It's not even a theory, really..

Errr...could you possible give us an example of said subliminal messages? You can't accuse something of having subliminal messages and not even give an example...

But it's true. People base the game entirely on its storyline. However, the multiplayer metagame requires so much more strategy. The mathematic formulas involved are amazing. Predicting your opponents actions is so important. People base their opinions on the game on the fact that you're not fighting with swords and armor, but you're fighting with cute little monsters. Competitive multiplayer Pokemon is intense. Building the perfect team is very difficult to do.

I used Kirby like a madman in the original due to his outstanding quickness and ability to lay a smackdown. For a while I used him in SSBM, but he seemed too weak for my tastes and my style didn't seem to fit well with the physics of the game. Now, I exclusively use Ganondorf. He's relatively quick for his strength, and I'm able to move around fast with him. Plus, he's a powerhouse. Even though he doesn't have much sprint speed, he delivers his moves very quickly.

Ape, do you play Netbattle?

I'm 17 and white... And as for money waster, it's what 40$ a game? Half the games are just clones with 2 or 3 pokemon tht you couldn't catch in the other :P $10 from a pawn shop. ;) Oh, and Runescape is $5 a month...Pokemon is a one-time fee....Runescape digs your pocket months at a time.

No point? Gotta catch 'em all, man! And I was addicted to Pok̮̩̉̉mon Yellow, but I caught them all so I stopped playing. You THINK you caught them all. But then when you had all of the yellow version, they came at you with the blue version. Then the red version. Then the gold version, the silver version, the black version, sky blue version, hot pink version, the new and improved rainbow version, the I'm going to invent a new color so I can make a new version version. And after they go to television and movies. Pfft, blue and red were before yellow, get it right :D (Dont flame me plx) Indeed, you had to combine Blue with Red in order to get them all on yellow. And after I got them all, I spent ages of training in the dungeon where Mewtwo was. I had like the bestest deck ever (all maximum level+ PP): Mewtwo Zapdos Dragonite Kabutops Dugtrio Venemoth Ooohh any Pokemon with a decent ice attack(Ice Beam or Blizzard) would completely tear apart that team. Zapdos, Dragonite, Dugtrio, and Venemoth are all weak to ice types.

I never cared much for the storyline, but the strategy in the game is amazing. Being able to determine using EVs and DVs what Pokemon will yield the highest stats and knowing which moves you should give them...it requires an enormous amount of strategic knowledge. As for the newer games, I love them too. As they become more complex, the strategy increases even further. Some friends and I have fun raising Pokemon in the original versions to level 40 and battling in teams of three. My current record is 6-1. :) My Slowbro is unstoppable(the reason I lost one is because the person I was fighting made me bench him).

Matt...they play as a ministry. Their entire purpose in playing is to spread their beliefs. So what if a band puts their beliefs into their lyrics?

I like Switchfoot. They're a pretty good band.

That's an awfully touchy subject to be posting about with no background information or anything on a message board full of people you don't know...I agree with the others...why did you post this?

My grandparents would have no clue who Tupac is, but they'd definitely know who the Beatles are. They get my vote.

You say you and your friend are both captains on the football team? That's an extremely important friendship. I also happen to be a captain with one of my friends, and I know that I would never ever put that friendship in jepordy. If I were you, I would flat out tell him during pre-practice stretches or something what she told you. It will solve both your problems. He will realize that his relationship with his girlfriend has obviously gone downhill, and you will strengthen your friendship with your co-captain ever further. Whatever you do, do not date her! As said before...if she'll cheat on someone with you, she'll cheat on you as well.

I'm 17 years old, 5'10", I bench press 245 and squat 475. I power clean 225 and dead lift 495. But this is all because of working hard to get better at football. This year I'm doing pretty well...2nd place in tackles on the team and 3 forced fumbles. :)

Knowing that every time I see her I'm going to smile. :)

I don't mind the fact that the Catholic officials believe this, but I do believe the fact that they are stating this belief as authority. Everyone of a religion has different individual beliefs as well as the commonly shared one, it's not up to the Catholic church to tell people how to believe. Though, that's what they've been doing for centuries.

You don't think NFL players play for the love of the game? I guarantee you nobody from the Green Bay team is very happy now. They're all competitive, they all want to win. And who's to say that college football players aren't only working to keep their scholarships? Personally, I think the real action is at the high school level.

Nope, I live in Virginia.

I live in Hampton, more specifically York County.

After coming off of a dissapointing 0-10 season last year, my high school has shown a LOT of improvement. I start both ways as an offensive guard and a nosetackle, and I'm also one of the three captains on our team. Last night we had our first victory, and we're now 1-2. Our first game we got completely blown out 61-7 by an extremely fast and strong team. Our second game we lost 27-21, against the team that is expected to win our district. We played very well. Last night our team came together. We had over 400 yards rushing and 95 yards passing, for 500 yards total offense. We won the game 27 to 13 against a fairly good team I love high school football, who else does?

I love school! I especially love my school! Being the captain of the football team and a senior class officer, I have alot of school spirit. I love my classes, especially AP biology. I get to learn alot about the human body, which I'm completely interested in. I see my girlfriend mostly at school and I get to hang out with all my friends. There's no where I'd rather be. :)
