First grunge background rate plz :)
Bumping after 20 minutes? Have some patience, man. :) Hm... 7/10. Good, but a little bland. Try a different color scheme maybe? Plus, it's not really that 'grungy. Bleh, what do I know about abstracts? I'm just a plain old landscapist. :D

New signature shop: landscapes !UPDATES! EVERYTHING ON SALE!
Very nice landscape. :P 1 and 3 are very peaceful and beautiful. A little more advice on #2 though. Set the sun's corona down to 1 or 0. Also, tone down the reflectivity curve. That'll make it look more realistic. Overall, awesome job. You're a very talented Terragen-ist, and I can't wait to see more of you're work. :P

Do you believe in God?
In America and most of Europe, there isn't any physical hardsip from being a Christian. But try living as a Christian in High School, or College, or in a non-Christian work place. Peer pressure, temptation, and being rejected by others can be just as hard as to deal with as a threat on your life. Just so you know, Christian missionaries are still martyred for their beliefs in Africa, the Middle East (some countries), and even in China. People from my church have been martyred while on mission trips.

Do you believe in God?
I'm willing to bet there are an extremely larger number of Christians persecuted for their beliefs than atheists... some might say people like Galileo were persecuted for their atheistic beliefs but this is just not true... Galileo wanted the church to immediately endorse his views, and he publicly mocked the pope. Something anyone would be persecuted for... Christianity is certainly the harder life if you actually live it out. And the more logical if you take the time to study the evidence. How true, how true. In my opinion the hardest part of living a Christian life is dealing with temptation. The more you resist it, the stronger it becomes. To second what insane said, how many athiest have died for their beliefs? How many have been martyred, persecuted, rejected by friends and family? Following a religion, Christianity in particular, is infinitely harder than a life of giving into temptation and living for yourself. But in the end, it's more than worth it...

Wow. The hilt on the sword looks great, and I can't wait to see the finished axe. :P For those of you who want to see a darker background. (I took the liberty of changing the bg and flipping the pic. Hope you don't mind, Korla.)- rate my second sig made in paint
Ok, it needs alot of work. First of all, there's way too much going on. All those colors hurt my eyes. Reduce it to 2-4 colors. Next thing, fix the text color. It clashes with the background too much. A better font wouldn't hurt, either. Third, add a border. Finally, save it as something with a better resolution; it's a little blurry. After that, it should be a decent sig. By the way, Korla, what are you doing on the Media Board? Bored, I guess?- Rate my new simple avatar
BUMP. Any other opinions?- Free sigs
I just got photoshop, and I've been messing around with it some. I figured that there's no reason to let my 'experiments' go to waste. So instead, I'll be giving out free sigs as I make them. Please no requests for custom sigs. Sigs will be given out an a first-come, first-serve basis. Please give me credit somewhere in your sig. The first sig up for claim is this.- Rate my new simple avatar
I just got photoshop, and I've been messing around with some stuff and trying to figure it out. I tried making an avatar for myself, and I think it turned out OK. It's pretty simple (I just messed around with filters), but I think it looks cool. 1-10?- Finally got Photoshop! Need help!
Thanks for the help. Does anyone else have any advice or tutorials? Just like most people, I want to learn to make abstracts, then I want to figure out space scenes, but that'll take some work to get good enough for that. Here's an abstract piece I tried.- Finally got Photoshop! Need help!
Well, I just got Photoshop 7 today, which I'm really happy about. But the problem is that I hardly have any idea how to use it. So if anyone knows any good tutorials, please tell me about them. Right now I just need the basics, but feel free to post some more advanced stuff so that I'll have it already in the future. (I already searched and couldn't find what I was looking for.) Thanks in advance for your help. ~Astralinre- Do you believe in God?
Morals where inbred by parents who got them from parents. All the way up the heirachy of civilisation. Cavemen wouldnt give a rats wagon if you where in trouble. But civilisation and compassion have evoulved us into morally instinctive people. If morals came from god then why are their christian criminals? Did you happen to read my (actually C. S. Lewis's) argument about how morals are not simply the result of a herd instinct or something that has been developed over time? I didn't explain it as thoroughly(sp?) as I would have liked, but I'm very tired. I would recommend reading Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis, as it deals with that question and many similar ones. By the way, don't take for granted that just because you learn something from your parents, that it was simply made up by them and the generations before. You learned mathmatics from older people, but they would still exist if they hadn't taught you. Morals falls into the same class as math. You may have learned it from your parents, but they are there anyway.- Do you believe in God?
I am agnostic, but I have morals. What makes your morals more right than a Nazi's, for example? Some say that our morals are just our 'herd instinct' that has been developed by evolution. How can that be possible? Say you hear a man screaming for help. You have 2 different instincts that rise up in you. One is to ignore the man's cry for help and keep yourself safe. The other is that you should help the man. Now, the desire to keep yourself safe is obviously the stronger of the 2 instincts, but something inside of you is telling you that helping him is the 'right' thing to do. That thing which tells you which instinct is right cannot be one of the instincts itself, it must be some sort of 'standard' or 'rule' that is above that instinct. The sheet of paper which tells you which note to play on the piano is not one of the notes itself is it? No, it isn't. In the same way, the standard which tells us which instinct is correct cannot be an instinct itself. There is a set rule that governs out behaviour. Every human knows the standard by heart, yet we all choose to disobey it. (paraphrased from Mere Christianity) Insane, I think that is the reasoning you were going to get to eventually, I'll let you finish it off as I am very tired and am having my wisdom teeth out in the morning.- rate my avatar
My bad. Very nice job on the character; it looks like it's a screenshot. That looks very nice with Jlr's background. - 8/10 now- rate my avatar
Anyone notice that it's an RS character with some stuff added on? Don't claim "All drawn in paint" when that's not true. Even though you didn't make the person yourself, the overall look isn't bad. - 6/10- Is my sig the right size?
3 pixels to tall. Beside that, it's fine.- My 2nd Pixel ever!!!!
Awesome, man. - 10/10 :P- The abortion debate
There is no individual person inside of her. Yes, there is. As long as it's the egg or sperm inside the body, it is part of the parent. However, as soon as that egg and sperm combine inside the female, it is a new organism, with different DNA than it's parents, therefore, it is NOT the woman's body, it is ANOTHER body inside of her. (correct me if I'm wrong) It is her responsibilty to give that separate human every chance at life.- Not to us...

I like it. It's cool how your name blends in to it. - 8/10- The abortion debate
Great. Now you're twisting it around so the victim is the criminal, because she wasn't ready for a child and doesn't want to carry one you're going to make her have it anyway, are you any different from the rapist? Hey maybe it was her fault and she has to suffer the consequences? It was not her fault, it was the rapist's fault. But the fact is, whether she wanted it or not, she is pregnant. Just because the baby was forced on her does not mean she shouldn't give it the same chance as if it was a normal child. She should make the best out of something terrible that happened to her. - Some weapons (pixel)
