I went to adjust the brightness within the game through its options menu. after I exited the game I noticed my very fine tuned monitor was brighter than usual, I proceeded to spend the next 45min re-calibrating my monitor. just a word of warning, don't use the in-game gamma correction unless you want your computers overall calibration to be messed.- Looking for a program that can...
Just a simple request. Anyone know of a good program that would act as a 'to-do' list that either sits in taskbar/desktop and also reminds me of impending situations? any recommendations would be appreciated thanks.- Best Bassist ever

I don't think selfishness is a necessary pre-requisite for higher order species, and in fact we're probably the only species which has evolved genuine altruistic tendencies. If anything i'd say we're moving towards a more global, altruistic community, although it will take time. I don't see why intelligent extra-terrestrials would be cruel, selfish and manipulative, viewing the Earth as a big experiment. And I'd be willing to bet the corollary is true. I think if we could travel to other planets we'd go in peace. Another point, if they are sufficiently advanced to travel across vast regions of space presumably relatively quickly, don't you think they might be slightly better at avoiding detection should they wish to? Either way, it doesn't fit. they could our could not want to destroy us, if they are advance enough what would it matter if they destroyed us and 'harvested' us for their benefit in one way or the other.- aliens/ghost
they could just as well be meteorites burning in the atmosphere... alot of them explode as soon as they hit the atmosphere, shooting multiple projectiles out that look the same.- aliens/ghost
