Sweet, looks like some pretty decent replies. So, i need about 6 levels off Gold/green charms (im guessing thats quite alot of charms :o) then i can fire away with the crims. As for farm, im'a do a load of quests, find a decent farm guide and set my MTK to herbs and the like. Thanks alot peoples. New question too peoples; What is the cost and most effective way to get 89 herblore? I know alot of people say 'highest pot possible' but that presents little use to me as i've no idea what to make. A brief run down and last cost figure would be nice Thanks

RFD is very much worth doing. Its a pretty epic quest too. I did it at like 79 combat i think (maybe lower) and haven't done a single quest since, so maybe its put me off questing haha, but otherwise its very worth it.

I personally wouldn't do this - just use max prayer bonuses and chivarly/prot melee. To tank and use Chiv would not safe p points

Thanks for the replies. I've played RS for about 6 years, and over many accounts, NEVER trained farming once. I think on this account its level 7 (RFD Reward i think)? But, its mostly down to lack of play time/arrogance which has stopped me - i might look into doing it though. Im gonna go on a quest binge over the next few days, see what rewards i can get - use em all on herb or farm i guess. Its a shame slayer is such a buzz kill now, i was really getting into it before i stopped playing for barely a few months - come back, boom... Thanks for the ongoing replies ill have a think

Ah okay, lovely. What do i save my blues for? I have about 150 at the moment and i was considering factoring them into my push for 79. If this isn't productive then i'll just keep getting the other types.

Howdy All, After returning to RS last week i've decided to take a route of slayer, herb and sum training. However, as prices are totally bombed and i've no idea whats happened in the last year, Im a little stuffed. So, im currently sitting on nothing but basic slayer gear and and a few hundred K i intend to use for pots etc. My questions; Herb - Im 27 herb (disgusting i know), so if i wanted to get, say 70-75 and beyond what are my options and how much is it gonna cost me? Not so much looking for speed as opposed to cost, so i dont mind if it takes longer for less. Slayer - Im currently 77 slayer and finally unlocking monsters that once upon a time gave valuable loot, hower, having snagged three g mauls last night only to see their combined worth at less than 100k... Doesn't look so peachy. Im wondering what my priortities should be - e.g, should i quest to unlock cave horrors and warped beasties etc. etc., or should i just keep slaying whatever Kuradel suggests. Summon - Im 68 Summon, i pick up all my charms pretty much, sometimes ignoring golds if theres only a few. Im slowly collecting, think i have 73 banked currently. What are my best options for what to make? Looking to level 79 summon and beyond so i can use Titans. Im pretty much looking for any help within the three categories. Any quests, items, updates i've missed that benefit me let me know and ill crack on. Thanks alot

Use CC Fast Effigy for loads of assist. Or, go to world 117 Dung and step outside. I got 7 unlocked to kin lamps in about an hour.

Presumably you're using Kuradels dung... If this is the case, not you CANNOT take a familar into the waterfall loaded with items. Im 87 attack 92 str, currently doing the same task - The only difference i use is a Leaf-bladed sword - it is MUCH better than whip as they're weak to stab. You'll only need 3 Anti fire pots, no food and if you insist on using a BoB take a tort or bird and summon if you dont have invent space for their drops. Pointless alching their drops, just keep and sell on GE.

Well, provided the RSN in your profile is accurate, you're 60 attack. The best weapon for 60 attack, i believe, is the dragon 2h - i may be wrong.

If you already have a main, theres no real need. Also, will this be for pking purposes? Or enjoyment of the game? From my experience. 90% of f2p pking involves no armour - so if thats still the case, theres no need for defence.

Before any of that i'd really recommend spending the time to get 68 sum for a bunyip - it'll massively improve your ability to stay there for long periods of time. As for set up, i've not played for many months, but when 73-80 range I used Torags Legs, Zammy Helm, black d hide top, C'bow with broads, Accumulator, Granite shield and Snakeskin boots. TBH, it is a little over-kill on defence and as you're 81, which is pretty decent, using brews/restores to boost prayer, you could easily do it in d hide top/bottom, zammy book (or granite if you dont have) and a torags helm. with s/skin boots. I'd recommend using range prayer boost - at the time they were pretty cheap to use and Adamant bars were expensive

Thanks for the posts guys, food for thought. It seems Runescape has developed pretty rapidly, and members does appear the only enjoyable method of playing. I might stick a month on and see where it leads. Making money seems easier than ever now, i guess the silver spoon never left the babies mouth while i was away.

Hello Tifer's, I've been away for the best part of a few years, returning here and there and checking the RS Site out for any major changes ... Anyway, im strongly considering making a comeback into the game. Unfortunately however, I was hacked by a Macro a few months ago, decided to sell everything it could and leave me with a tidy sum of 3m in pure ess - fun. So, my question is - Is it really worth returning? I was RS mad for years, made loads of accounts, won/lost everything and then rage quit. Im looking for something to do casually, maybe slayer, maybe get some items from Minigames, join a casual clan. - Just something to pad the days out really. Im about to become a father soon so time will be pretty limited, my sons due over Xmas and I have a full time job as a catering manager, but seeing how much RS has changed and missing the action, i am considering returning for a few months. So, im asking where do i start? If i even bother starting again? Feed me some ideas, coupla' links to some decent guides to get me back up and running. The account ill be using wont be anything special, Its 70 def/prayer (It was the lowest level piety acc and Bgloves for a while) so I dont need advice so much on what to kill or who to kill, just some ideas - any clans that are pretty fun, any old timers that remember me from my old acc Gin_And_Tonic?
