In f2p there is a couple things you can do, since you mine ess alot try minning iron ore or coal ore. Also raise your woodcutting and cut willow logs and then yew logs which sell for around 250gp each. ~gotsol~

first off in the abyss are called rifts each rift is made for all the runes even blood runes and soul runes ( those rifts just dont work yet). The abyss is still in the wild and have a better chance of getting pked I would think doing the abyss rather then just going straight to the alter. Im not sure if you use the abyss that it will make it to where you dont have to go though the maze. ~gotsol~
