~~~ Merchanting advice needed ~~~
Yeah, JAGeX seems to be aiming at bringing the RuneScape market back up since they introduced Slayer. Eliminating easy ways to make money that require little skill seems to be one of their objectives to me. I remember when you could easily buy coal 100gp each... those were the days.
F2p chopping yew logs at level 62??
Yeah, go for it. I've been chopping Yew logs ever since I hit level 60 and it's been prosperous for me, and I'm F2P as well. You'll level up faster than you think. Pretty soon my goal will be to reach level 90 Woodcutting by the end of the summer.
fastest way to level to 70 wcing?
Many people would tell you not to cut Yew trees until you hit about level 70, but I would just stick with Yew trees. You may not get them as often, but they give pretty good experience per log and you can sell them for up to 300gp each (although I know you're not interested in money). If you really feel like you're not making much progress, you could always chop Willow trees around the pond between Lumbridge and Draynor. I wouldn't bother trying to fight the crowd behind the Draynor bank since you're not going to be banking the Willow logs anyway.
Hp stats
There's also that 4th combat option when using a melee weapon that will put a bit more emphasis on HP growth. If you're equiped with a Scimitar, I believe it's called "Lunge" or something. It trains your Strength and HP at the same time, but I've grown to assume it has a greater effect on HP growth. Could be wrong though.
How do people get 70 ranging so fast????
As a F2P player, I just buy several thousand Iron arrows at a time (anywhere from 5,000-8,000) and stand next to the cow pin by the Crafting Guild and shoot at the Hobgoblins on the small peninsula across the water. I'm at 69 Ranging right now (not a big fan) and it seems to work faster than you'd think.
~~~ Merchanting advice needed ~~~
Try using the Search feature on these forums. There are countless topics about this same subject, so you're very likely to find what you're looking for. If you're just looking for a few popular merchanting items, here are a few (keep in mind I'm F2P, so I don't know the absolute best items to buy/sell for P2P): Rune armor Rune essence Steel bars Yew logs Coal And once you get several millions coins, you can start going for the rare holiday drops, but I personally think it's a very risky business.

Mining -> Making the "Top" dollar
If you're just strictly looking at Mining, I always head out to the Lumbridge Swamps and mine the two Adamantite rocks out there. Once you've mined both, switch worlds and keep mining all the Adamantite ore you can. At level 73 mining (as I am, too), it really doesn't take as long as you'd think to mine it. Either make them into bars, or you could always just sell the Adamantite ore on the RuneScape forums or here for 500-1,000gp each. If you're looking at money-making ways for Mining and Smithing combined, Steel bars would be the best way to go.

Cannon Teleport
I may be wrong here, but I believe the cannon pieces will just end up in your bag when you teleport. If not, then I would imagine they would end up back in your bank if you don't have space. Can't really say for sure since I've never used a Cannon, but I would imagine that's what JAGeX would do.

Clothing/hats?
Yeah, you probably won't find any place better than here. Just look around at the different guides and you should find what you need (unless you're talking about what the clothing actually looks like on the character).

Efficient Crafting
Yeah, I agree. If you don't have the money to spend on Silver ore or Silver bars, just stay inside the Crafting Guild and make Bowls over and over again. Believe it or not, you actually get close (if not the same) EXP per hour as smelting Silver tiaras.

Average Income Per Hour?
Lately I've been training my combat skills to see how quickly I can get to level 100 combat, so I haven't been fixed on making money. When I do go for money, seeing as how I'm F2P, I usually rake in about 50-100k per hour and about 300-350k per day. I never really understood how F2P players can make millions per day. Even by merchanting, I just end up losing money.

zombie clothes
Hmm, so JAGeX made it to where you get the items in a particular order now? It seems like with the Mime event, you get random stuff depending on what you already have. I got 3 out of the 4 emotes before I got any Mime equipment.

mining question
I've always used the Dwarf Mines even when I was a member. If you're a member, the mines won't be as crowded, but for a F2P player it can get annoying with all the other players (and not to mention the Scorpions). Sometimes I'll use the rocks near Rimmington because there's barely anyone ever there. However, it's a longer distance from a bank.

What exactly is this...?
Hmm, it doesn't add to any stats at all? No special effects? That's hard to imagine seeing as how everything in the game has some significance. However, seeing as how it's only a few hundred gp, it would make sense that it doesn't serve a real purpose. Thanks,

money making help
If I were you, I would stay away from merchanting until you're rich enough to not feel the bruises of a bad sale. Mark my words: One of these days, RS is going to have a Great Depression due to the market these days... Anyway, as far as making money goes, I just go the old fashion way with Smithing. Buy Coal for 150gp each at least, but don't go over 200. Mine the Iron you need and smith Steel Bars. Sell these bars 500-550gp each and you should be making a 100k-150k profit depending on how much you do. This can easily be done in a day.

funny stuff on the forums
Yes, I have... by the way it's grammar (with an 'ar'). :wink:

What exactly is this...?
I've been seeing a few people walking around with what looks like a ying-yang necklace of some sort. What does this item do and how can you obtain it? Does it have anything to do with the new random events and is it P2P only? Thanks,

Green d'hide (g)?
Alright, thanks. I take it that there aren't Green d'hide vambraces (g)? Just the body and chaps? Just how new are these new trimmed robes and hides? I haven't played this game in awhile...
-
Green d'hide (g)?
How much is a full set (body and chaps) normally?
-
Green d'hide (g)?
I was just wondering if the Green Dragonhide (g) wear is for F2P as well as P2P. I know the trimmed Wizard Robes are, but I didn't know if the Green dragonhide was. Thanks,

Older Players
I feel the exact same way and I'm 17... All I can say is, thank God for the Public Chat- Off option. :P

who is the oldest player on runescape?
There may be a topic like this some where, so I apologize in advance for duplicating one. But then again, I'm sure there's more than one of every topic some where in these forums... Any way, I was just curious to know how old everyone is. It seems like RuneScape gets a wide variety of ages, so I wanted to see what it would all average down to. I'm 16 myself, but I don't really play this game like I used to. I was really into it about 2 years ago, but I quit members several months ago and just play every now and then when I find the time. Later,
