    "Warriors of Guthix" RIP
  1. Thats keeper [cabbage] right there. Anyone here remember the 3 turns rule? (Now that we're getting all nostalgic) Or hell, do you get the joke behind my signature even?
  2. We could do with optional weather and day/night cycle. I've been thinking this myself but maybe it's a bit pointless past the initial amusement. Could be wrong.
  3. That sounds pretty unlikely. Some of those scammers probably make about 10k a day on average scamming like that. Come to think of it, a lot of you have been saying that 'Jagex has said this' 'Jagex has said that', well can someone please give me a link because you seem to be disagreeing over whether or not spamming 'Doubling money' is a reportable offence.
  4. Why can't we just report these players then? Mind you, there are an awful lot of them...
  5. That's a pretty bold statement, we could get a very large influx of new players (especially with the recent updates to trading and the wilderness) all hoping to buy whips; they haven't had enough time to do that yet! Your 'supply' may just be once again outweighed by demand. My point is that it isn't the whips that are losing value, it's everything. I can't explain why this is, since not everything has a larger supply and some things with a much larger supply are doing better than others. Really, considering the huge effect the changes have made, we can't predict anything right now other than the RS economy is going to act very differently from now on.
  6. Recently a lot of people have been flooding the trade areas with some rot about 'Doubling money.' and 'The Trust Game'. What is this all about? Are these crummy scams? How do they work? How long is this going to last, anyway?
  7. I don't understand why anyone would want to be a nit-picker. I'm sorry, but isn't the price of everything crashing right now? We've just been launched into a completely different economy and people see chaos and are loosing faith. I'm sure most of the prices will go up, just give it a few months. Meanwhile, all you buyers out there can enjoy freshly low prices on everything.
  8. This. EW3 was one of the most excruciating quests in the game. The only ones that come close are See No Evil and One Small Favour. Not to mention that the rewards COMPLETELY suck for the hours of irritation involved in EW quests. EW3 was the worst quest. It's so incredibly mind-numbingly boring. Woops I clicked on the wrong lever, better go back FIFTY MOVES and hope I don't DISCONNECT again.
  9. It's true, there's no point worrying about 'stable economies' in RS right now, because right now the economy is a fraction of what it could be. We need to unleash free trade completely upon it, have a long period of screwy GE sales and then it will look better than ever. Before the GE existed... ah yes, I remember the General Stores being full of general crap people were getting rid of; at bargain prices!
  10. Hi, I'm Fornald. I've always been interested in RS economy and stopped playing a while after free trading and the wilderness was dropped. Now that they've realised how that killed RuneScape, Jagex seems to have revived it so I'm going to get involved again. I played first about 8 years ago, but not properly. Started playing properly with RS2, hated the graphical updates thereafter but I like RS HD + Full Screen. Things I love about RS: * The thrill of dodging scammers. * The awe of overcoming macros who are faster miners than you. * The sea of selling text (which now seems to reside around the GE). * The pride and satisfaction after spending 2 days straight earning 10k (yeah, I'm so rich; I know). * Being restricted in F2P. Nothing more soothing on the ears than hearing that gentle "You must be on a member's world to do this." * Seeing a Jagex Mod once a month and forgetting all of my problems and issues with Jagex whilst I kiss ass to ask for 'mod status' and 'can you do your animation?'. I'm not even joking, I love that. It's so OLD SCHOOL.
