Write in a way that comes naturally. Come up with a theme that you're interested in and develop it from there. Try to make characters that people can indentify with. Use good grammar. Vary your sentence structure. Those are a few good guidelines to follow when writing, but basically you have to come up with your own style. Write as much as possible and try to improve your writing methods. The only thing that will truly make you a good writer is experience.

  6. I would love Beauty and the Beast, but I don't play RS anymore. :( Hopefully someone 'deserving' will receive that sig (and pay you alot for it too ;)). Good luck! :P

  8. In my opinion, it just looks messy. There's too much going on, it lacks a focal point, and the text is hard to read. On a more positive note, I like the colors, and the lighting isn't too bad.

  10. I like the concept and the colors, but with the blue and green, it looks better to let them blend together (like in the first version). If you want to divide them like that, try using more contrasting colors. While I like the concept of Nature versus Technology, the nature side looks almost as high-tech as the high-tech side. Despite those things, it's an awesome looking sig. The renders rock, and the brushing ain't bad either. :) //Astra
  11. Nice to see some more work from you. ;) You've improved, but you have got to start working on your textures more. I noticed that you did that on a couple, but the texture can make or break the terrain. Try experimenting with some different atmosphere settings too. And one last thing- don't make the land break off into water so abrubtly. It looks unnatural. There's a couple of those that I really like; keep up the good work. Just put the advice of others into practice, and you'll continue to improve. :) //Astra
  12. No! They got another one! :( j/k Nice shading, but the arm still looks too thin. The shield also looks a little odd. The head should be a little taller and thinner. I'm sure the finished version will look good. Keep it up. (or go back to real art )
  13. More like this, perhaps?
  14. Naked text. *chuckles* How about this? Better or worse?
  15. I think a glowing orb might look out of place, perhaps its because the lower ring seems to work as a focal point. Well It seems that way to me :| Anytime, your newest batch of sigs are really something. Pfft.. Replace Exodizzle with The Radiant Heart and it would be perfect  Ah, but Exodizzle fits so perfectly. (I'll be sure to include TRH when I update my sig.) :D

Very nice sigs. You do a great job of making them simple, and yet they still look great. Never would have thought that a couple of Bryce objects could look that good. Nice work, man. :D
  17. A glowing orb? I don't think I could add that without messing up the whole thing. I'm not even sure where I could put it. I'm open to any suggestions on how to do it though. :? As for having a focal point in general, I like sigs that you can just keep looking at and 'exploring.' :P Thanks for the compliment, Not. ;)
  18. I tried fading the lines a little more, what do you think? Keep the comments coming, please. ~Astra
  19. I'm planning on using this soon, but I'd like some advice on it first. What do you think about the grid lines on the left side? They seem somewhat out of place to me, but without them it looks too empty. What else can I improve? ~Astra
  20. Once again, thanks for the advice. I fixed up the small font and did something with the background. How's it look now?
  21. Thanks for the comments. Thanks. Any advice on what I could add? I don't really want to change the render, so maybe some linework? And yes, it was made in Bryce.
  22. Not bad; I like the lighting. However, I do have a few pointers. - Reduce the reflection on the water. It's a little much. - The snow texture could use some work, so add some more detail. I'll PM you on how to do that. - Get rid of the steep drop off into the water. Remember that the shore should be smoother because of erosion. I'll also be glad to help you with the text if you'd like. On a different note, I'd have to say that I'm quite pleased (and equally worried) to see so many "First Terragen Sig" threads and less pixel. It's a good thing that people are taking interest in something else finally, but I'm worried that we'll have a bunh of people filling the boards with crapy landscapes instead of crapy pixels. That wasn't aimed at anyone, I'm just worried that it could happen. However, I'd still be very grateful to see the pixel trend end. Anyways, I'm just rambling now. Time to write that PM. ~Astra
  23. How many times do i have to say theres no such things as sins, Churches are telling you what do do with your life, such as not sin. You cant do things, becuase "sins" are holding you back. They contorl part of your life You seem to understand that quite well, from what you just said. Sin does hold you back, it keeps you from experiencing the wonderful joy that God gives. That's why He went through so much suffering to free you from your sin. He took the penalty for your sin so that you don't have to. You mentioned earlier that the church keeps you slave by saying not to sin. No one is forcing me to abide by the rules in the Bible, I obey them out my my thankfulness to GOd. I constantly fall short of His standard- I'm arrogant, I'm lustful, I'm hateful- but He loves me anyway, has fogiven me of my sins, and is making me more like Him each day. And He want to work the same way in all of your lives. According to the Bible, we were all slave to sin. However, Christians have been bought with Christ's blood, and are now "slaves to Christ," as the apostle Paul said. While the idea of belonging to Christ may be hurtful to our egos, we cannot truly become ourselves unless we deny ourselves and live for God's purpose.
