  1. ya it strayed cause i had a lot of people request that i add more sections, such as the smelting part... the tips... the company making guide. as for the summery, ya i could add that as a last section.
  2. ya i could probably buy a santa but i dont think i ever will cause i never have more then like 20m in cash now adays (normally like 1-10m) and ty for the 9.9.
  3. actully if you only got like 1 exp per second of running (a trickle) it would take you 150.4 days straight of running to get from 1 to 99. edit[ um ya... dang it... he posted my inform before i did... (oh well) Its still true... at that rate it would be easier for an autoer just to goto the agility course.... Im not saying that this would be the best way to get ur agility up... just saying running should give a bit of exp ]
  4. OK its finally here V4. With a whole new section: Company management. hey Death_Dude74, I finally got the new update done... Took me 2 hours to type, code, and debug. So you best enjoy :D.
  5. adam1480 -well there could be 2 reasons why u dont knnow what it means. #1 - u dont know what "^" means... it means to the power of #2 ur not in high enough math to know what exponents are (in which cause it means 2^31-1 2 to the power of 31 subtracted by 1 so 2x2x2x2x2x2.... (2 times it self 31 times) then subtract 1... which ends up 2,147,483,648 - 1 = 2,147,483,647 which is the number in () hope this clears everything up for ya Death_Dude74 - yes i know that getting 99 isnt just clicking (im after 99 smithing, and maybe 99 fletching myself; i guess ur right when u said it seemed like i agreed that it is just clicking... so i did edit that (as for computers im a bit of a programmer myself so i stand by my statement (am not saying its not possible just improbable). (got a bit to go still :() and i agree i should go more in depth into organizing a buisness. Ill have to get on that a bit later as im actully just repling to this post then leaving. Buisnesses are very difficult and complicated to set up... so now that u mention it it is a well needed addition (ill increase the version to V4 when im done so keep ur eye out...) Depending on how long it is i may make it a completely new section. anywho... im off for now... will reply to this post when im finished with the update.
  6. i have to disagree with ur statement that a computer could merchant, yes it is true that computers are getting better, however i feel that with current technology and current skill, effective "auto-merchants" are still impossible. There are bots that auto-buy from stores. However there are not ones that are capiable of efficently merchanting off of players. (that is cabible of doing the following to be a true merchant... -making decisions based upon what the market is doing (includes buy/sell prices -being able to make sure ur not getting scammed -being able to offer the right amout of cash to pay for the amount of ores you are buying. im sure u could program something to buy all iron ore 100ea, sell for 110ea (or even up to 130ea)... however the iron ore market changes (when i first started playing i could buy iron ore 50ea sell for 100ea.) So for now... i cant agree with that. I have also yet to see a bot that buys/sells form/to people. i will however add that getting to 99 does require raw determiation (a skill absolutely required to get to 99 without using some sort of bot). After all u do need to be at least somewhat motivated to click a mouse a million or so times.
  7. goto to worlds like... 1,3,4,5,7,8 and other almost full worlds (1,900+ people, i find f2p worlds work best (as there are better ways for members to make money). and try fally east bank... remember to world hope if u dont see any sellers in like 2 minutes or so. ill have to include this comment in tips section, or make a FAQ section.
  8. Xanotex + Xanotex - its focused on Mining+smithing because its what i do... but it also says that basicly anything can be merchanted. And because i mechant those... its more focused on them... however the methods can be applied to just about anything. your free to subbit any merchanting method you feel like (also never really saw much profit in merchanting willows so enlighten me).
  9. Yes this is a common problem. As a member who once was f2p for a long time (check signature for an idea of how long), ive seen this a lot. And will now tackle each of the arguements against this (as it will probably be easier) and state my opinion Arguement/reason against it. -quite true i agree member things should stay member - this makes jagexs life much easier, however maybe 1 f2p minigame would be good (give f2pers a sample of what its like) as for your agument of jagex making money u are not competely true. F2p is the true backbone to Runescape, while the members are the heart keeping runescape in buisness. However most people dont become member as soon as they start to play. They generally try the game out first... maybe days, weeks, months, even years before becoming members (that is if they ever do). However theres a flaw with $5s a month being a little. It adds up. I didnt want to become a member because i knew that if i quit being a member (probbaly running out of cash). I would have no room in my bank. This is where my first suggestion to jagex comes in - make it so member stuff doesnt take up room if ur f2p (as a courtsy to previous members). also You siad something about other MMORPGs that isnt part of the question. RS isnt other MMORPGs. RS also has far more paying members then others (I think i saw that somewhere). This might because it is an overall good game, but is probably because theres so many f2pers, f2pers decide wether the game is good or not, if they feel its good they tell there friends, those friends may become members. I think more f2p bank space (maybe another row) would be good. As for weekly updates i agree that wouldnt be a good idea. but maybe a new small f2p addition monthly. and like a bimonthly (every 2 months) (or so) have a big update. This would keep the f2pers, and members are getting new stuff anyway (about 3 updates a month at least). I highly doubt a member will quit being a member just cause theres more f2p stuff he can do as a member anyway. Maybe some new additions to the security stronghold. Im saying updates like trimmed weapons, trimmed boots, trimmed gloves, maybe a new f2p quest every once in a while. sense i started playing f2p back in sept of 04, i havent seen an update bigger then the security strong hold, which i thought was nice. Then i saw the member stuff and realized that members had 100x as much space to wonder around. 100x as much items. Adding a new addition to f2p every once in a while (maybe every 5 to 10 updates) wouldnt be a bad thing. a new skill wouldn't be a bad idea... ive seen 2 new members skills sense i started but not 1 f2p, also maybe a few new additions to f2p skills (higher lvl equiptment, somewhere down the line (bank space first). The main things i ask for is more bank space to f2p, after all they been asking for it for over 2 years now, and a new small update every once in a while: back to arguements. i saw some1 fighting that RS doesnt need more f2p bank space. Orgainizeation isnt anything about it. i used ot merchant ores+bars. with ores+bars+runes+rune armor+ other stuff you need to play the game well (such as maybe elemental staffs, and other stuff) i had maybe 4 slots left. so im saying another 4-slots would be good. this is also good for the new people who may have a lot of quest items and other stuff as well. also txlnghorns22 if ur parents wont let u it is not jagex's fault but jagex's problem. Jagex has a low "age limit" of 13 years old. Most people that are 13 would probably rely on there parents to pay. I do somewhat agree with Dalcyte, f2p has gotten a lot recently. But if u think about it. Its all been to help the noobs really (not a bad stratagy sense if the noobs die a lot or something they might quit pretty quick, its more a protection of jagex's investment. -bank in lumby: where do u spawn when u die? and when do u die the most? -Security strong hold: Show the new players how to keep there accounts secure, (does include some new high lvl though so ill give ya that much.) -Home teleport: the update siad it was for those who got lost (most likely the new players) -skill tutors - ... obviously new players. so ya for the new players. - The bottom Line. Currently f2p is pretty much ok. having more f2p stuff might attact more people and may increase the amount of members by attracting more people. The updates are more directed twards new players then they are general f2p. Without the unlimited free "trial" of f2p i would neve have become a member, and i bet many others wouldnt either. IF free to play needs any update its bank space. cash isnt really an issue. People play runescape that are poor and rich. Making member stuff f2p would probably never happen as it would make being a member pointless. However making a f2p addition every once in a while would keep f2p from geting dull and would probably keep people playing (either way member or not without players runecape will crumble). Im not saying that the free addition would be charity more like a long term investment. and remember runescape had f2p from the start. I think thats about all i got to say lol :).
  10. simple really* u dont... they get some bars for you (i have them get at least 250) then trade those bars for ores+cash. ya i dont quite make as much as i could... my company is big but not really effient. and i dont invest a ton of time into it maybe a few hours aday... and i could probably get ores+bars for cheaper from fally east bank but i really dont like yelling "buying this" and "selling that" all day. Id rather smith and have them come to me. *Corrected typo.
  11. MarketplaceFad - weather to base it on mine or not is up to you. As for buying and selling for mith, addy and rune ore, its not so much weather people will buy or sell... its weather there willing to buy or sell at the prices u are after.
  12. wizjany - hmmm i might use that calculatio in my guide and yea it would take a long time im at 86 smith and 40m, and im only about 30% maybe to lvl 99 smith. so ill probably have at least 100m by the time i get to 99 smith. which isnt bad considering it cost about 100m to get to 99 smith if u do it the fastest way (buy bars -> smith the best pl8 bodies u can make then alch them (exepct for iron pl8s just sell them)).
  13. tissueear - yup ty madjamie13 - superheat rune, use the al kharid furance to smelt, also hire army of smelters to smelt bars for me (for a fee). Sxcybob123 - i only use the methods above really, but u can merchant just about anything because nothing really has a stand price (like not everyone buys rune kites at 55k ea (some might buy 50ea). I find the fletching way gets annoying (if u smith the tips and then make arrows) however if u just bought and sold arrows it might work well (expectally for rune arrows (buy like 300-350 sell 400ea)). The_orange_cabbage - i beilve theres sentance that says it a long guide at the top of the guide (says its like 13 or 14 pages on microsoft word).
