Sorry, but I'm gonna be honest, the backgrounds are random ; lacks flow, direction and structure. The use of lighting is also random on the majority of those sigs. Stocks are blended badly and an example of this is the wolverine sig, the striking yellow; doesn't seem intentional, nor does it add as an element of design :?. Don't take it personally, I say what I see.
  5. After a hard year of studying for my finals, I finally got accepted into the course that I wanted. I'll be studying Multimedia-Business Marketing at Uni; and will be finally working with 3d programs, and I will also be learning advertising/marketing strategies :D So yeah I'm really stoked! 8) edit: Im also promoting my dev-art account  Clickage

  9. Version1 Version2 edit: maybe a wee bit more tweaking but its finished :D Also finally joined dev-art check it out. Still working on it. I was actually working on another vector project, but my other hard drive stuffed up with the vector I was working on and I've lost all my stuff . But anyway started working on this one instead on my new hardrive. C&C Thanks.
  10. Its looking spectacular man. Lots of good stuff floating around the media board now. I think it's almost time for me to raise the bar a bit as well. Sweet piece man, but try to finish it this time
  11. Thats some hot sauce there. The pose and body language really hints to a sense of danger. What I really like is the cape-like material. All in all awesome work man.
  12. Praticing in illustrator, I'm thinking of tweaking a few things but can't be bothered. Its kinda simple, but that was intentional. As usual C&C/ratings thanks. I'm not making anything more after this I don't think, taking a bit of a break.
  13. For the base 40 opacity and 20 in brush size and hardness 0. For the shadows I keep it and 25 opacity and 4 in size. These aren't discrete values, I usually change it to all different values as I see fit for certain areas, but that was the values that was most commonly used. Keiphus just explained the blurriness issue. If you look at the first version of this piece the arm appears really blurry, and to the final its a bit more defined, and appears sharpened yet still soft. I just cleaned up the edges. Also to get the colours to blend I smudged areas at around 20 opacity for the skin tones. Anyway that's just how I personally do things, everyone's got a different way of doing things, I hope that helped. Thanks for the comments everyone, and jab I'm living on the a 19th century monitor , so its colour correction is hopeless.
  14. Top left corner keep it really dark, adds static suspense and mystery. Add hints of light in the darkness to portray the oncoming assault. As you move towards the explosion you have there add firey tones and build that up throughout the whole piece to add an atmosphere of chaos and dystopia. Colors at the explosion should be vibrant, and then cast these tones onto the ships. So scrap the blues, blue = a cool color. You want warmth and fire so use red and yellow. Also darken the right corner as well, but not as much the left. I like the perspective you got going, so keep that and accentuate the three areas that you've used and that is, the ship, the city beneath and the explosion. And the smoke coming off the ship should be gray/blackish, white seems too pure. I probably missed something but thats what I got in mind. Extract the ideas and details that you want :)
  15. Same here, it's still hot though. However try and remove the distortion its buggin me. Other than that its a sweet piece : )
  16. Haha, I found that pretty humourous good work dude.
  17. The first one is awesome, I can see some impurities there though, it still rocks. The other pieces are pretty good nothing exceptional, and the individual weapons aren't that good IMO. Good Work!
  18. Double post :P My first ever
  19. Thanks guys /\ I think this is the final update, I've lost the will to go on :P . Final comments everyone, it would be greatly appreciated.
  20. /\ Tenshi, that is some hot C&C right there, we need more of that around here lol. Anyway whats with all these people from Melbourne all of a sudden lol. And not to be off topic, I agree with DH.
  21. Try centering the guy, the balance seems a bit off with him on the right. Also the chin is distorted, you should try fixing it up. I think if you fix these things up it would be better. Right now it's a bit plain, but that adds an interesting component.
  22. The border completes the sig. The composition is different, but works, and that makes it kickin, and I like the flow of the direction all moving to the left. I think it's a great sig and good job on it. Make more :)
  23. The text isn't working and either is the diagnal scanlines. Other than that it's pretty cool.
  24. Updated it, and thanks for the comments everyone you rock :D
  25. How you can have such an understanding for the flow and direction on the explosion, yet fail to understand where to place text is beyond me. But I'll comment on it as is. I'm liking the colours, but it needs a bit more balance and contrast. The left area towards the corner should be a little bit darker. I can see you tried to create an effect of ember trickling from the explosion judging by those two dots, maybe work on that a bit more. Because the idea would definitely work for the piece. Overall it's a great piece, good work.
