  1. Thanks for the replies so far. I have void mage, so I'll plan on using that. I do not, however, have SS. Before EoC I managed fine without it, though I don't know how much things have changed there since then. What would be better for me, a shield/wand combo, a book/wand combo, or just a stave? Whatever you suggest, will you also recommend a specific book/shield/stave?
  2. I was hunting glacors a lot before the EOC, but obviously that's changed things. I have two questions that I'd appreciate answers to: 1. Are glacors still worth hunting? The boots have dropped dramatically in price. 2. What should my offensive setup be (spell, wand, and offhand)? I can't afford Nex gear, but anything else should be possible.
  3. Do Desert Treasures and ROTM, then do glacors. It'll take some time to do the quests, but it's well worth it. Besides, what's the point of having 99 mage without access to ancients. As far as I can tell from reading your post, you simply haven't done DT yet, it's not like you have any objection to doing it. ROTM will requrie considerable raising of skills, so if you don't want to do that, you could consider barraging rock lobs for charms.
  4. I would recommend against Monkey Knife Fighters. They're only marginally faster xp, but are completely unsustainable for most people's wrists.
  5. If he had simply continued at his old pace, he would have finished farming before thieving anyway. No, I think he's just finally lost interest in the game and is having a great time exploring some of the other things life has to offer.
  6. I've spent the last few days trying my luck at glacors, and had a few questions about maximizing my profit: 1. At what level is it worth using fire surge over fire wave? I'm 90 mage atm, and have access to extreme magics and overloads. Is it worth using overloads just to be able to switch to fire surge sooner, or should I stick with fire wave for a few more levels? 2. How much of a help is a celestial surgebox? I'm currently using an illuminated unholy book. Is it worth doing the extra dung to get the surgebox? I plan on being at glacors until 99 mage. 3. Once I get 92 prayer and soul split, and hence don't need my uni anymore, which combat familiar would be best? I expect to have access to everything up to Wolpertingers by then. Thanks!
  7. Forget the hunter, I want to know how he got 1.3M farming xp today.
  8. The way things have been going for the past month, there's a very good chance SUOMI will open up a 1B+ lead and reach 5B before anyone else even reaches 4B.
  9. And that is where the word AVERAGE comes into play Ok so if it was average that means he has counted every single donation he has received and divided that by the number of donations he has been given. I don't think the bill he has received would then average out to 10m per day. What he means is.. recently he has been getting about 10m per day You do realize that it only takes 3 months to average 1 bil out to 10M a day, right?
  10. Jake is currently about 1250 hours ahead of Elvis, and needs 10B. At 5M/hour income (which I think is about the highest sustainable income not involving merching, etc., though I don't play anymore, so please correct me if I'm wrong), Jake would fall behind Elvis making the cash to use the indicated methods. However, with limited income, the methods used in the calculator are not all most efficient anymore, so his actual time required will be less than the sum of the time calc hours plus the time to earn the time calc money. Long story short, if we assume that Jake has money issues, it's very difficult to say whether or not he can retain any of his current time lead.
  11. Thanks, Gemeos, that's very helpful.
  12. Gemeos, for sake of reference, can you also include in your time calc posts a theoretical player with all skills just barely 99? It would help put things into perspective by allowing us to approximate what percent of the way each of these players is to all 200M.
  13. Nobody is debating that. It's the methods he used to get there. I honestly doubt he would have been ahead of Elias, Elvis and maybe JD if he hadn't received donations. According to the last time calc update, SUOMI is more than 7000 hours ahead of all those players. Even if he spent 4000 hours bossing to make the 20B or so all 200M costs, he'd still be hugely ahead of them. Come back when any of those three are even halfway to 200M fishing, mining, or agility. kthxbai.
  14. SUOMI seems to have significantly picked up his farming pace in recent weeks, which means he should be able to reach 200M farming before maxing all other skills. He's gained 8.7M farming xp in the last 19 days, which works out to an average of 460k xp/day. As he currently needs 37.5M more farming xp, at this rate it'll take him about 78 more days, making November 21 the projected date of 200M farming. If he keeps playing at the same rate, he'll max his last skill in early December, ever so slightly after farming. So the good news is two-fold: SUOMI should not need to worry about being stuck with only farming left, and he's likely to reach 200M in all skills before the scheduled end of the world.
  15. Here are some interesting things found by analyzing some of the time calc data: On May 27, SUOMI was 2902 hours away. On July 22, he needed 2125 hours. That means that in 8 weeks, he reduced his time by 777 hours, or about 97 hours a week. At this rate, he'll get 200M in all skills in just under 22 weeks, on December 29, 2012. But... at his recent rate of 1.65M farming xp/week (~7.5M xp/month), in 22 weeks, he'll still be about 15M farming xp short. If he keeps up his current rate of gaining xp in other skills, SUOMI needs at least 2.25M farming xp/week to not be waiting around to get that last bit of xp. I don't know what the most efficient method of adding farming xp would be, but adding some daily torstol runs would have to be better than needing to do a ton of livid farm after finishing everything else.
  16. RIP LEGEND Such a great shame. I was sure he would pass SUOMI and be the first to all 200Ms. He will be remembered, especially for his greatest accomplishment, being the very first person to 200M cooking, except for at least 451 others. He also achieved 13M in all skills, and came so tantalizingly close to reaching at least 50M in two skills. Alas, not quite. He will be missed.
  17. While surprising, it's not all that unusual. Other players have outpaced SUOMI in head to head skilling before. Dark Lust comes to mind last year, when SUOMI was doing a ton of fast buyables. Someone pacing him, or even outpacing him, for a week is perfectly normal. It's his consistency over months at a time is what really separates him from everyone else.
  18. Depending on when exactly the release is, it may or may not delay SUOMI from getting 200M in all skills. At his current pace, he's looking likely to get 200M all skills around March next year. If the new skill is released before then, it'll take longer, obviously. But somehow, knowing Jagex, I don't think it'll come out that soon.
  19. SUOMI can pull a 15M week - that doesn't mean a 60M month is reasonable for Drumgun. Over the last month, Drumgun has been averaging a bit under 10M a week. If he keeps up this pace, he's more like three months away. Hard to say if that'll be quick enough for front page, given how many other people started training rc as soon as runespan was released.
  20. What's he doing bxp? I don't think it will really matter what he does. As no matter what he decides to train the same amount of time will be saved. And looking at what he has left, I don't think cash will really be a problem. It's possible he'd be best off doing a farm run, sleep, another farm run & grind Livid for a while. Farming is still quite a long way from 200m, about 60m xp @ 7m xp/month (that's last month, no effigies there afaik). Let's see. That's about 8.5 more months until 200M farming. The last time calc I saw had him at about 2900 hours to go. He will finish both simultaneously if he plays 2900 hours in the next 8.5 months, which is to say, about 11.5 hours a day/80 hours a week. If he plays more than 80 hours a week, he'll still have some farming to go when he finishes everything else, while if he plays less than 80 hours a week, he will finish farming first. To me, it seems logical not to do livid farm during bxpw. If he plays less than the critical amount, it's just xp wasting, while if he plays more, he's not saving any time, really, because he could have trained something else instead. Since nobody can predict the future, and since I think I saw that SUOMI played 70 hours last week, which is below the critical value, there's no reason to fret over farming.

  22. They can max then lose members. Right. And thus would no longer be p2p maxed accounts, just maxed accounts.
  23. There are more than that, it doesn't count f2p. Since when can f2p accounts be called p2p maxed accounts?
