  1. Nice guide you've got there. :) I was planning on doing more upper-body work after track season is over, and I'll definitely have to keep all those things in mind when I do.
  2. What right do you have to call me judgemental? Do you know me? How dare you... I hate you so much. J/k, I couldn't let one of your posts get by flame-free. ;) I hardly ever post in OT anymore, which I blame on my lack of interest in posting instead of lack of interesting topics. After being on this and several other forums, I've seen most of the good topics already. It's usually interesting to see a new generation of posters deal with the same-old topics, but even that gets old after a while.
  3. Awesome collection, man. I recognize alot of them from back when I used to read all the Media Board posts. :)
  4. Though I'm ashamed to say it, I actually based this off a tuturial. However, I did do some touch-up brushing myself. I'll probally end up using this sig later, but I don't really like the text. Any advice on the text or the sig itself would be greatly appreciated. C/C and rates welcome.
  5. Cool it before this topic gets locked, guys. @ NACHO: It's a good start, but it needs some work. First of all, I think you should resize it down to about 300*100. It might work better if you smash the render down some. Secondly, the text needs works. As someone else said earlier, experiment with different fonts and blending modes until you get something that looks good. Finally, try re-colorizing it. I'm sure you could find a better color than that green.
  6. Here's my piece. I'm not extremely fond of it, so I might re-submit it when I have more time, if that's alright with you.
  7. What the heck, slap my name in spot 42. I'll work on it tonight. :P
  8. The water looks pretty good for Terragen, except for the white spots that Terragen likes to put in there. As for the surface texture, the yellow looks bad, and you need something more verdant, lifely -- something that fits the richness of the water. The cliff on the left seems to drop off unnaturally. The sky really isn't that bad for Terragen though. Overall, it's not bad work, and with some improvement, it could look really nice.
  9. GSW, I think you're taking this a little too far. It's his first sig made in DAZ Studio. It doesn't have to be great, iand t's not supposed to be highly original. So what if he used presets? So what if it's easy to use? He's just posting what he made, hoping that people will tell him how to improve and make his future works more original. There's no reason to be so critical of him, and I think you should lay off.
  10. Sig 1. Sig 2 has too many color, and those colors don't blend well.
  11. I decided to put a new touch on an old render, and I liked the result. It was intended to be like some of Nadril's abstracts, and I hope y'all like it. C/C appreciated. //Astra
  12. Thanks for the comments. I'm afraid my computer messed up before I could save as a psd, so I can't go back and edit anything. :( I see what you mean about the lightning and the waves, though. I might just get the original render back and try again.
  13. http://www.deviantart.com/view/12374880/ Comments/Criticism on here or on deviantart are appreciated. This was definitely fun to make. The original Bryce render was intended to be a desert, which ended up looking like an ocean. So I ended up recolorizing and changing up several parts, then sent the render over to PS, did some brushing, and voila. I hope you like it. :P //Astra
  14. Nice man, I like it. The detail on it is very nice. :) That wouldn't happen to be the Memphis Pyramid, would it? In my opinion, the colors and text could be improved some, but, overall, I like it. :P
  15. It looks great, man. It's so clean, so simple, yet so elegant. I'll second whomever asked you to post the original; I'd love to see it. Very nice piece, Peter. :P And to entangle and lowgravity - Just shut your mouths (or rather, keep your fingers away from the keyboard). Just because you're arrogant or don't like his style is no reason to be flaming.
  16. Here's my shot at the beach sig. Hope you like it. :P
  17. The texture seems too simple, and the bright green grass doesn't fit. You might also want to fix the bottom right corner of the sky. However, I really like the water and the sky. Very nice looking piece over all. Good job. :)
  18. Thanks, man. :P I'm actually going to go with the blue, as it has more depth to it. I also repositioned the text, so hopefully it looks a little better now. :)
  19. I was planning on doing that after I got a little C/C. :P Anyway, I did a crappy job of saving it, so the version I'm about to set as my sig is slightly different. Meh, who really cares? :P
  20. Ok, I've updated the original post with the updated sigs. Any comments/criticism is welcome.
  21. Updated text: Red Version: Render done in Bryce, all else done in PS. I know the title has nothing to do with the sig, and I don't care. :P Any C/C appreciated. :P
  22. Great concept and quote. ;)
  23. I would have voted for Nadril, but I'll go with Freeman for second. It looks alot better than Qazer's does, in my opinion.
  24. Exactly what i was gonna say. Nice job on it though. Thanks. As far as my name goes, do you think I should change the text, blending style, or both?
  25. Nice job, man. I love that geometric/isomentric/whatever-it's-called stuff. :P By the way, that wouldn't happen to be the Memphis Pyramid, would it?
