  1. It's funny... a lot of people, like several of my friends who play/played RS think that anyone who plays MUST be an addict. I can proudly say that I'm not an addict and I never have been. Hey, it's a game, and I play it that way. My lack of no-lifed stats pretty much prove that. I just never saw it as worth it to play RS until I got a 99 stat. I'm in a few after school clubs, go out with friends pretty much every day, and am getting good grades. I'd say I have a life. :)
  2. King Sabre - If you don't know what goes here, you don't deserve to play Messiah - Evil, but famously evil Militant - Founder of "THE" clan way back in cyberwars Orisis BK - Famous clan leader
  3. I did see the speech, or at least the vast majority of it. I personally consider myself an independent, and I was rather impressed with the speech. He seems to be more open-minded, and I was happy at some of his propositions. However, it'll be interesting to see whether or not he actually follows up on his words. I'm just very skeptical, I suppose. Too many politicians use mindless rhetoric and take no action As for the Patriot Act and the wiretapping issues... It seems like as long as they're only doing it to suspected terrorists or people with terrorist connections, it's fine with me. However, there needs to be a good accountability system over at the CIA. They need to only wiretap when absolutely necessary and not let anything "slip" like they did with the government agent names. So, if Bush follows up on his own proposals, especially the energy research funding ideas, things should get better. Iraq is the only thing I really am annoyed about, but there's nothing we can do to correct the faulty inteligence now. Everyone at Congress, Democrat and Republican, need to sit down and have a long talk about a way to deal with the insugency and get our troops back as quickly as the situation allows.
  4. I've heard a lot of good things about world of warcraft, most of it from rs players who seem to be moving in mass to the game. I just wanted to know, is it a free game or do you have to pay? I thought you had to pay, but someone told me you didnt.

    Flash Mind Reader

: ) this got sent around in an email i got a while ago. I figured out the pattern, but its pretty cool.
  6. Lol I don't think theres a player alive who hasn't gotten owned by a cow at some point. I would have to get like 5 pieces of cooked meat before I fought a cow or goblin.
  7. I remember my first day, I had absolutely no idea what i was doing. I wandered around, and then started killing goblins. Except no one told me that strength was the most important combat stat, so i trained controlled until i was about level 55 : P I remember looking at the map and trying to find out where i had started out, and for the longest time i thought i was in camelot castle. Then someone filled me in that Kandarin was members and that noobs started in lumby. I remember thinking my first trip to varrock was a big deal.

    Way to go canada!

Well to stick true to topic, yes what canada did was good. And also yes, it has reached the U.S. I live in Massachusetts, i should know  But, for those of you who like living by the bible, take a look at exodus 21-23. So, apparently if you hit anyone you are to be killed. If you curse at your mom or dad, you are to be killed. The bible even says: "eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound." Also, exodus 22: 30 - "You must give me the firstborn of your sons." So all you firstborn sons out there, if your still alive after 8 days your not a "true" christian. Every seven years you can't farm crops (exodus 23:10-11). Slaves are ok, as long as you follow the rules about what you can and can't do to them. Go ahead and look, it talks about how much you have to pay if you injure someones slave. So apparently Abe Lincoln and Martin Luther King are sinners! How dare they oppose what is allowed by the bible! After all, everyone knows that if you are "truly" christian, you follow all parts of the bible, down to the exact word. I assume all of you making these posts follow them, and have not been at all hypocritical.
  9. One good fantasy series is the Dragonlance series. I know its really long, i mean really long(it has over 50 books), but you dont have to read them in much of an order. They come usually in a bunch of trilogies, and some are old. Written by a bunch of different people since like the 70's, but all take place in the same world. All of them (at least the ones i've read) are really good, but can be a bit confusing in terms of whats a dream and wats not. I recommend Dragons of Autumn Twilight as a one to start off with, that trilogy is good.
  10. One of my favorites has to be Denethor's death scene in LOTR Return of the King. I mean, what's cooler than a human fireball jumping 700 feet into an orc army of over 100,000? And Gandalf's line then is awsome.
  11. Oh thats tuff. But with Yoda I will go, for great his l33t fighting skill is.
  12. Overall, I thought it was a pretty good movie. In my opinion it didn't capture the genius of Douglas Adam's book, but still a good movie. They skipped over some of the good jokes, and also character parts were lengthed and shortened (the Vogons and Marvin, respectivally). If you see the movie you should definately read the books, and in a way the movie, since it simplified the plot(lets face it, the masses probably couldn't handle all the complexity of Douglas Adams) it might make it easier to understand. Also the love story is a bit too much of the plot, but its hollywood. It doesnt hold too much to the book, but still a good movie by itself.
  13. I might play rsc, but i had assumed the new capes were f2p. It's just stupid to have them be p2p, since almost all wars are f2p. Add my name, Kop.
  14. Yea the game came out sometime in Jan. 2001 and I started playing in Feb 2001. I remember runescape being like tiny compared to what it is now, and how you could be either a ranger, adventurer, warrior or mage i think were the options. Unfortunately I was too noobish then to know about the holiday drops, otherwise i would have like a full set of rares now. I remember the high prices, asgarnia coming out, new stats, before fatigue and all those good old times. I remember thinking it was so cool when you could see what level people were (you couldnt always).
