Level mod will affect the amount of experience you will receive when you finish the floor. Although the time you spend clearing rooms other than Gds is really a waste, because it takes way longer than what you are rewarded for in exp. I would say that you get 10% more experience and you double the time of the floor.

I wonder when Lyra starts on her remaining buyables, i think she does have it banked, so should see some pretty high exp gains from her side sooner or later.
