The way he said "to a particular area on the screen" it sounds like he means regardless of where your mouse is it will move to the same coordinate. I guess ahk would be advanced enough to do that. Unfortunately, not what he means:

They don't, and also, you can e-mail Jagex asking to lift the limit on your spin purchases, allowing you to spend whatever you'd like. I think Blue said he does around 60% bonds, 40% irl for his spins, but can't remember, will have to double check the HLF thread he posted on regarding it.

Just figured I'd put this out there... Jagex has NEVER banned people with max cash from staking outside of them bug abusing, or using mules to hold their wealth. I have been a staker for a very long time, and I know alot of the rich stakers who got banned, they got banned for legitimate reasons, not just because they gained max cash. Also, complaining, while annoying as it may be, is the only way that change COULD happen in the game. People complained about prestige. What happened? Jagex made a poll and stopped the release based on complaints. This is not even near the only time this has happened. Jagex may be off base with alot of content, but they DO (however occasionally) listen to people's complaints.
-
They don't need 75% if the executives push it Could also introduce it into RS3 that can have an effect on 07. Say a new option on bonds that add x amount of cash on 07. Very unrealistic to happen that way of course, but plenty of loopholes they can use to avoid the 75% approval.

Nobody here is expecting to have the best things handed to them. They just want the amount of effort it takes to make sense. That's the main thing here. This sort of thing is akin to telling someone to do a job, waiting for someone to finish working, and then telling them that none of it counts because they didn't do some other job instead. Except that it is realistic to get a few bil entirely without flipping, merchanting, or getting lucky. If your income is 4m gp/hour, it's 250 hours to get 1b. That's the same as 99 divination. Not to mention that when Whips were released, discounting the 50m pricetag for the first day or so that someone hit 85 slayer, the whips settled for around 25m per for a while. Income / hour wasn't even NEAR what it is today, I can't even think of any method back then that made 500k / hr, though it was a very long time ago. Yes, the effort is more now, but lets not just pretend that the best items were easily accessible by everyone back then, because they weren't. To put it in perspective, if it was 500k / hr then, and 4m / hr now (think frosts are around that when you are efficient), it took 50 hours to obtain a whip when it was the best in the game. That same 50 hours now gives you 200m, which coincidentally, is enough to buy any set of drygores with money left over, the current BiS melee weapon as well. Sure, Ascensions are more, and Seismic has underlying issues that desperately need to be addressed, but in the same time it takes to get a whip back in the day, you can buy any set of T90 armour now, prob close to the 2 most expensive sets (haven't checked prices lately).

This is just ridiculous. I think 500 mil is probably more than my lifetime earning in like 8 years of playing. (excluding the 300mil I bought off Jagex with 50 gloves of samid) Please go camp frost dragons every day for 4-5 hours for months to earn a level 90 armor that turns to dust in a couple of hours and isn't much better than level 80 or even 70. I don't play that game. Casuals don't play that game. My point is that there's a tradeoff. The reason why you've never had more than 500m is because you've never tried to earn more than that. If you put time into making money, like you're supposed to, you'd have a lot more money. It's that simple. It's a game, not a factory. Simply because a small minority of players have nothing better to do with their game time and real life time than to sit at the GE all day pulling accounting trips or exploiting other people (price manipulation), or camping Frost Dragons for hours everyday for months, does not mean we should all be forced to play on that ridiculous standard. It's that simple. You aren't being forced to play on that "ridiculous" standard. If you don't want to invest the time and effort to afford expensive gear, then you don't get the gear. It's that simple. You get rewarded (yes, in games as much as real life) for the effort you put forth. There isn't a game on this planet I can think of that hands you top of the line items for little to no effort. If that were to happen, there would be nothing to aspire for, thus making the game boring and useless.

Honestly, I'd love that, especially as one who likes to DIY alot of things, would be nice to be able to set a goal to DIY a set of high tiered gear. Atm you can only get this gear while teaming with multiple people. This is kind of why I liked the mechanic of the Ascension Crossbows, but a skilling alternative would be nice too, just unsure how they could introduce it outside of a ports-like mechanic.

Can I just point out that Runescape's "best gear in the entire game" is still tier 90? I wouldn't have any issue with it if it was higher tier (Other than the whole "getting ahead of themselves" thing), but when they've balanced level 90 armor to be earned by a team of maxed players, you have to ask yourself if they're leaving themselves with any room to grow, especially when a big part of MMOs is that when the "best" gear is dethroned it becomes good gear for people that can't afford the best (either the price or the time investment). It's basically power creep on steroids. It's the same issue as rune being at 99 smithing, where you get into the silly situation of stronger armor being easier to make from scratch. Have we reached the point where it takes longer to get chaotics from scratch than it does drygores? Of course, one of the other issues is that it's basically a matter of where you put your time. Take two players; one who's spent 500 hours (random numbers yaay) making money, the other who's spent 500 hours working on skills. Guess who's going to come out ahead in pretty much every possible area? You're playing the game your own way and it works, then one day you look up and suddenly realize that all of your effort was wasted and you can't really catch up. And this is why I firmly believe the best items should be obtained through a solo-only skills-based minigame (like Ports) that uses 99 skills requirements. Reward all the players who worked for their skills and actually PLAYED THE GAME, instead of the ones who simply got lucky or spent months flipping items. Can't say I'd be opposed to that, as long as it takes considerable effort to obtain these items. Ports was a great start, though outside of time, it didn't require an awful lot of effort in the grand scheme of things.

You're playing the game your own way and it works, then one day you look up and suddenly realize that all of your effort was wasted and you can't really catch up. I do agree with that point, yes. Luckily, (as long overdue as it is) rune smithing will be adjusted down to level 50 and be more consistent with the gear currently in game during the smithing tiers. I do think though even if they introduced a T99 armour, they could still have room to grow on that. They could give them different abilities, making them a bit more useful than previous T99 counterparts, at a higher cost or effort to obtain, or even could have more damage bonuses / armour values / LP boosts than their other T99 counterparts. Levels aren't the only thing that gives opportunity for growth, it just depends where Jagex will want it to go once it reaches that inevitable point. However, I do believe it will be a LONG time before these T90 sets will be outclassed. On the part of where you put your time however, there will always be someone who will come out on top when comparing 2 players. It's like saying if you have someone spending 500 hours skilling via buying stuff from the GE and someone spending 500 hours DIY'ing the same skills, obviously you would have someone who came out on top. It's up to the players to spend their time wisely based on the goals they wish to achieve. Ie - If someone has a goal to max their skills, they should spend their time doing that, whereas someone who wants to own the newest uber-gear should be spending their time making money to afford it.

The quality of life updates mentioned was stuff like making run energy faster to regenerate, adding a bank search option, deposit all button, small tweaks that made general gameplay better / easier to use without changing the core game or adding any new actual content to be played. They wanted to keep the game as it was back in 07 in terms of content, which has already been drastically changed. Sure the players voted on it, but the main point is that they stated outright that this would not happen, which it now has, leaving me with little trust in what could come in the future. The white dragonhide is to balance I'm sure, but it still goes off the point that it was going to remain like it was back in 07. That was the whole point of releasing it, because people hated the changes being made to the current game (EoC, Microtransactions, etc), yet it's just becoming another separate game that is being updated and could end up turning into another RS3 when they decide to change other core parts of the game. People knew what OSRS had when they were voting on it. The general consensus was that the players wanted it, as it was, without change. They knew that it didn't have much for bossing / end-game goals from the very beginning. The only exception would be God Wars, but I did notice that subject was a bit iffy for some people.

Ugh, another "Fallen Protectors" mechanic. I can't get away from it on either game xD

I don't play that game. Casuals don't play that game. I agree with Mere, although there are slightly more interesting options that Frost Dragons, lol How I see it is simple; if you want the best PVM gear then you have to do some actual PVM! I find it silly that these so called pvm'ers want the highest level gear when they aren't doing the highest level activities, It's not necessary and you'd be ruining it for a lot of us if Jagex were to change drop rates, prices or whatever you think would be the best way to 'fix' this problem. I think the way the T90 weapons & gear are now is just fine - although I do think Serenic could of been done a bit better. Casual players get casual gear >> Check out Bandos & Robes of Subjugation, maybe even Nex sets now the price of Torva is plummeting. I have to firmly agree with that stance. I'd have a hard time finding ANY game that rewards players with the most elite gear in their game without putting an insurmountable effort to obtain. Look at WoW for instance, they don't just hand people Heroic Warforged gear to "casual" players just because "it shouldn't be that hard to obtain". It's the best gear in the entire game, it SHOULD be that hard to obtain. You have casual players who can get LFR gear, and now even Flex gear, but don't take away the best gear in the game from people who dedicate themselves and deserve it, just because you want it and don't want to spend the time to earn it. I understand that the degrade to dust system is quite foolish however, but don't think the problem would go away had it not been. If it wasn't degrade to dust, it would be far more expensive than it is now, because the demand would skyrocket for it. Also don't forget that players drive the prices for most of these things too. I understand rarity has a large part to do with it, and maybe some tweaks are needed to the rates, but the prices wouldn't be this high if there weren't people who are willing to pay those prices. If someone went to Vorago and got a Seismic Wand drop, do you not think they'd sell it regardless what the price was? They wouldn't just hold onto it because it didn't sell at 2 billion, they'd sell it for 500m or even less if that was the only price people were willing to pay.

As soon as Jagex realizes that people who play 07 are much more open to RWT than RS players are, microtransactions will flood 07. RS3 players are the ones that are open to RWT and microtransactions (otherwise wouldn't play it). Also, you can't forget 75% aproval requirement. Well I mean Pkers and stakers are the people with the highest propensity to trade real-life money for in-game benefits, and they all play 07. I don't think they'd run a poll for it. Obviously it wouldn't pass, but people would still buy stuff. They'd make a killing selling whips, etc. for like $5 each Glad we both agree it wouldn't pass... so perhaps the next step is when we both agree that you aren't being coherent. It's kinda sad that at this point, Jagex has people like Gemeos so afraid like this... It's almost like they are so afraid that they forgot who actually runs the company that is hosting 07. You know, the same company that said that game wouldn't be getting any new content, and only adding general "quality of life" updates so to not have the game change from what it was back then. Also the Jagex who said that they wouldn't be adding stuff like God Wars because it would require them to have to completely re-code it which would take a very long time to implement. But at least they keep their word that they won't add new content. However, I wouldn't be shocked if one day you do happen to see stuff like Dungeoneering, white dragonhide, new minigames to offer resources to players and such. Honestly, if you really have some faith that Jagex won't introduce stuff like microtransactions to 07, you clearly haven't been paying enough attention to Jagex over the past 3-4 years. Sure, it may not ever happen (hopefully), but to act like the idea itself is laughable and that people are idiots for even thinking otherwise, ignorance is the only word I can really come up with for that.

The six-hour logout is immensely irritating, especially since it apparently counts time spent in-lobby. Most of my time spent in lobby is AFK, so STOP ****ING COUNTING IT! Or, better yet, don't impose a maximum activity limit. I don't know of any other game that does. If people want to nolife for 15 hours straight, why do you care? It's their choice to spend their time like that. Be careful with that, apparently it is not the choice of a person to make unhealthy decisions, it's purely the fault of the company making it available and appealing according to most here. Considering they are the ones who it would apply to the most, I don't see what is so funny with that. Those who are lower than 99 are the ones looking at how impossible it will be to catch top players, but now have the opportunity to catch up would definitely enjoy this update. I think I'm the only completionist with 100m+ in multiple skills who actually wanted this update though.

I think it's more disgraceful that we live in a society that feels that everyone needs to be babied and sheltered to prevent them from making any of their mistakes in life. If someone messes up their lives by overplaying a video game, that is their mistake to make. Without making mistakes, we cannot learn from them, and trying to put everyone in a plastic bubble to prevent all the "big bag monsters" of life is doing more harm than good. Blame the right people when these things happen. It's like blaming McDonalds for having their coffee burn them. It's MCDONALD'S fault that you dropped the coffee on your lap and burned yourself, definitely not yours, how could you ever know the coffee was hot?! Stop using the McDonald's case as an example. The woman had 3rd degree burns. McDonald's had been warned many times before and still deliberately served the coffee way hotter than they should have. The woman originally just asked for about $18,000 for missed work and hospital bills and only sued when McDonald's refused. The jury looked at McDonald's history and decided to punish them for their negligence. It was still the woman who decided it would be a good idea to put hot coffee balanced between her legs in the car, the point still remains the same, regardless if she had third degree burns, or just had a mild pain that went away after a couple hours, it's simple common sense. But no point going on, 200m all skills thread gets derailed enough for the mods, no sense derailing this even further.
-
I guess we just differ then. I don't think we should blame McDonald's for people becoming obese because they choose to eat there every day. I don't feel that we should blame drug dealers for people overdosing. I don't blame Jagex for creating a game when people play to unhealthy levels. I guess common sense should be completely abolished, and everyone should never be held accountable for their own actions. Sounds like a perfect system to me really. Just the society we live in I guess, as everyone likes to blame others, but not themselves for their own mistakes. Man society is getting worse every day...

Just to post what I posted on RSOF regarding 200m exp getting automatic 5th prestige: "Also think of this. Say they make it so 200m exp players can get prestige 5 right away. That would make it fair to the 200mers right? Sure, but it would make it drastically unfair to everyone else (a MUCH larger majority of players), who will have to catch up at a much slower rate, as people with 200m got 93.5% of their total prestige 5 exp @ level 99 rates. This becomes a much larger problem every prestige, as you have to spend even more time at lower exp rates. Really, there is no solution that will be fair to all, so why not be more fair to the MAJORITY of players, rather than the small minority who have 200m exp? The old highscores at least is SOME form of compensation to this. I know I'm not a 200m exper, but I do have quite a bit of exp in some skills (far above 99), but I don't mind being on equal ground as someone who trained less than me. If anything, it makes the competition much more intense, motivating me to continue. Hell, I was just waiting for gold membership to run out and stop playing out of boredom, but this will probably bring me back now."
-
I'm pretty sure that with prestige 15 = 195m, that 16 + would always be the same exp per level @ 200m for 99. This would mean that after prestige 16, there is no more increasing of base exp, and would be the same exp per level for every prestige after. This would make the most sense to me.
-
Wow, been wanting this in RS for so so so long, and it's finally coming :D Honestly, I don't see why there is such a negative reaction to this. I do understand based on people with 200m in skills being rated as lower than someone who got 99 and just reset immediately, but how could refreshing competition in the highscores be a bad thing? I personally have 1.2b overall exp, a few skills over 100m, and almost all skills at 26m+, and I am still incredibly excited to reset all of that to have a new beginning again. Sure I lose alot of my higher ranks, but it gives everyone an equal playing ground, while still not taking away any past accomplishments as you can just revert to normal at any time. I only hope I am reading it right that if I have 50m exp in a skill, reset, and gain 10m exp as Prestige 1, that my "lifetime" exp on the "old" highscores becomes 60m. Also would be cool if that 60m comes when I revert to my old stats again, so progress isn't SOLELY allocated to my prestige instead of my overall account. @ Sy, I believe both turning off, as well as turning on prestige has to be done at a bank. So you wouldn't be able to reset anything once you're in a dungeon.

Just so you guys know, it's been confirmed that a gilded dragon pickaxe from your toolbelt CAN be used to make the new pickaxe. -
In addition, over 1000 have been gifted, which requires paying the tax. So that lowers the number of resold to 4800. Not necessarily, as they could have bought the bonds, then gifted for the first trade, but definitely possible others bought from GE to gift.
