A Sheet of Metal Between the Void and Flesh
archimage_a replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
Ok, it has taken hours, but a usable design database now exists. It is not finished (Of course), but it should provide a usable enough interface for you to design a few ships. It is spread across 4 sheets. Sheet One "Starting" Is the database itself. A huge amount of generally uncatagorised data is hidden between J and T (At least in the ODT version), feel free to look through that if you like. The rest of the data SHOULD be finished with, as in it won't be changed (unless it turns out that if you put these two things together you have negative mass or something). Sheet Two "Tech" is your individual tech Score. You start with these scores, plus 3 points you can spend anywhere. All are relatively self evident (If you look at the uncatagorised data anyway), with the only exception being Economics. Economics is a modifer for when you actually come to trade in your freight, and no I don't know how that is working yet. Sheet Three "Ship Design"...These are all pretty self-evident, but anyway... If you highlight an entry on Sheet One, between the Name Column and the Tech Level Column, and copy it, you can paste it into the Ship Design Sheet and it should work (As long as you have it under the right heading! ). This page is purely about making sure the ship actually follows the general rules laid down, and for determining the Scale of your ship. If you look at row 2 and row 1 thats all the important information; as long as there are no Red marks you should be fine. The final page is the summery page, mostly for reference purposes and ANY Feedback would be much appreciated as I started it about 30 minutes ago and am sort of 'Errr' As three special notes: At present I am thinking you start out with 7,000 points to spend on ships. The database is a tool to help you...You don't have to rigidly follow what it says (Except in the case of the front page). For instance I haven't included anything to do with the Subsystems, so you will end up deviating from the database if you do...This is fine. =P Finally, I will not be on much over the next few days (if I can help it) as I really need to do my readings and write the last essay(YES I WILL BE HERE FOR CROSSROADS). At any rate I hope you enjoy playing around on the database and I hope I have exausted the myraid of mistakes made so none made it through  http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12603519/A%20Sheet%20of%20Metal%20Between%20Flesh%20and%20Nothing/Design%20Database.ods http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12603519/A%20Sheet%20of%20Metal%20Between%20Flesh%20and%20Nothing/Design%20Database.xls -

Ok. Given I had a few spare minutes(Which could have been more productively used but still), this is what the combat screen should look like during the game: [hide] [/hide] To run through: Pink/Red: The symbol for the IHS (Imperial High Seafleet) Bismark is for a ship between scale of 250 and 1,000. The two other symbols are two squadrons of Fighters. (You can have up to 10 Squadrons) Blue/Aqua: The symbol for the HMS (Her/His Majesties Ship) Victory is for a ship between scale 100 and 250. The symbol for the other two are for ships between scale 25 and 100. White: The symbol is the command ship. This ship has the main sensor system (shown by the large circle). If a pirate vessel is beyond that range then it will not show its position. I have experimented with weapon ranges and they are not easy to implement. However each ship/Squadron will have a stat sheet (Generated by you  ) so it shouldn't be hard to recall. I would strongly recommend short ship names, preferably without IHS/HMS identifies, as they become unreadable if ships are next to each other. Now I am off to Seminars (yay). -
Huzzah. Only have 2 more lectures, and one seminar, then longerest weekend ever (Saturday to the 15th)

IRC plus Automapping website, ala: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12603519/A%20Sheet%20of%20Metal%20Between%20Flesh%20and%20Nothing/index.html Aka, you give me the instructions, I move the ships around on a GIMP image manipulator, save the new PNG over the old PNG and it auto-refreshes every 10 seconds. On the assumption people don't work with overly huge fleets it should be fine (I build 9001 fighters and fly them all seperately) Game will be turn based, with some mods (You are in the shower when the alarm bell rings, -2 Initative). Player turns will last 2 minutes each, and hopefully I will be able to update the map in less than 3 minutes. Thus, assuming 5 players, one round should take 25 minutes or less. Inertia will not count unless you are making some intricate manuever using it (I am already traveling 5 that way, so I move 5 this way to go 5 diagonally, around the weapon arc of ship X) -

Pretty much. Not really, you can board the enemy ship, or you can target specific modules, but you can't send a spy onto the enemy ship to destroy stuff. -
"We step into the abyss my friends, our planet has been blessed with so many unique cultures and now, after many years of searching, we have come across new cultures outside of our solar system. Behind me, behind this sheet of transparent aluminum, is the first Interstellar Convoy to leave our planet. The year is 1905, and only twenty short years ago did the precursor vessel crash to the Atlantic Ocean, recovered only by the brave determination of the Navies of Europe and America. The secrets that were held within have helped us make great strides in all fields of science and technology; even now the first ground based nuclear turbines are being built in Paris, Berlin, London and New York. But this is a technology known to work, a technology proved to work by the existance of the fleet behind me, all of them powered by Nuclear Fission, a technology so novel that our scientists could not have dreamed of the wonderous power! "It has been just over a century since we first slipped the surly bonds of Gravity to wander the skies in our primative hot air balloons, now we take flight again, this time to wander skies of a different kind. Know that you carry the hopes and asperations of the whole world with you. God Speed." Welcome Admirals, you have each been selected by your representive nation to travel to the system of Grimalkin where you will make formal first contact with the race of Aliens that our unmanned probes have picked up. Your cargo ships will be transporting parts of our culture, parts of our technology and, most importantly, parts of our scientific community. While we do not anticipate any trouble once we arrive, there are many lightyears between here and there and any number of threats could exist, so a contigent of Warships has also been included. Game Mechanics: The game is simple. 3 or more players attempt to cross a grid, or survive for more than 25 rounds, while another player/s attempts to stop them. The game is every man for himself, but the Convey group may feel inclined to work together as they are individually smaller than the pirate fleet. Your main objective, if you are part of the Convoy group, is to protect your own Freight (Either by surviving with it for 25 rounds, or getting it off the map, either by the sides for 25% of its value, or the top for 100% of its value), this can be stored in specially build Haulers, which are relatively defenseless, or inside warships, the choice is yours. Your objective, if you are part of the Pirate group, is to raid the Convey as best you can, with points being awarded for the amount of Freight destroyed, and double points being awarded for captured freight (however they then have to survive till turn 25, or leave the map by any side to count) The points can be used to buy new technologies, which open up new ship construction avenues. Unfortunately, me being me, I have decided to post about this game when I am not fully prepared and, indeed when I will not have time to prepare it for a good while (Friday at the earliest, though the next week is gonna be touch and go. After next Thursday (The 3rd of May) my schedual clears somewhat.) That said, I have spent several hours building a database =D http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12603519/A%20Sheet%20of%20Metal%20Between%20Flesh%20and%20Nothing/Ship%20Stuffs.ods http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12603519/A%20Sheet%20of%20Metal%20Between%20Flesh%20and%20Nothing/Ship%20Stuffs.xls Also a website (Which will serve as the map for encounters) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12603519/A%20Sheet%20of%20Metal%20Between%20Flesh%20and%20Nothing/index.html And a bunch of ship sprites. Anyway: If people are interested please sign up (Includes Mather) or post your thoughts about what I have got so far =) To sign up simply post your country and your Admiral's name. If you want to look through the ship details then feel free, don't be discouraged if they don't make sense yet, they are not finished, they are just included to show people the direction I am heading in. (It looks more complicated than it is, you basically need to have positive Power and Control to build a working ship, everything else is just dressing =P) Denver Fudge Tavenites.

I can't see a reason not to [run it], unless the players want to abandon it.

Sufficing to say there are no plans to include Psionics.

Hey, all Thinking of running a Space Combat game. You would be in charge of a fleet of ships, travelling in a convoy. (Aka 3 players controlling 3 fleets which make up the convoy) There is a corridor of space which the convey needs to pass through, but the only support being given is one Command Battlecruiser which is under joint command. If we get more than 3 players then the 4th player will control the Raider Fleet, which is one and half times the size of a normal fleet (But half the size of the combined fleet). If there are more than 5 players then the 6th is a second Raider Fleet. And so on. The fleets can contain Freighters, Warships and anything in between. These can be designed with a lot of latitude if people want it. Each ship costs a certain number of points, and even if your whole fleet is blown up/survives, the next time you get the same number of points. However, freight that is delievered gives you research points. Command Research increases the number of points you have, Ship Construction decreases the price of ships and the different modules, etc. The focus of the game is combat, though there is no reason that people cannot do some roleplaying as well, for instance, if someone was a bit traitorous they might make a deal with the pirate fleet to attack someone else and thus not get harmed. Similarly, two players might work together with one carrying mostly frieghers and the other carrying mostly warships. The game will be played on a grid and would be turn based. If anyone has any ideas/wants to play let me know and I will start a new thread.

I do agree with Mather here...People trying to drive their non-snow safe cars, along non-snow safe roads, and not knowing how to is what causes the vast number of accidents in America and Britain. The snow itself only plays a very small part. In Norway, and other countries where snow is fairly common, people look outside and go 'Hmmm, its snowing, and my car isn't snow safe(for some reason)...I had better walk.' and because their infrastructure is built to accomodate small peices of frozen water, they are able to go to school, work and what not without huge accidents. Though, really, the number of Snow Days Nex has had, you would think that people in your area would just buy cars with tracks, or snow skies on...Or maybe even snow chains...That or walk more, but you know, would probably cause an outcry. As to lodestones....Load Stones (cough) Similarly: Lode-stone and Weigh-Point Then consider that lodestones are/were used in compasses. All of which leads a person to conclude that someone, somewhere has thought 'I am so clever, I have thought of this amazing pun and will use it in my game.'

Proving God through a theory? http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/ontological-arguments/ Only 1,000 years too late. Also: Mass = energy. Mass is Energy, not equal to energy. -Energy = momentum. Momentum = Velocity * Mass. If previous statement is true then Energy cannot equal Velocity * Energy, unless velocity is. There is no proof that God moves at 1 meter per second (Though it would explain why he does nothing about disasters). -Time = momentum. Momenum = Velocity * Mass. Velocity = Distance / Time. Ergo Time cannot = (Distance/Time)*Mass And etc. People in Crossroads, may be slightly late, buying food.

Exactly, this is what I mean. When I was playing your game you didn't make a clear that it was 'What Mod says goes' if you had written that then I wouldn't have argued half as much. I was under the impression that you wanted us to be able to argue with you, since that is the view you commonly express in games. The Codex (as suggested below*) is almost a checklist for a GM/person to go through when they start the game and go 'Nah, I don't agree there, I will do something else' We just need to lay out what the players, what the GM and what anyone else (Can't think of anyone else, but just in case) are expected to do. I entirely agree that we shouldn't do a 'All games follow DnD rules, trololololo.' Retreieved from: http://forum.tip.it/topic/277977-recruitment-drive/page__view__findpost__p__4602260 *Extended Edition (If you have any questions about the rules, this is the place to look): [hide] 1. Games are run by the Moderator or Mod or the Game Moderator or the Game Master or the Dungeon Master or the Author, or the Thread Creator. So if you see someone being refered to as any of these terms you can be fairly certain that is the person to PM with any questions you may have about the thread/game. 1.2 If you are ever unsure who the Moderator is then post in the thread asking. If you forget please look back over the thread. 2. Threads may or may not have their own rules laid out in the opening post. 2.1 If they do have their own rules they will be outlined in the Opening Post as fully as the Moderator can, but games are often a work in progress, so if you are not sure, ask! 2.2 If they do have rules outlined then the opening post will probably refer to a well known game type, such as Hegemony or Dungeoneering. These 'Types' are based on Tavern Tradition and may look daunting for new players who don't have a lot of experience with the Tavern, but are based on commonsense concepts which are easy to pick up as you go along. The two main types are outlined at the end of this introduction. 3. In roleplaying debates can sometimes get very heated, just remember, its only a game, no one's feelings need to be hurt. If you see someone being picked on, and you think it should stop, please PM the person who is posting the mean comments and ask them to stop, this will usually solve the problem. If they are rude or refuse to stop, please report them, including as much information as you can, by clicking on this button, next to the offensive post: 3.1 If you are ever unsure whether or not to post, ask yourself these questions: Does it Improve on the Silence? Is what you saying True? If it isn't True, is it at least Kind? 4. Do not advertise your own game on other people's threads. It can be very hurtful to see people leave your game to play someone else's, and very disruptive to the game. 5. If you think a game could be improved in some manner, PM the Moderator with your suggestions, if the Moderator agrees with your suggestions then he or she will post, asking if the players would be ok with this change. It is important not to become over defensive about your ideas, a big argument in the middle of a thread can really disrupt gameplay, something nobody wants. 5.1 Occassional 'Discussion' threads are started specifically to discuss an individual game. These should only be started by the Moderator as it can be very hurtful to the Moderator if someone else tries to redesign the game while they are trying to run it. 5.2 It is important to understand that the Moderator has the final word here. If you are playing a game and disagree with the Moderator very strongly, so much so you think it may cause problems later, then simply post 'I am sorry [Moderator's Name], I disagree with how you are running this thread and I wish to withdraw from the game.' Losing a player is often saddens a Moderator a great deal, but it is important for both the Moderator and the Player to know where the other stands on the issue. 6. If you withdraw from a game then your forfit the right to rejoin that game later and MUST ask the Moderator. The Moderator has no obligation to allow you back into the game. 6.1 The Moderator is under no obligation to allow any player to take part in a game that they are running. 7. It is the Responsibility of ALL Posters to obey the Rules set out by the Tip It Forum. If they forgo this responsibility then posts may be edited or removed and their accounts warned or banned from the whole Forum. 7.1 It is the Moderator's Responsibility to run the game in a manner that is coherant and user friendly. If they forgo this responsibility then players may choose not play the game any longer. 7.2 It is the Player's Responsibility to play the game is a manner that is coherant and sensitive to the Moderator. If they forgo this responsibility then the Moderator may choose to give the player penalties or may even decide to give up the game altogether. 8. These Rules and Guidelines represent a Voluntary Agreement. There is no reward on penalty for following or not following these rules(With the exception of rule 7.). Failure to follow these rules will simply upset the people who agree with them [/hide] I entirely agree. We need to recapture that spirit, but to do that we need new people. Like you say, you are the last recurring poster from that era, you can't carry on the brawl on your own so we need new people. We need to recreate the Tavern, and that requires us, and the new people, to take back the Tavern, to throw out the year old 'settlement' and return to the lawless (but still following the Tip It Forum Rules) wilds that made up the first year of the Tavern. As I said to Iey in the PM, I am not saying 'I have a plan to lead us back to greatness' I am saying 'We need to do something, so we should disregard, congenially if possible, the current rules and suggest new rules. We should not try to remember the old glory days, feverantly hoping Dusty will spontanously post some ingenious military plan to invade the Yeman, but should bring in new blood and create new glory days. We need to reopen discussion and work towards improving the Tavern.' We have sat, too long, on the laurals of the early days. We have defended against efforts to 'civilise' us, but we have grown fat on the prosperity of old, and now we bicker and argue amongst ourselves over trivial things. In the words of old: ' You enter the dank smelling tavern and it takes your eyes a moment to adjust to the murky light that seems to come from a single candle on the end of the bar. On the wall you notice a set of rules, encased in an ornate cabinet, but with such a thick layer of dust as to remember them useless. Next to that a vistors book, on the front is stapled a child's drawing of a tavern, and Falador Tavern is embossed on the cover...But the R seems to be round the wrong way and the writing itself looks like some half hearted joke. Can this truely be the Falador Tavern, the Tavern you left two years ago for real adventures? You look around some more, and slowly, as your eyes adjust, you note that all but two tables have been put away. Indeed, when you look at the floor, you see the floor is littered with half drawn maps and minatures, discarded almost without thought. Above your head the blu-tack holding the HEGEMONY banner, once proudly displayed for all to see, falls away and you see the thick, sewn banner has been replaced with a long sheet of paper. You venture forwards, hoping against hope that something will present itself, and lo it does, you see the familar figures of Archi and Mather, but rather than talking in jest, or in friendly debate, you see them, their faces turn down in grimace, their hand on their daggers, ready to murder each other if only given half a chance. You look around with a worried look, surely they are acting? But you see no audience, indeed you note the desolation of the place. When you look at the tables you see they hold two games. One is covered with graphs, a bit of blood and reems of paper. Below that there is a model spaceship and a vast expanse of blank paper, the signs of much exploration to be done...But you see the words 'QUIT' emblazoned in red ink over two of the positions, as though the game was abandoned before it even started. The other table is covered with scraps of paper, maps and other roleplaying detritus. Indeed this game looks like the games of old...But here you note that it is not the huge number of players of old, but just a few. The sense of desperatation is almost enough to overwhelm you, to send you running from this nightmare, but instead of that you calmly place your bag upon the bar, the Barman herself, one Ieyfura, slowly coming to, as through woken from a long slumber, and the other, known as Jehosaphat, pokes his head around the door, drawn by that magical force whenever someone touches the bar. You look him up and down, he is wearing rubber pants and in his hand a fishrod and you half laugh out 'Gon' Fishin'?' You shake your head as he laughs back, and then you set your mind to the task at hand. You cross the street, buy a hammer and some nails, and once armed you challange Archi and Mather, Iey and Jehosaphat to help you restore the Tavern to its former glory. ' Archi takes a deep breath and slowly lowers his gaze. Beneath is breath he mutters 'What have we become? Are we animals, locked in this place without escape only to protect others? I shall help you Newcomer.'

Dear Iey, I was recently posted on the Prototype game thread (Mather's game) and I felt that it was very important to note that an Inexperienced Moderator, with Inexperienced Players, often don't know how to work together for a fun gaming experience. Indeed even I, an Experienced Moderator (Modesty, AWAY) often find that Experienced players sometimes don't know what I expect from them, and thus aren't sure how to behave. As such it might be a good idea to sweep away the vague, ill-defined and, effectively, worthless, rules stated here: http://forum.tip.it/topic/281101-falador-tavern-rules-guidelines/ And replace them with a new Codex of Roleplaying (Or something), which would provide a clear set of 'rules' which the players should follow while playing, in addition to the OBVIOUS AND IMPLICIT Forum Rules. The Codex should clearly indicate that the rules are Opt-Out rules (Ie they apply unless the Mod says they don't), so there isn't so much confusion as to 'Does it mean the Mod has the final word in this matter?' I believe I wrote up a list some months ago, though it wasn't used because it was too comprehensive (And, as predicted...though arguably by me, which somewhat invalidates the results ... caused a great deal of confusion and ended up destroying a game that had done reasonably well up to that point.) It may be an idea to resurrect that list in some form and revamp the Tavern... It has been a year and a bit since we last Revamped the Tavern, and since we had one new person join in that time I think we can agree it failed abysmally. (Again, as predicted) Indeed the original set of rules recieved over double the number of views (Though it has been active for double the amount of time...but half that time has been on the back pages of the Tavern) and attracted well over double the number of users. So yeah. I think, now that we have a full time Fally Mod, and we have people looking to join (apparently)...and importantly we have managed to 'shed' (Not to sound hurtful) a number of the old members which leaves room for new people to enter. Moreover the legacy of Falador Library is more or less dead, and the old community, which had, more or less, held the Tavern in a stranglehold (Myself among them) has largely disbanded. I think it is time that we reinvented the Tavern, decluttered it (seriously, the first page has threads from 8 months ago...) and generally relaunched it. Perhaps we could see if there are new communities of Roleplayers developing, either in Off-Topic or elsewhere, and invite them here to take up the mantle. Maybe this time, instead of taking advice from the Admin...and leaving the decisions to them ... we give power of arbitration to the new group (That or Mask and Nightwhisper, maybe Wyvern as well*) and give them them their chance to shine. *Kind of intermediary, since he joined as we were switching over...I guess it is up to them, as individuals, to take up the mantle we offer them...Us stepping back and all that... PS. Reform Act of 1832 and feeling very British.

You might want to edit that to just refer to insults...and if you wanted to be accurate you might want to say 'Except the 'You are a terrible GM' comments' In the first place I have said, on a fair few occassions that I respect your intellect in certain things. Similarly I have paid other compliments that was probably not your intention to return ten fold to me. In the second place...I think we can agree that my days as a GM have generally been marked as 'good'. Apart from that...Four things: 1) I enjoy engineering mind puzzles, learning about new concepts, and fitting stuff together in my mind...typically based off of other things...For instance me reading several papers (Through the Uni database) which concerned the effects of electrostatic fields on passing particles, notably that they entered an increased state of excitation over time, caused me to think 'Maybe only using Magnetic Fields would be better'...Of course given that I have been writing 3 essays over the past week, as well as running a game and bouncing ideas around on Mum's Assignment (typically 4 hour sessions, every other day), I don't really have the time to work out what the Density Flux is equal to, or to, basically, work through the puzzle with my typical style. 2) Macro-Engineering is not something I overly trust the Tavern with, ever since someone decreed that 2 Billion Dollars was enough to build an Underwater City, over a kilometer in diameter, and I had to show that it wasn't enough to cover a 1 kilometer diameter dome in plywood, let alone nano-tubing. Similarly, anything with a technological bent I don't overly trust the Tavern with since it has been suggested that a Mass Accelerator could be used to fire astronauts into space, when actually the G-Forces involved would turn them to liquid. On top of that it has already been demonstrated that Ion Thrusters are not the miracle technology they are thought to be. All of which causes me to put very little stock in what the Tavern argues because it is, innevitably, based on some form of TV science. 3) I am slightly confused by your post. I am not sure if you are refering to me as having a game that 'strictly abhors to random rules and used several pages to finally mention that what he was getting at was in fact not what was logical to assume at first' I am kinda drawn to say that you meant adhere, rather than abhors...Though even there there are problems... In the first (Abhors) case, it is true that I did not allow people to spontanously break the rules were possible. But I did allow people a great deal of leeway with the rules. In the second case (adheres)...It is very true that I did provide only very vague guidelines in the vast majority of cases, allowing people to come up with their own interpretations...On the other hand there were a core set of rules that were followed and only rarely (Typically because I forgot something) deviated from them. Of course it may seem otherwise since people got one answer with one question, and a different answer with another question...Typically because they asked something different. 'Is this not blue?' Yes 'Is this red?' No. The second phrase...Not entirely sure. In the game I very rarely 'got at' anything because I was playing a neutral character with no real concern for anything(in my game). If you are refering to my general behaviour rather than my in game behaviour then I would probably agree with you...Though it largely runs counter to your other point that I write large posts that are unneccessarily long. On the other hand I have said, on many occassions, you should not assume I am 'getting at' anything beyond what was actually written. This would fit both of your catagories. For instance I draw together a strand of argument formed out of a dozen or so posts, which stretch over a dozen pages and people, for some reason (Possibly because my plans often place me in the best possible position), assume that that was my plan all along...At the same time when I write an unneccessarily long post it means that I am getting at something, but am not sure what I am 'getting at' at the beginning, thus it takes a long time to get there. Of course there are problems there since I am typically playing against someone else, and don't publish my long winded plan for them to see. The only exception is when Doom betrayed me so she could come third in a game rather than first(A brilliant plan...), but as a general rule it holds. 4) I guess this is kind of my only 'argue with you' point, for which I am sorry to Ieyfura and will try to keep this as non-hostile as possible. Simply put, I am playing your game to the best of my abilities. I am using my understanding of science to argue with the GM, as it advises me to do in the inital post. If you see that as a 'parody' of you, then I would suggest you question the structure of your game (Since I broke no rules...I didn't even infringe on any of the rules*)...and perhaps your behaviour in other people's games (Since you clearly believe my behaviour is '10 times' more annoying than your own, implicitly stating that you are annoying.) Not entirely sure what else I can add to that point. *If I was Iey I would take this as an indication that: http://forum.tip.it/topic/281101-falador-tavern-rules-guidelines/ Is clearly worthless and there should be, as has been stated on numerous occassions, a codex of rules which are opt-out (ie You follow the rule unless the Mod/GM says it doesn't apply). Probably a good idea not to call it a Codex of Rules, since the Admin get hissy that 'What if users think that means you are allowed to ignore the forum rules!' Probably something like Codex of Roleplaying...or something.

Would still be ever so slightly creepy. Either because I turned around and there was 'A Local Guy' on a poster. Or because I spent several minutes/hours doctoring a photo to make it appear like that... Not sure which is creeper. And yes...But not because of the poster
-
That would be ever so slightly creepy.

I am gonna follow Iey's advice/orders, and not attempt to argue with your comments. I will point out that the idea was barely formed when I asked the fundermental question...as I stated in the inital point. And I am gonna say thanks for finally answering a question that I asked, its a shame that the amount of effort required to get you to answer it was probably greater than if I had just spent a few hours reading a text book, then writing out the equations. But yeah. I am out. Hope the game works out. Edit: I am also gonna say this. For persistantly providing no information, acting like a hypocrit and, effectively parodying a roleplaying game, you are forever banned from my games. Against the advice of everyone in the Tavern I tried to give you a chance and through every stage you proved your critics right.

I was thinking of posting something along the lines Nex did... 'Its amazing that only a few weeks after I return home for Easter, you return to the Tavern.' 'Its amazing that only a few seconds after I had sat down to look at the Backroom, you posted that you were returning.' 'Its amazing that only minutes after I added 32 gigabytes of memory to computer using my memory stick...' ect But yeah, it is reasonably idiotic to attack Mather when he hasn't done anything wrong...just very overt and self-aggrandising. I guess both myself and Nex were annoyed the '8 more GB of RAM' set against Iey actually getting a working computer, Earth not having a computer and the majority of people just using 4 or less GB of RAM... Kinda like saying 'Hey, what a concidence, you made yourself a sandwich and I used a hydraulic ram to force a baked ham down my gullet.'
