Tip.It Times Presents: Growing Pains
These are just from the first page, I didn't bother looking on the other pages. It's posts like this that make Jagex go, "Blah, blah blah. See, nobody even knows what's going on because they're too stupid, I'm sure there is nobody intelligent on these forums." Read last weeks article topic if you want to see a good discussion. I thought that this was a very good article, no complaints. If you were one of the kiddies who didn't get it, don't be even dumber by announcing it to everyone. I found it sort of funny when you mentioned the pear shaped business thing. I sure hope that doesn't happen to Jagex, I like playing RuneScape... Hopefully, I am too! :|

Tip.It Times Presents: The Good, The Bad and the...
I must say I am honoured. I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve actually really thought of making an official post on these forums, RSC, and even the official Runescape forums. I hope that it won̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be locked, as I sort of like having a clean forum account. To me it seems that there is so many people with the same opinion, and if I took action, someone at Jagex would have to stumble across my post sooner or later. Would they like to see that tons (I can̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t even guess a number) of paying members are sick of what they̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re pulling off? No. I agree here, I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m hooked as well, though I imagine I could be just as satisfied with another game. And Jagex can do basically whatever they want. It is frustrating yes, though they seem so narrow-minded.

Tip.It Times Presents: The Good, The Bad and the...
Well, as I've read through these 4 pages, I've seen basically two main people with strong valid points: Ginger Warrior and Baron8000. And Baron, I agree with Ginger more. Baron, you do come up with a ton of good points. I think that the main reason people are annoyed is because Jagex is trying to have too much control. While Jagex does have complete right and control over the game, most players feel they are taking advantage of this. Like I said before, Jagex is making the game they want it to be, not the way we (the players) want it to be. While Jagex is not obligated for any reason to do whatever we want, I think it would be in their best interest to. I remember reading through the archives of the Tip.It news and reading how the person who wrote it met up with Andrew in game, who was wearing the first set of full addy and rune 2h I think. This is of course no longer the case. The only interacting that I know about between Tip.It and Jagex recently was when Jagex threatened Tip.It with legal action because of the one controversial Times. I think that Jagex should be more supportive of rule-abiding fansites, rather than trying to shun us away from them. With the addition of the RuneScape knowledge base, banning clients, banning certain signatures for other forums, and the like, they sure aren't respectful of the work that fansites like this are trying to do. They just up and put SwiftSwitch illegal for example, without telling Strider first. Now that poor guy who doesn't even play anymore is trying to make us and Jagex happy. It isn't fair. The reason that most people haven't quit is because they don't want to. Sure I don't really like what Jagex is doing (big understatement) but that doesn't mean I'm just going to up and quit. I don't know what I'd do in my spare time. Personally I'd rather play a game with a bunch of narrow-minded founders than watch cable TV. So while Jagex is trying to keep control, more people will become unhappy. Can you imagine if the relationship between Jagex and it's paying customers was actually good for the most part, rather than bad? I sure can't. Jagex is just digging their own grave. I remember when there used to be tons more worlds coming out each month. This increase of players is no longer happening. Sure according to Wikipedia the increase of players is still raising, but on a graph it would be leveling out. I wouldn't be surprised if more mature players started quitting after finally being fed up. This would make the game more full of kiddies who would annoy the rest of the mature players who didn't quit already. Jagex would be stuck with more people sending in stupid querys and ban appeals, wasting resources back in the UK. This would lead to Jagex trying to get more control. I see a big bad cycle starting, and by the way things are going, nothing is changing for the better. Your end is coming sooner and sooner Jagex. I know that you're trying to make things better, but how can you keep turning a blind eye to all this? I along with many people are fed up, and I haven't even been playing that long and I can still figure it out. Supply and demand. Us RuneScape players 'demand' a good, fun, creative and mature game. You 'supply' us with a dumbed-down, toddler-aimed game that shuns good things like SwiftSwitch, other fansites and probably even these forums, where people can post ideas that your forum mods would lock instantly. Please let your baby go, she's all grown up.

Tip.It Times Presents: The Good, The Bad and the...
I strongly agree with the article and the majority of the posts. I hope that Jagex actually reads this post so they can tell how annoyed people truly are, assuming they don't know (which I really doubt). I used to never really get why lots of people complained about Jagex, but now I'm really starting to see why(most of this has been previously explained): 1) Jagex is trying to have too much control. I see nothing wrong with SwiftSwitch or whatever other programs they had in mind. If we're using too much bandwidth, then learn to accept it. You morons have a game with nearly one million members and tons more people who play for free. Don't try to pull a low budget deal off here. Is ~6million dollars net a month (~72 million American a year) not enough for us to enjoy some extras? 2) Us not being toddlers. I am a teenage boy (by teen I even mean older than 13). I'm not stupid (except when I got lured in Lumby caves for both my masks, which is the last mistake I'm making). I don't want to be treated like a toddler. I have a great education and don't want to feel like every time I'm on the computer playing a Barney game with a bunch of adults. Everything is dumbed down and I feel like they're trying to make everything easier for people so they'll relax. 3) Customer Service I actually have a funny story. A couple days ago I tried to get out of Jagex why you can't have more than one firecape at a time (since you should be able to). They responded four times in two days. I was completely amazed. The first three I was pretty subtle, and Jagex just got around what I was asking. On my fourth query I was not subtle at all. I was basically told how I could make a suggestion on their official forums. I was outraged. I would have rather had one good reply back than four crappy ones. They obviously didn't read what had been sent back and forth previously. Jagex is digging a HUGE pit for themselves. Most members are probably the mature ones who are sick of the babiness that the ten year olds who lied about their age like. So they're really decreasing revenue by trying to increase it. Want more money Jagex? Listen to everyone else who posted before me and MAKE THE GAME THE WAY WE WANT TO PLAY IT, NOT YOU! I can't believe I would ever say it but this year might be the last time I'll subscribe. I still got 163 days to see if Jagex might improve.

Tip.It Times Presents: An Interview with Gregechidna6
Wow, what a great article. I've always wondered what RSC was like way at the very beginning, I learned a lot of new things. I think people enjoy plaing what they are used to. People like Gregechidna6 like classic more, because it is what you're used to. However, the 220 thousand people playing RS2 right now like it because it is what they are used to. I think getting 99 in any combat stat is hard now... Anyways, thanks for that article.

Buying a new computer, need some advice.
Well, that is a great computer, and no computer place (such as Dell) is far cheaper than its comptetators. However, that computer will last you a long time and for that price, I would get it. Dell I have noticed is a bit cheaper than most other places. Also, I have an Alienware laptop, that is not quite as good as that and I payed double what you did and it is far good enough. So, I would say it is a good deal and would get it, but make sure it is Windows Vista capable (the new Windows version). Or, wait until Vista is avaialble and get a computer that comes with it. Otherwise, it will cost you a couple hundred to legally get your copy of Vista as an upgrade.

PHATS AND MASKS
just incase u dont know, the prices for masks and phats are constantly raising. some people want them because they look cool (ex. I really want a red mask cuz i want full zammy later and they look cool together) however, most people that buy them only do so so they can sell it for more later. it always feels good to buy something for 20k and sell it for 50k but its getting rediculous. i'm assuming that runescape wont just suddently stop, i think it will keep going on forever. In 5, 10 or even 20 years, the price for phats will be like 300mil and masks 200mil. lots of people starting rs will be like, "wow that's a cool mask, how much do they cost" and the person will be like, "200mil, but i bought it when they were only 900k and i dont feel like selling it" people starting rs in the future will never have a chance at these and to me that seems unfair. post what u think here and if u agree with me, send it as a suggestion to runescape and maybe they will set up some shop that sells them for like 20mil for phats and 3mil for masks so ppl that own them now wont be upset. they should also make a black mask, that would be awesome. what do u ppl think? EDIT 3 YEARS LATER: Wow, I used to type pretty bad. Also, I currently have red mask and two santas, so I probably don't agree with this suggestion anymore. :P
