
-
Yeah, just realized that was a longer gap. But only by six months, so this one will be longer by the end of the year.

I've been keeping track of all the name changes on the FunOrb highscores since the name-change feature came out; it's not hard at all. Just add everyone on an alt account (this would also let you use the friends highscores, which would probably be more convenient anyway) and check at least once every four weeks. Actually, if you have everyone added you shouldn't even need to check. A few times I've actually been lazy enough to wait more than four weeks, but I know I can reconstruct the name changes from my friends' highscores if I miss someone.
-
Why do you feel that? It's been longer since the last skill than at any time since RS2 began, possibly in the entire history of RS.
-
Why would name-changing cause someone to be dropped from that list?

icecube: I have my demon butler plank mahogany logs. If you tell him to un-cert another 26 mahogany logs when he returns with the planks, the planks will be banked automatically. I stand in the study between the globe and the bookshelf to guarantee he always appears in the same place. I can plank about 6k logs per hour, at a cost of about 1596 gp per log (plus the cost of the log). At current GE prices that would be a little over 2m per hour. Note that I haven't done Love Story - it's slightly better if you have. I guess 576k would still be a little more than 15 minutes' worth. Assuming exactly 2m/hr it would be 17.28 minutes, which would mean an average rate of 189k/hr burning yew logs at a rate of 1200/hr.

pulli: You've always had to work for rewards in RS. Am I reading your post wrong? Although I do get your point about the work for a quest being doing the quest rather than grinding to prepare for it. gsp: What are you burning? I can't see how you're getting 100k/hr unless you're burning willows, or maybe maples if you pause often (or fail at walking while firemaking, like I did for a while). And you should be burning yews. Assuming you burn 1200 logs per hour, that's 243k per hour, at a cost of 576k per hour. That 576k should take, what, 15 minutes to make back? So the overall rate is about 200k/hour.

^I believe he is saying the 4199 hours are assuming Suomi uses effigies on Farming after 200m RC, and it would be 3919 if he uses them on Woodcutting instead Is that for a new account or starting at all 99s?
-
Also, I assume Kngkyle gained 2.6M xp, not 2.6 xp. ;)
-
How clear is the change? I can see people not realizing the requirement has been nerfed, training to 90 Firemaking, then finding out after the quest comes out that they didn't need to... Anyway, I don't do quests, but I'm going for 99 Firemaking at the moment, so thanks for telling me about curly roots. :)

Fletching, circa August 2006. I had somewhere over 85 when construction came out and fletched magic longs for money up to 22m xp or so. Finally got 99 construction just two days ago. :P Haven't ever played all that regularly. I also got 99 woodcutting on the 16th, which I was also doing mostly for money.

That wouldn't mean 200m cooking is harder for that person than 200m agility, unless they actually couldn't train it faster for some reason. That 200m cooking with anchovies is harder than 200m agility doesn't mean 200m cooking in general is, even for one person since they have the option of not using anchovies. I do think the difficulty could be said to vary by person, but not because of their choice of training methods, but rather because of, say, how much they enjoy the skills or the particular training method. But I also think that it's reasonable to say that 200m agility is harder than 200m cooking, when not considering any particular person. And now I'm wondering -- how long would it take to get 200m cooking just cooking anchovies?

I was f2p recently and cut oaks/yews in Draynor.

I don't either -- FunOrb also has right-click reporting... actually, if you click the "report abuse" button on FunOrb it will tell you to right-click the player's name instead, lol.

I mean maximum number of opponents within those nine squares...
-
Saw a thread on the RSOF suggesting that as a fast way to train range, but I think they dropped the idea after learning there was a maximum number of opponents it can effect. So my best guess is that those people are going to be rather disappointed, not that I know anything about chinning.

Hi, I'm Zizoz. Um... that's about it I guess. :P

If you could vote again, what would you vote?
Zizoz replied to Miner_Guy's topic in General Discussion
Didn't vote but was leaning toward yes; don't think that would change. -
No. Brawling gloves will not work during the bonus XP weekend. Also, announcing it early gives the economy more time to adjust. If they'd announced it several months in advance, I expect we'd see hardly any effect, as people would begin stocking up at different times and others would start producing the resources in greater quantities.

Yay for six hours of bonus construction XP followed by two days of SC hammers not working. In the meantime, cutting mahoganies. >.>
