im trying to play neverwinter nights, when ever i have to load a area it boots me. ive done some things to prevent this but its a pain in the butt. ive disabled the services i dont need. so far the only thing that has worked is while the area is loading i go to task manager and set nwmain on high priority, this gets me through some areas but not all, i havnt gotten it to get past 4 load areas, thats only like 10-15 mins of play time. intergrated graphics card intel 2 ( yes i know... i have a better card on desktop....) 512mb ram OS home edition sp2 60 gig harddrive no viruses, loggers ext. (plz dont ask me to double check, this problem has nothing to do with viruses) have wirelessbroadband (but i have disabled it while playing and i still get kicked from game.) i really dont know what is causing my problem so i really dont know what i need to tell u about my comp... so does anyone know how to either shut down the [developmentally delayed]ed movies (that might becausing it) or any other ways of making it so i dont get kicked. NOTE: when i get kicked it doesnt come up with a message or error it just flat out boots me to desktop. (again nothing to do with viruses)

glad your working on your social life. im kinda the same, nice (well use to be, been an a-hole latly) and solve aurguments and fights without brining it up poitnlessly. but about u being potrayed as an a-hole, sure u should be able to express yourself, because people u are expressing yourself to should relize this is just the internet and nothing more. Otheres may see it as a respect thing. potray yourself to a certain extent, but not to the offense of others. And good luck on that girl thing later

thanks for the tips. i guess i wasnt very clear, if the graphics card makes a laptop out of my price range i dont need one. and about cheap laptops being slow, i dont need a fast computer if im not playing games. im going to use this computer for the following: interent- laptop must be wireless watching movies- must have a dvd rom BUT it would be nice to have the following (but if it makes it out of my price range i dont need it) games- ok graphics card (i really dont play 3d games, mainly RTS) 512mb+- for whatever i need that for, all my computers have been 256 and i have had zero problem playing games like morrwind. NOTE: I have a desktop computer, it is nice, very nice infact. I am getting this laptop becuase im going to be traveling alot this summer and i want to keep intact with friends and maybe write a few programs if i get bored. PURPOSE OF THIS TOPIC: sry i wasnt very clear in my first post, but i am looking for help finding a laptop with the specs i posted give or take some. price range: $600-750 I know this isnt much for a laptop, but for my desktop i payed $500-600, that includes nice LCD moniter samsung, geforce video card, wireless microsoft keyboard/mouse combo, dvd rom, suround sound w/suboofer, and some stuff here and there. so im not about to pull 2k out of my butt for a laptop ill only be writing programs and surfing the net on.

and whats the main difference between home and pro?

well thanks for spamming my highly popular topic! just barge in here and change topic huh? its very kind of u, ill be sure to send u a 'gift' in the mail. on be half of myself i would like to thank everyone that gave cc, i can die happy now... on a darker note: people have a very daluted vision of what 'boring text' is. have u ever looked at a piece of papier that had glowing text?!?! that would be flipping sweet!!!!! but yet people dont see graphic images as art, but more as eyecandy... ill send you (axe) a chocolate bar in the mail kk? you like chocolate right? i dont really like chocolate, to sweet, im more of a salt guy. chewy candy is ok, like skittles and starbursts, but i cant really eat a whole package because i would wnat to toss the potatoes.

i have noticed that some upgrades while building computers are free. mainly in the memory section i see upgrades from 256MB DDR SDRAM (1x256MB) to 512MB DDR SDRAM (2x256MB). one thing about hardware ive never messed wtih is RAM, all my computers have been at or around 256mb and thats always been fast enough for me. so could someone explain a to me the difference between having 1 512 and have 2 256s?

didnt find anything at dell, im checking out hp now
-
price range:$600-751.50 im looking at purchasing a laptop. it should be nice but it dosnt need to be able to play like doom 3 or anything. dvd rom, wireless interent. 3d accelator card good enough to play games like morrowind and halo, but if that makes the cost of the laptop to high i dont need it. this isnt going to be a gaming laptop. i have checked some sites (gateway, tishoba, alienware.) im checking dell out right now, even though i really dont want a dell. so could u help me find what im looking for? have any advice on laptop purchasing? and ive also checked out ebay.
