  1. all 99s hands down, no particular interest in 200m exp
  2. know if thats better exp/hr then plank make?
  3. High alch may be old school, but it's still an option at 65k an hour and gaining or losing gp depending on what you alch. I know for a fact once you hit 86 magic plank make with mahogany logs is absolutely fantastic and turns a profit to boot, but thats at a 86. I've heard string amulet is good, but I don't know anything about it.
  4. Alright, will give rapier a try then.
  5. I have finally gotten 95 magic and arcane stream necklace, starting glacors in order to fund 96 herblore / 88+ summoning. What way will make me more money, cost of spell vs. time saved. I am currently using pps for the glacytes, seems slow though. would it be benificial to my glacor income to get staff of armadyle and those expensive runes, or should I switch to rapier even though i am exceptionally bad at gear switching on top of the prayer switching, or should I simply stick to the pps? Stats in sig, have 22m total atm.
  6. your best bet would be to mage them. Once higher attack it'll be perfectly viable to hit them with a stabbing weapon, but as it is I would recommend maging with fire bolt with chaos gauntlets equipped. Setup with max mage attack gear anti-fire shield and bring some antifire potions, you won't take any damage, no prayer required as long as you stay out of the dragons melee range.
  7. why the hell are they not releasing perm banned account names? I've been hoping to get Jeit again since that account was banned six years ago -.-
  8. Since slayer is the only skill this matters on, its extremely rare for me to get crashed and I try to never crash anyone else. Especially since the bot nuke this hasn't been hard. When I do get crashed, if they far surpass my combat ability I hop, usually without a word, if we are even(ish) ill usually bullhead my way through competing the whole time and not really caring if I'm losing exp/hr. if much lower level I ask if they will hop, and if they don't, I make them want to.
  9. You rock Paul.
  10. I wish I had it still as I could use it as well, but I know there is a table floating around here somewhere that keeps updated with the ge and compares price of ingredients to price of potion they make and says loss per potion and gp loss per exp. Hopefully some kind soul will see this and be able to post it.
  11. I would jump onto a new rs server with everyone starting from level 3 in a heartbeat. I think that would be fantastically fun. As to the first article, I read about half of it, and the closing arguments and can sum my thoughts up very concisely: I do not agree. Language is not a problem with the option of turning the filter on and off, if you don't want to hear it, turn the filter on. No one does the million ways around the censor anymore since the people that swear have the filter off. I'm not going into each rule, however the feel I got from what I read was way to strict to ever actually be implemented, and if it was I would expect riots in fally again....where they would likely all get banned.
  12. I'm in the same boat as you, currently plank making my way to 95 magic for glacors. I plan on switching to livid farm at 91, but I've been making money doing mahogany logs with plank make and it's pretty fast exp compared to what you spend.
  13. Thanks for all the replies everyone. I think I will try out the rapier, however lots of switching gear sounds like a headache so will likely end up using pps assuming its not to much slower then rapier.
  14. ah, my bad, apparently didn't get this across in the opening post. I am training my magic to 95, once I get fire surge is when I will be actually killing glacors for any amount of time, before that will likely just be for curiosity / a break from plank make and livid farm. why is pps so bad against glacytes?
  15. Currently getting 76 crafting (75 atm) which is final roadblock stopping me from doing RotM. I am working on magic as well, trying to get it to 95, which will happen but will likely be killing with fire wave before getting the level. My question is should I use pps for glacytes or melee? I have turmoil, do not have overloads (actually the reason I want to kill these is to fund the way to overloads). I believe storm of armadyle to be out of the question since money will be the reason i'm there, and it is not a cheap spell by any means.
  16. I'll start with def and strength since they could potentially help fund the others. Since you already have 80 slayer, I imagine you already know this, but slayer is your friend. Most tasks give you some profit, nearly all of them can be melee'd(...sp?), and you usually get good charms, which even if not actively trying to get summoning up yet you will be eventually. If you want speed for those, armored zombies are fantastic, however I would recomend getting 70 prayer for piety before the armored zombies since they reside just below an altar, and constant prayer is always nice. For range, rune darts on tasks in kuradels dungeon gets surprisingly fast exp since the +40 damage applies to every throw. Of course you could use cannon, but its not exactly cheap. perhaps ranging blue dragons would get you some money to help with faster methods for prayer and magic. For magic, I would guess your best bet would simply be to high alch anything and everything that doesn't net a loss. Not much to say on prayer, find or use a gilded altar and use whichever bones or ashes you wish. I used infernal ashes when I got my prayer up to 95 because it was cheaper then d bones, but I do not know in todays market. I hope that helps, even if it is a block of text.
  17. I'll give FoG in f2p a try when I get to bored doing plank make to continue for a while. I plan on getting arcane stream before glacors, sooner rather then later doesn't particularly matter to me, I do not plan on getting tome of frost though. I tolerate dung when I have to, for example when I got my rapier and when ill be getting the necklace.....and likely scroll of life eventually, but that's likely it until I'm trying for max cape.
  18. Would you consider it worth doing without the battle robes? I have absolutely no interest in FoG, and am pretty terrible at it to boot.
  19. My immediate thought is "I wish I could afford that" but perhaps I'm wrong, about how much would that cost per hour as well as an average exp per hour I could expect? Also do I need a second person to get to the rock lobsters?
  20. I'll look into plank make, sounds great how you say it ^^ I've killed my fair share of abyssal demons, and they do provide pretty decent money, dragons seem to be more though. Also, before anyone can say slay to train mage, no thank you. Have been slaying with melee since 50 combat, just want to get the magic quickly.
  21. So I wish to get 95 magic to kill glacors, as it sounds like the best source of money I will realistically achieve in any decent amount of time. Until that point though, I am unfortunately broke. My question is if alching is the best option for me to get 95 magic, or if there is some other spell that would get it faster, while still not costing me a fortune. I value my time at roughly 700k an hour killing dragons, though honestly dead sick of doing that as well, thus why I'im trying to get to glacors.
  22. Southeast one 99% of the time. Usually enter GE from a RoW tele and don't like the crowds/gambling in southwest corner, so go to the southeast one.
  23. Never been to corporeal beast, will attend if I'm able to. don't have 85+ herby though, still able to come...?
  24. excellent! time to go kill some armored zombies then
  25. damn, oh well, thanks!
