  1. I suppose it also depends on how many you're selling at a time. If you're selling anything lower than 1k cooked and/or raw lobsters then most people won't want to pay 250gp each. However, if you're selling 3k lobsters for instance, you could easily sell them close to 300gp each. By the way, what made the prices on cooked lobsters go up? Was it because Yew logs went down, so people started fishing?
  2. lol, the funny thing is I didn't even catch that until just now...
  3. Just as a precaution, I'm not really sure of the prices on these items right now. I know that a few days after they were released full Wizard (g) was 900k-1,000k. If I were you, just wait a little bit to see if the prices will go any lower. Once they start to stay consistant then you should buy.
  4. thast exactly how i started playing rs....i saw guys on the omputer there playign it saw what the name was wnet hom and got addictied... Lol, is that some sort of universal phenomenon? Because it's true; the only other time I've seen someone playing RS was at my local library. :P If I were to play RS at my local library, I'd get kicked off... Lucky for me my friend showed me the game on my own computer.
  5. Well, seeing as how the only F2P location for Lobsters is on Karamja Island (which is about as far away from a bank as possible on F2P), the most efficient method for obtaining Lobsters is buying them from the Karamja General Store raw, then cooking them there and bank them when you get back to the mainland. Now, if you want Fishing experience along the way, then your best bet is to bring an Air Staff to equip along with some Law and Water runes for teleporting back to Falador. Fish the lobsters and cook them there on a fire, then teleport back to Falador to bank them.
  6. Try looking on the Customer Service page of their site. I'm not sure exactly where it is because I've never had to use it, but I'm sure Account Security is somewhere on that page.
  7. That'd be cool if it also gave you a Jumping Jack or Push-up emote.
  8. Yeah, I believe if you dig near the Water Alter and where that Unicorn is over there you can recover the Zombie Head.
  9. You could try shooting at Cows near Lumbridge or near the Crafting Guild if you're F2P. That's what I would do. Once you hit 25-30, shoot down at the Scorpions at the Al Kharid mining site.
  10. I've gotten 3 out of the 4 mime random events from Runecrafting. Maybe it's just a coincidence, I don't know. And that 4th mime event was from selling stuff on World 1 by just standing there and typing. So far I have all the emotes except for Glass Wall, and I still need the Mime pants, gloves, and mask.
  11. You shouldn't need anything healthier than Salmon or Tuna when fighting Ice Warriors and Ice Giants. If you want to stay down there for a long time, you could bring Lobsters, but it's not really necessary.
  12. I believe it's about 200 or so (at least that's what I remember). If you check out the Crafting Skill Guide on this site, scroll down to where the jewelry is and it'll specify how many Iron bars can be forged out of the Ring of Forging.
  13. It depends on what you want to sell. All of the marketing boards are under the Marketplace section of the Tip.it forums. Each board has a specified category of items/equipment that you can sell there.
  14. It's where you go to mine the Blurite for The Knight's Sword quest. I believe it's south? of Falador near Port Sarim. It's right next to that dwarf that you have to give the Red Berry Pie to.
  15. One method I've always used (keeping in mind I'm F2P) is merchanting Lobsters. Head over to Karamja island with the following items in your bag: Rune axe (or any type of log) Tinder box Air staff (should be equipped so it's not in your bag) Law runes Water Runes Coins (the amount depends on how much you want to spend merchanting) Once you're over there, buy as many Raw Lobsters as you can from the general store, and depending on how many are in stock you can buy them as low as 15-30gp each. Light a fire and cook the Raw Lobsters you just bought and since you now have a free space in your bag (after you lit the logs), buy one more and cook that one. If you happen to burn a few, just buy more Raw Lobsters and cook them until they're all cooked. Teleport back to Falador and bank them, then head back over to Karamja and repeat. Depending on how high your Cooking level is, you can cook a whole bag and not burn a single one. I'm at level 73 Cooking right now (if I recall correctly) and I rarely burn Raw Lobsters, so the process can go pretty quick. Once you have a fair amount of cooked Lobsters (or you're out of spending money), sell them on World 1 or on the RuneScape forums for 200gp each. Let's say you bought 1,000 Raw Lobsters from the general store in Karamja at an average of 30gp each, that's 30,000 coins you spent, but you make a 170,000 profit if you sell them cooked at 200gp each. I know this isn't the absolute best way to make money, but it's pretty efficient for a F2P player like myself. In a single day you can get the 1,000 Lobsters you need if you stay focused, but if you're like me you'll get sidetracked by other stuff... I hope this helped, even if it only did a little.
  16. You still get experience if the Curse fails? Is there a certain level that you hit where it won't give you experience anymore? I didn't know about this... As for Runecrafting, you can buy regular Rune essence now for 15-30gp each, so if you have the money, just buy 500-1,000 Rune essence and craft Air runes. Runecrafting will level up extremely fast in the beginning, but once you hit about 45 it'll slow down dramatically.
  17. I think the quickest way would be to fight the Ice Warriors and Ice Giants in the Ice Cave. There's plenty of them in there, so you won't have to worry about it being crowded (especially on a P2P server). I've been training there since I was level 50 combat.
  18. 1. Iron arrows will probably be your best bet. I've always used Iron arrows to train (as a matter of fact, that's just about all I use). If you're lucky you can buy them as low as 15gp each on a F2P server, unless you're P2P then you can just make them yourself. 2. You could probably get away with selling a fair amount of Yew logs for 250gp each here on the forums. I wouldn't dream of selling anything in World 1 right now...
  19. Well, that's another thing. I would agree with you when speaking in terms of training, but for money-making I would go with Yew logs all the way (even at 60-65).
  20. Which is exactly why I took advantage of the cheap prices back then. It's just too expensive to raise your Smithing level once you hit 70+.
  21. Make sure you don't have Caps Lock on or anything. That could also be the problem.
  22. If you're F2P, I wouldn't bother with Rune essence (at least not anymore). When JAGeX introduced Pure essence, P2P players stopped buying large amounts of regular Rune essence from F2P players, so the merchanting profits from it went down. Coal and Steel bars are pretty good items. As are Lobsters (cooked) and, in some cases, Tuna.
  23. Hey man, I hear ya. Most people I tell never believe this, but I've been playing since RSC before their Party hat Christmas drop and I've never been great at making money. I personally never really got deep into merchanting, because it seems to hurt me more than help me most of the time. But there's one thing that seemed to make me some good money early on as a F2P player, and it involved buying Raw lobsters at the Karamja General Store, cooking them on a fire there, then teleporting back to Falador to bank them. Depending on how many Raw lobsters there are in stock, they can run as low as 15gp each if I remember right. So, if you buy 1,000 Raw lobsters for 15-30gp each, you spend 15,000 to 30,000 coins, but you can sell them for 200gp each and make 200,000. That's a 170,000 profit at the least. The only downside to this is all the running and teleporting you'd have to do. Like I said, there has to be more efficient ways for a P2P player such as yourself, but the few ideas that I've given seem to work best for me on a free world. I really wouldn't go anywhere near merchanting unless you really know your stuff like some of these players. I've just barely touched the topic of merchanting with that Lobster idea, and that seems to be the only reliable merchanting technique for me. If you're an anti-merchant, just go with selling raw materials I guess. It's about time you had a 2nd opinion though... sorry.
  24. It shouldn't take you more than a few hours at the most. Whenever I'm looking to cut a large amount of Yews logs, I'll set a goal of cutting 100 Yews each time I log on that day. Let's say I long on 4 or 5 different times in a day, that's 400-500 Yew logs. At 83 Woodcutting, it only takes me about 30 minutes or so to cut and bank 100 Yew logs near Draynor (seeing as how I'm F2P). Just manage your time and you could cut about 500 or so Yew logs in one sitting if you're determined enough.
  25. With those stats it really shouldn't be a problem. The only advice I have to give is efficient for F2P players only, so you'll definitely want to hear this from an experienced P2P player. My best advice would be to either chop and sell Yew logs, smelt Steel bars, or possibly put your Fishing level to good use. Try merchanting Lobsters. Those seemed to rake in a profit if you sell them to F2P PKers. Sorry I can't be of much help. Being F2P limits your options, so I'm used to being restricted and still making a half-way decent living.
