  1. S U O M I, what made you decide to craft now after all? I thought you said it was too expensive. The good news is that if you keep this up, I think you can get a first page spot on the high scores. There are still three open spots and nobody ahead of you is making a big push for them.
  2. If only someone had pointed out that problem in the calculator a month or two ago. Oh wait...
  3. Congrats on 200M slayer! This marks the start of your reign as king of 200Ms, as you're tied with Tezz at 13. (Only 12 to go!)
  4. Now that's an idea. 4B total by the end of the year may not be happening, but I think if S U O M I pushes hard, he can be the first player to ever gain 2B xp within 365 days. He's not that far off now, and with solid crafting + fm, I think he could do it.
  5. Realistically, we're looking at about 50M xp per week max with crafting and fm. If he really wants 4B by 2012, he's going to have to do something faster anyway. (Except there's nothing faster left for him.)
  6. I suggested this earlier, but I don't know if you saw it. Why don't you stop at about 160M crafting, so you can get fast xp now but not end up wasting any when you go back to crawlers? (And same with fm, if you decide to do that now too.)
  7. Don't give his competitors any ideas.
  8. Congrats on getting the largest ever lead on #2, S U O M I! You're crawlering at a really incredible rate.
  9. S U O M I currently at a 350M lead on Tezz. One more strong day could be enough to give S U O M I the biggest ever lead on #2, especially if Tezz takes another day off.
  10. You're requiring too many effigies. Look at your runecrafting row: you're giving S U O M I 225M rc xp. And you're also applying the investigation bonuses to the wrong skills. Why would someone with maxed agility use effigies on agility instead of crafting?
  11. Here's an idea for S U O M I: Do crafting and firemaking next, but not all the way to 200M. You said you want to try and hit 4B xp by 2012, but there's no reason that has to mean XP waste. You need 161M RC xp, which is about 2700 effigies. You can expect 11.25k craft/fm xp per effigy, for a total of about 30M craft and fm xp from crawlers. So just leave yourself 30M xp in each of them now and only get to 170M before going to crawlers. You'll achieve your main goal, getting a lot of xp by the end of the year, without wasting any future xp.

    Jad

I'm simply looking to kill him in as few efforts as possible. I tend to be bad at switching prayers, so I'm thinking if I can rush him and kill him quickly, it might be easier. But really I'm just looking for the way that's most likely to succeed. Are you saying ranging is more likely to worth than rushing?

    Jad

I'm looking to kill Jad and reclaim my fire cape. It took me a lot of tries the first time and I'm not looking to repeat that, so I'm thinking about trying to just rush him. I have maxed melees (except only 98 def), overloads, rapier, and vengeance (when overloaded), but no turmoil. My ranged is only 85, though I hit quite well on him with that anyway. Would it be a good idea to try rushing him, or should I just keep trying with ranged?
  14. I'm looking to get as many charms as possible in the 40 minute window it gives me each week. Money is not important, but keep in mind that travel time will cut into my charms (so rock lobs might not be as good as they normally are). I've been using it on waterfiend tasks, but something tells me there has to be a better way. Stats are in my sig.
  15. Dragonseance is quite literally in his last hours as rank 7 in slayer.
  16. Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to end up getting rapier first and use it at TDs and not camp fiends. I'll chin nechs and burst rock lobs for charms instead. Here's another related question: which of the relatively inexpensive rewards (ie, less than 50k tokens) are worth getting? I'm thinking scrolls of cleansing, efficiency, and life, along with an arcane stream. Is there anything I'm missing or any of those I shouldn't bother with?
  17. I'm starting to close in on 80 dung and wondering what my first chaotic weapon should be. I do not intend to do any more slayer and will be using it primarily to boss hunt. I imagine I will be hunting primarily TDs until I can earn enough cash to meet requirements for pro-teams for other bosses. If there are other methods of making money that would suit me better that might influence this choice, I would appreciate hearing that too. I know that a chaotic maul is regarded as better than a rapier for TDs, and I also may use it to camp waterfiends to max defense, but are these enough to compensate for the loss of rapier's all around usefulness?
  18. I'm not entirely opposed to other methods of getting charms and dropping waterfiends altogether, especially since it appears that there really isn't any better weapon in my immediate reach (maul would be nice, but I want to raise summoning a bit before powering dung). I'm also looking to raise mage and ranged, and am willing to spend some cash on them. Between cannoning black demons, chinning nechs, and ice bursting rock lobs, which should I be looking at? I'd appreciate some rough estimates of charms per hour and cost per charm/cost per hour, if there's no one that's clearly better than the others.
  19. I'm looking to get some charms at waterfiends and was wondering what the best weapon to use there given that I have maxed attack and strength and only want defense xp. I do not have access to a chaotic maul, but do have a fair cash pile, if need be. I feel like there has to be something better than Verac's flail.
  20. Thanks for the responses so far. I will definitely look more into chinning nechs. Are avianses worth considering at all?
  21. I'm looking to train my ranged from 84 to 90, in a way that's relatively fast, but also not losing a lot of money (so no chins or cannon). I have full void, as well as extreme ranged pots.
