As advanced warning, I may not be here on saturday (Driving back down to Kent). All indications point to me getting back with 2-3 hours spare before the session, but since Mum is driving that might very easily turn into 4-5 hours behind. Anywho, I should be in a position to let people know 8 hours or so before the session.

"I give the door a damned good kicking" "I get out my warhammer and smash the hell out of the wall" You just get into a spiral of escalation.
-
There is nothing wrong with systems that are generated by the person...Its just systems which are, basically, a port of a computer game tend to flounder quite heavily, since computer game logic runs that 'you simply can't open that door' where as roleplaying doesn't really have that logic.

Indeed. I don't think we are gonna agree (For all my arguments I would say that Norwegians were probably paid more, though tax cuts heavily into that, while the actual price of Norwegian goods is higher than the extra money they get in wages). Personally, 'local' and 'Government funded' means 'small picture' and 'propaganda department'...Though I am not overly trusting of the OECD or CIA, either...Economics is 9 parts guesswork and 1 part copying everyone else, so it all comes down to what statistics you use and how you use them. Though, in summery, Lei, not being able to eat Burger King is a sign of psychological illness, or part of growing up (As you, surely, know, your tastebuds develop as you grow older, changing as they do.) In case of the former, consult a specialist, and/or Mather/Nef. In the case of the latter...don't read too much into it. Ico: No No No No Like that ever stopped people from killing each other... So No Single player, FTW No Ditto Oh, and No

I disagree. Archi is right. Worked for me. If like, the owner of coke murdered a load of people he may get increased sales. Any publicity is bad publicity (unless the coke is radioactive, etc) But politically, you wouldn't vote for the person who killed loads of children. At least I wouldn't. George Bush Campaigned to bomb Iraq's Children, Americans voted for him. Proof positive I say. =P But yeah, the logic behind it goes something like this: Guy kills the kids, then there is a huge uprising across Europe of similar people, tired of living with johnny forienger, then things get better...Voting is, therefore, redundant. On another level, if killing children somehow improved the country then that's good. Similarly Morrissey claims that if you deep fry children they taste good, so maybe there is an upside after all. It also includes all of the army, since soliders wear clothes, and wool makes clothes, and wool grows on sheep, and sheep eat food, and food is grown by agriculture. But yes, the statistics disagree with your assessment. From 88,000 to 44,000 indicates a rather large gap between your supposed statistics, and my supposed statistics.
-
Sounds like a good average...Only a third of your country not included...oh, and the poorest third...but you know...88,000 Dollars sounds better than 44,000 Dollars. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_average_wage Also not including tax...But you know...You can trust Statistics Norway. I disagree.
-
Well it is source checking...Since Wikipedia isn't exactly the most trustable resource (Better than no resource, but anyway).
-
Wasn't hard was it...try getting it in one post though....Anywho, will read through.

You could also look at the I am automatically right index too: United Kingdom: $1,000,000 Norway: $1 Or you could look at sources...

Norway comes 47th...Behind the Ukraine and Bangladesh. Also your 'questioning' (Going 'I don't believe it' doesn't really count as 'questioning', but anyway) of the statistics is rather baseless. If we look at the share of the household income by the top 10% in both countries we find: Norway: 21% Britain: 28.5% A difference of some 7.5%. Compared to the lowest 10%: Norway: 10% Britain: 2.1% A difference of 7.9% Ergo a difference of 0.4% IN FAVOUR of the UK estimate being an underestimate. So effectively it means nothing.
-
Really? United Kingdom: Disposable Income: 26,312 Gross Income: 34,854 Norway: Disposable Income: 25,224 Gross Income: 37,094 United States: Disposable Income:31,410 Gross Income: 42,028 (all in US Dollars) So yeah, on average Norwegians are paid slightly more than the UK citizen, but is taxed more, so has less actual money. Similarly they are paid less than the US citizen, and are taxed much more... And in both cases, are charged more. And yeah, Poland...That country that leaks people like a sieve. Personally, I think you have been taken in by the propaganda that Norway is swimming in immigrants, the situation is nowhere near as 'amazing' as the Norwegian press make out...or your politicans for that matter.

Probably relevant. I wonder if, in 100 years, someone will sing a similar song about Mather. Anywho... Norwegian Quality The fact that MacDonald's uses 'local' meat (seriously, over 30 miles and you are pushing 'local' to the limit) is probably more due to the fact that the MacDonald's burger imported from the USA would cost considerably more due to protectionism on the part of the Norwegian Government. (Not neccessarily a bad thing) However the quality of of Norwegian Beef is somewhat overplayed, it is true that they are generally raised to a quite high standard (mostly paid for by subsidy from the Government), but there is a general lack of competition in the marketplace, so the meat is far overpriced... In perspective, if America introduced a Beef tax of, say: 2,526.23(Norwegian Subsidy on Beef averages at 15,000 NOK per household) / 47,000 (Average US wage) So 5.3% After introducing this Beef Tax they introduced 'Local Beef' from Texas and other States, while slapping a 67.5% tarrif on imported beef(The actual tarrif is in flux, between 60 and 75%). As such the Texans are extremely happy at the fact they get huge wads of cash for producing what they have always produced, and so put very little effort in wringing every last dollar out of cows(Which is good) while making no real effort to increase their flock (Which is bad), while everyone else has to pay to be charged higher prices. Out of which you get a burger which is mildly better quality...though really, for £4.31 (The price of a Bigmac in Norway), I could buy: 1.81 Kilograms of Chips (Iceland, £1) 8 Quarter Pound Burgers (Iceland, £1) Iceburg Lettace (Iceland, 80p) 400 grams of Cheese (Iceland, £1) 18 Buns (Iceland, £1) So, I could make 8 Burgers, with chips, and still have 10 buns and probably alot of chips, left over, for 50 pence more than the price of ONE Norwegian burger. Supposing I went up market somewhat, and brought the more expensive burgers, at 4 for £1, still a profit of 300%... Supposing I went upmarket on everything else: Angus Beef Quarter Pound Burger, 4 for £1 American Style Chips, 1 kilo for £2 Sesame Seed Buns, 4 for £1 Lettace, £1.30 Extreme Vintage Chedder, 500 grams for £4 So £9.30 overall. I am still, STILL, paying £7.94 LESS than I would for 4 Nowegian Big Macs. Average of £1.985 LESS per burger. Though obviously cooking it would cost some money...and the 'luxury' of being able to shop while you are out and about weighs something. Just...you know...adding some facts to what would otherwise be 'My Country is better than your Country' (Co-incidentally my country IS better than your country.)

Lack of reasoning skills would show that far more than 'anger issues' Anger issues would have implied you smashed the computer for 30 seconds, then smashed it some more, rather than stopping and then starting again (Which shows rudimentary reasoning skills, but nothing beyond that)
-
Pst, guys, I think Retech bought the story that we didn't have a session  What? Its still on?! *Feedback as the microphone is knocked over*
-
Its not overly obvious as people get get extremely irrate when dealing with computer stuff. I remember when I had cleverly wiped all my saved data for a game I got especially angry...though I tend to take my anger out on objects that aren't valuable to me... So more 'Lack of reasoning skills' than 'Lack of emotional control'
-
An amazing ability you have there...though I think I have mentioned it before, but it deserves being mentioned again...Your amazing ability to invent reasons why people said things, and then answer question they didn't ask... Though in this case you actually answered the question 'Why did you smash the computer?' as well as incorrectly infering a number of things...so progress at least.

Ah, explains why I am not wading through through 'Session Senryaku!' [hide] [/hide] from Nex.
-
Surely you mean 'One of my school's computer'...Unless they have some sort of mainframe...or minaturisation hasn't hit the Norwegian computer markets yet.... At any rate, why? I assume the tedium of only having a 4 GHz computer, with only 4 gigabytes of RAM, made it impossible to run MS Word.

Mmmm, Wiked was fairly good, but Spamalot was better. (And so ends my knowledge of musicals, save for the Rocky Horror Picture Show.) Star Trek Predicted this! [hide]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8zsdIQe9UQ[/hide] Well its mostly for....people....who freakout at the site of blood. [hide] [/hide]

Sorry people, someone spilt(Which is an odd word) cherryade on the router, cleaned off the surface and then left it. Some sometime before 7 the internet died. Of course I go down stairs, the router/modem is beeping away, looks fine...So after 2 hours of waiting for the internet to restart (restarting the computer and all that jazz in the meantime) I head back to bed. Got up an hour or so ago, still not working, come down stairs to check, and they have finally left a note that the internet might be screwed because they spilt cherryade on it, and they will phone the landlord in the morning... I didn't have time for that rubbish, so disconnected and cleaned it, and volia. In summery: Idiots in my house.

Mwhahaha, I have eaten plenty of hot things, but never had that feeling...Its more like a warming that spreads through your whole body, mouth-neck-stomach-torso =P

Cortex Command: http://www.datarealms.com/downloadcc.php Brilliant game.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHhuXadGGDY I would try running a IC2 server, but it appears my modem has spontanously blocked IC2 website.

Mmmm, or you could PM people who were interested...Or use hamachi. But thanks anyways. The downside to the aforementioned sleep cycle is, 24 hours later(22.5 Technically) you feel really knackered, even though you have slept more than you were awake.
