  1. Switzerland likes this. (joke)
  2. Switzerland stays out of the conflict, but will continue to sell electricity to anyone who needs it.
  3. Yay, Retech shows his true colours...Massive Japanese Empire. Oddly enough because China doesn't expand by 8% EVERY year.... What you have to understand is that the world has got into a massive debt by proping itself up, so either you are setting yourself up for a massive recession in 2040 or you are going with a large recession in three years. To be honest I don't care. The fact is that if you are exporting 11 trillion dollars worth of goods then your markets directly relate to everyone else's markets....Think of it like a pie. There are 5 people. Two people do the apples, two people do the flour and one person does the mixing, and you get out relative to what you put in. Now if there is space for 500 grams of flour, and you put in 450 grams of flour, then you are going to get almost twice what everyone else gets...So instead of 20% you get 37.5%. Where as the other person who put the 50 grams of flour in only gets 2.75% of the pie. Which is fine for one pie... When it happens ten pies in a row that 2.75% is now not sufficent to sustain the other flour producer. Thus they either go join a different pie group or they die. So now you are providing 100% of the flour, and thus are getting 40% of the pie... But now consider that person who has left was the guy who payed the wages of the people who brought the goods who produced the apples. Thus now there are less apples around, and so you are now getting 50% of the pie, but now the pie tastes too floury because there are not enough apples...Further the people who put the apples in are getting back less of a return on their investment and are thus slowly going out of bussiness...Eventually(30 odd pies later) dying...if they didn't leave earlier. Thus you are now producing 80% of the pie, which isn't really a pie, as much as flour...which is pretty much exactly what you have put in, thus the mixer isn't important and you can get rid of him. Now you have 100% of the pie...except now the pie is just flour, and you can't survive on flour alone and therefore you die as well. Thus people moderate how much they produce, so that healthy competition exists, ensuring that everyone gets a roughly equal share of the pie....if everyone is going though a good period then great, the share of the pie stays around 20%, even though there is more pie to go around...in bad periods everyone still gets the same share of the pie. What you are doing is trying to expand without regard for everyone else involved in making the pie, and thus you will force them out of business, thus meaning that they won't produce, which upsets the delicate balance of the pie, leading to a recession...either when the apples start getting more expensive and they demand more of the pie to compenstate(as happened in 1930) or by them continuing to spend money they don't have on apples, for more than they actually get back...(as happened in 2007) So it really depends on if people go 'Hey, we need to stop Japan, how? Lets stop trading with it and try to protect ourselves.' or 'Hey, Japan is doing well, we arn't, lets trade with it, hopefully getting us out of this situation.' Way one means the world economy faulters, but begins to recover within about 4 years...except for the nation that over produced(As happened with the USA in 1930, which only came out of the depression after it started trading with Europe during the Second world war) which can remain crippled indefinately. Way two means the world economy crashes because there are Algae cars for $5 but apples cost $50... Subsidy helps, as it does in the EU, but if there is ever too much for the system to absorb then the whole thing comes crashing down because costs spiral out of the control. If you want to quote me situations where it didn't happen then fine....You are buying time, but eventually the debt, the costs, will spiral beyond your ability to control and then it will be far worse. So this isn't so much an argument, as me warning you of what is going to happen, and try to give you a chance to avert it.
  4. The world just went though a recession because of that....Growth cannot be sustained in the long term at such a high amount....Oddly enough there is only so much crap people will buy...Algae fueled cars might help but the fact is that you have had them out for three years now...most everyone who was gonna buy one has brought one... And Retech, I don't really care for your arguments that lead nowhere. The fact is you are doing something untennable which would wreck the world economy unless everyone else took something like a 3% GDP shrinkage. World GDP: 60,917,477 Japan's GDP: 4,910,692 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal) 8.3% World GDP: 69,917,477(Following Trends) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_past_GDP_(nominal) Japan: 10,000,000 14.3% Thus you would control a much greater portion of the pie...and since the pie is not growing at the same rate you are expanding other people are losing out...Thus their GDP shrinks, thus they protect themselves or the economy collapses because eventually you control too much of the economy and other countries can't sustain their export market, meaning they don't import as much meaning the system collapses.... A single countries growth has to be in line with the growth of the world as a whole... Sigh, I am going for Dinner.
  5. Retech you realise that at 5% for 7 years would make your currency uncompetative and the market crash due to over saturation of good....another three years and Japan will lead the Second Great Depression by over production. Analysts indicate that Gold will increase in value to around 1600 dollars per ounce, making the cost of living double and wages increase for those who still have jobs.
  6. Sounds fair...We will factor a 90% recession and everything will be fixed.
  7. Yeah, but no one can do anything about it except Retech or Sere...and Retech ignores Sere, so even if you win the fight he just posts the same figures....
  8. Anyway using the experiance on the Swiss Army Tank, P-Jets are being slightly upgraded, there are no major changes, though fuel capacity has increased by 10%.
  9. Retech make sure you send your technology to Sere for verification...I really don't want another oil-moss incident <_<
  10. Space starts around 600 KM... What international incident? Me changing the load out of my bombers so that they are less leathal would only provoke a diplomatic incident if the entire world was some how stupid...er.
  11. Em-Waves...I am not sure...I haven't really looked into it that much...you would basically need to send out broad spectrum pulses and then look for deviations between, say, radio waves and UV rays...though obvouisly variation would be normal...thus you are looking at probably a 10 year project to work out what a stealthed craft looks like...course you could rush it into service straight away, but the efficency would be terrible...
  12. Retech what am I swerving and ducking at 20,000 Meters? Fly pigs perhaps? Hitting a bomb with a missile is going to be fairly difficult... Due to the fact that they are not perfectly aerodynamic and are moving forwards when they are dropped at an unknown speed, falling at a potentially unknown speed and you have less than a minute to work out where they are and how to hit them... In other news Stratos Jets have started carrying empty bomb casings along with their normal payload. This has meant a 20% reduction in active bombs, but a 130% increase in bombs, per say. Thus 1060 bombs to intercept Retech. Even with one missile per bomb thats fairly crippling.
  13. Air Sonar wouldn't work, since the sound waves would dissipate to quickly. Em emmiters is basically what I suggested...
  14. ....Its call a prototype.... I usually make it while I am building....
  15. Retech, not really...Commercial Jets do it most of the time, though they tend to only go to 8 Kilometers up, rather than 20... Lol, shooting down bombs, now there is a novel idea. I drop....600 bombs, cost of about 500 US Dollars each, plus getting the plane to the Stratos Sphere. You launch 6,000 missiles, since 1 in 10 is probably good number, which cost around 1,200 Dollars each...So effectively for every 500 dollars I spend you are spending 12,000 Dollars...I fail to see how this is protecting you.
  16. Well the only way you can really do Anti-Stealth would be to send out broad spectrum pulses, as opposed to just Radio(Radar)... But you would need someway to detect it, thus making it a 5-7 year project(to my mind anyway) I guess your other way would be to send up satalites which take real time pictuers and just scan those for moving dots...Which are probably aircraft.
  17. Retech, you do know that the Statros-sphere is about 20 Kilometers in the air... Your missiles would be terribly expensive(Fuel) and terrible ineffective...
  18. Meh, I don't mind, I just use the smash and grab technique...someone announces something, I steal it and use it... Works far better than trying to work stuff out...Course it only works if you know what the other person has built...
  19. Unfortunately they disappeared from radar causing panic and confusion, untill it was realised that that was what they were supposed to do.
  20. I think the person sending the spy should have to solve a puzzle or something set by the person they are attempting to spy on.... Then if they succeed they can ask one question, which the other person must answer truthfully....
  21. http://imgur.com/?err ... And Mather it doesn't really matter. Like the Moon and Mars, there is not much point in me putting my base on a map until there is cause to do so...Until then it is just pointless. Also, Sere, you need to recolour Corsica, since it is controlled by France... Also I doubt the IRA would be happy to return to how things were, when actually you killed their people for no reason...and if they were rilled up enough to attack America then they are not going to be stoppable by a declaration of peace. Also the IRA isn't necessaily one monolithic structure, anyone with the gripe with Northern Ireland and the knowhow to make a bomb or shoot a gun can do something in the name of the IRA... Peace is unlikely to spontanously break out...just like in Iraq....Which should be in the middle of building its nuclear weapons since America and Britain pulled out
  22. Also Germany doesn't have to import half as much Coal and Oil, nor does it have to pay the salaries of those people...His nuclear plants are overzealous, since I don't plan to stop the flow of Electricity, and have made quite clear I have no annexture aims. Attempting to interfer with the Basel Hydrological Plant would be silly, and I am unlikely to end its lifetime early, since it powers most of Europe and would destroy trade and weaken the economy if the power flow was cut off. I have informed countries that this may happen and hopefully they will have some redundancy, but who knows... Its incredibly useful and there is no real suffering, outside the selfishness.
  23. Hmmm the ancient law of envoys....They may approach...though there are no 'gates' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Envoy_(title) Can send a Stratos Jet to get them if you like... And now for some light relief:
  24. Sere, don't interfer....Grim hasn't said how he is sending the lawyers yet... http://forum.tip.it/topic/256692-the-hegemony-5th-feb-2016-part-1/page__st__720__p__4084354__hl__solar__fromsearch__1entry4084354
  25. There is no Dam so that may be differcult...
