  1. Of course I would never say that the players are awful. That's both ignorant and a horrible overgeneralization. Sure there might be some awful players, but that's no reason to say that all or most players in RS are bad.
  2. Back a couple of years back I avoided using the summoning skill entirely because I thought that the summoning skill was a ripoff of Pokémon. Needless to say I was an ignorant moron back then, and sure am glad I no longer am in that mindset. But anyway, the summoning skill was introduced a long time ago. The style in combat has changed since then. Back in the day it was worth using the summoning skill to make these annoying dogs in the Brimhaven Dungeon leave me the heck alone. But now that they are no longer agressive I don't have to worry about them anymore. I'm not sure if the summoning skill is worth using nowadays, so I ask, is it too late to start training that skill? I wanna give it a shot. Which is something I should have done a long time ago, but like I said I was an ignorant moron which is why I didn't train the skill before. If you're wondering what summoning items I have, all I have really are 275 gold charms. Yes I fight monsters, but I avoided picking their charms because like I said I was in an ignorant mindset. I got rid of all the spirit emeralds and stuff like that as well. I hope you guys can help me out. I know I can easily just read the guide, but I want advise on exactly what I'm referring to. Thanks for your time.
  3. Emre_RS, thanks. Alright, now I'm done fighting barbarians, yeah they aren't worth fighting much. It takes over 1,000 kills to get something stuff worth 100K coins in total even counting the treasure trails. But I'm happy regardless because I don't kill monsters for the money, I do it because I enjoy it. Anyway, I wanna fight 450 blue dragons, which I will, but first I'm gonna take a quick break to introduce myself to the summoning skill. [hide]Blue dragons killed:450/450 (450) I killed 450 blue dragons and got the following drops: 25759 Coins 315 Nature runes 102 Green charms 10 Basses 5 Uncut sapphires 9 Steel battleaxes 2700 Water runes 43 Gold charms 50 Crimson charms 7 Grimy harralanders 6 Steel platelegs 8 Adamantite ores 7 Mithril spears 13 Grimy guams 7 Blue charms 8 Grimy marrentill 39 Law runes 6 Uncut emeralds 9 Mithril hatchets 3 Rune daggers 3 Grimy cadantines 2 Grimy ranarrs 4 Mithril kiteshields 5 Grimy tarromins 2 Grimy avantoes 6 Clue scrolls(hard) 2 Grimy irits 259 Fire runes 2 Spirit emeralds 6 Adamant full helms Grimy kwuarm 2 Grimy dwarf weeds Rune crossbow I got the following levels: 8-22 Summoning 74 Prayer 45 Farming 81 Ranged I pickpocketed 5802 knights. From the treauser trails I got the following items: Amulet of power* Diamond ring* Blue d'hide body* Blue d'hide vambraces* 2 Rune full helms* 3 Blue d'hide chaps* 2 Fire battlestaffs* Black d'hide chaps 39 Lobsters 2 Magic shortbows 4 Pollnivneach teleports Rune warhammer* 421 Coins 45 Death runes Magic shortbow 43 Blood runes Rune full helm Rune pickaxe 6 Phoenix lair teleports 86 Earth runes 28 Runite bolts Rune platelegs Willow composite 70 Nature runes 60 Air runes 89 Law runes 10 Purple sweets 2 Rune platebodies 14 Biscuits [/hide]
  4. About that, I really think it's important to find a job that you like, and find enough time to do what you enjoy doing with your life. I think enjoying life should be number one priority no matter how old you are. Yeah, doing something like cleaning up clothes and putting plates into the dishwasher is important. And making yourself food is important as well. But that stuff usually takes a few minutes (except making food which can take over an hour) anybody should give him/herself some time to do what they enjoy doing.
  5. Let's say I'm holding dragon battleaxe in one hand and a dragon mace in another. They both have totally different attacking style. What style of melee will be used in that case?
  6. In my opinion, you're never "too old" for anything. Anybody who says that you're too old for something is just an elititist who thinks being an adult means you have to like certain things, which is far from the truth. I do find killing monsters and claiming their drops to be fun, and I will keep finding it fun for years to come. It's nice being able to kill monsters.
  7. I don't remember the exact year, but I think it was in 2004. But I do remember how I was first introduced. Back when I was a kid (ot teenager) I used to use that program a lot called RealArcade. I stopped using it because I lost interest. Anyway, that program is what I think introduced me to RuneScape. And when I wanted to play more of it, I sent money through mail to Jagex. The reason I did that is because I didn't get my own credit card until I was 18. After I got my own credit card, I used that to pay membership for RuneScape, and I still do just that.
  8. I'm gonna have to admit that's actually a very good reason. True, but still. I can't think of any fantasy world where most people are so hostile. Besides Gielinor I mean. No, I don't expect everyone to be nice, but I still find the world horrible if the majority of the people there are so hostile.
  9. Well, I wasn't saying that all of them all. In fact I acknowledge that nice NPC's exist in the game, in fact there are many of them. But still most of them do seem angry all the time, almost like they have anger issues.
  10. I decided to come back to this community, because why not? Yeah, sure I might have had some bad reputation a couple of years back, but this is a public message board, and I really don't mind negative feedback. Anyway, one thing I couldn't have but to notice is the fact that far too many people in Gielinor seem very hostile towards the player. When you talk to the ogres, they talk trash about humans, the barbarians in barbarian village don't like the player, that guy near that cliff close to the tenting place east of Relekka doesn't like when I jump to that tenting place, and I could go on and on. Why are most NPCs so hostile towards the player? And it's not just that, even during dialog, the player is hostile towards some people. There are many fantasy worlds that would be great to live in, but I would never wanna live in Gielinor because of how hostile everyone is. Even the followers of Saradomin, which is supposed to be the good god, are that way.
  11. Wait a minute, isn't the fact that you can get an item wortth a lot of money without doing anytinng and free EXP broken already? Well, granted, you only get the extra EXP when training the skill, but it still doubles it with those shooting stars.
  12. This is a minor annoyance, but I feel like I need to address it. Sometimes I only want items usable for smithing from there. I could easily just gather them myself by mining, killing monsters, and stuff like that, that's the reason it's a minor annoyance. But it's still bothering me a little bit. What's the point of the freeze key feature if I can only freeze 10 skills at a time? In that case I'm not using it at all.
  13. I apologize I was being dumb. I have no idea how I overlooked that.
  14. Actually I did look up elder logs on the RuneScape wiki, and surprisingly I found no mention of the bows.
  15. Well, it's hard to ignore it when it's in PLAIN SIGHT in the chatbox in different color than the rest of the text there.
  16. I don't care about it, at all. Not in the slightest. I just wanna mind my own business doing what I do in the game for fun. So is any way to turn this thing off?
  17. It's alright, nechyaerls are still great to fight and most of the seeds they drop is worth a lot. Again thanks for the help guys, I will give these monsters other than the abyssal demons you guys suggested a chance some time.
  18. I noticed elder trees, something I haven't noticed before. And I thought that maybe the bows I can make out of the logs have even bigger high alchemy value than magic shieldbows. So I ask, what bows do I make out of them?
  19. Alright, I apprecieate you guys suggesting abyssal demons, but there is one problem. I don't have 85 slayer yet, so I can't fight them even if I wanted to.
  20. I'm referring to without having to use a bunch of prayer potions, and can just fight at least 20 of with just sharks/lobsters. I used to in the past melee red dragons and greater demons a lot, but they aren't worth meleeing anymore since they now use magic. Surprisingly it is ok to do it with nechryaerls. And with fire giants as well. So what other monsters are worth fighting with melee? By great drops I mean at least one rune or dragon item which is dropped often enough. Or a hard clue scroll, thank you.
  21. Albel, yep I'm still playing the game, because I find it a lot of fun to fight monsters and claim whatever they drop. And thanks. Anyway I finished battling bronze dragons and yeah their drops are pretty bad. Even al-kharid warriors have better drops. Ok maybe that was a bit of an exagguration, but still red dragons are better monsters to fight. Anyway off to barbarian village and fight barbarians. And after that I'll fight blue dragons. [hide]I killed 1750 barbarians and got the following drops: 10594 Coins 560 Bronze arrows 4 Staffs 77 Iron hatchets 177 Chaos runes 5 Bronze hatchets 171 Earth runes 290 Mind runes 12 Clue scrolls (easy) 296 Iron arrows 45 Bronze battleaxes 8 Beers 181 Fire runes 16 Amulet moulds 17 Bear furs 23 Tin ores 9 Iron maces 13 Cooked meats 11 Fliers 3 Uncut sapphires Ring mould 14 Law runes Phoenix lair teleport From the treasure trails I got the following items: Black 2h sword 3 Tai Bwo Wannai Teleports 10 Trouts Saradomin page 3 128 Coins Sapphire ring* Yellow flowers* 3 Leather chaps* Studded body 27 Fetch casket scrolls 2 Bronze platelgs* 2 Steel pickaxe* 2 Steel helms* 2 Steel full helms* 2 Steel platebodies* 2 Iron plateskirts* 4 Black platelegs (1*) 2 Pollnivneach teleports Emerald ring* Wood camo top* Tiara* Sapphire amulet* Bronze chainbody* 152 Fire runes Black platelegs (h2) 2 Black crossbows Gold ring* Steel mace* 24 Saradomin arrows Hard leather body* Bronze hatchet* 45 Body runes 36 Guthix arrows 40 Black bolts 39 Earth runes 4 Tai bwo wannai teleports Air talisman 10 Chaos runes 3 Miscellania teleports Iron kiteshield* Steel longsword* Studded chaps Holy symbol* Leather vambraces* Iron warhammer* 73 Mind runes 3 Purple sweets * means I needed this to finish the trail. I got the following levels: 96 Defense 7 Summoning 93 Magic I pickpocketed 932 knights.[/hide]
  22. Well, I still love fighting red dragons, and what's even better is that killing them was made even easier. Hell yeah that's awesome. =D I don't fight monsters for challenge anyway, I fight them for the great treasure they drop. But next time I'm fighting bronze dragons again, that shouldn't take too long. [hide]I killed 100 bronze dragons and got the following drops: 11637 Coins 33 Mithril bolts 150 Adamant javelins 50 Death runes 450 Fire runes 45 Blood runes Uncut sapphire 6 Rune knives 48 Adamant darts Uncut ruby 2 Adamant bars 20 Law runes 3 Mithril battleaxes 4 Mithril 2h swords 3 Mithril hatchets 4 Swordfish Rune longsword Mithril kiteshield I pickpocketed 216 knights. [/hide]
  23. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Thankfully I have more than enough antifire potions in my bank, if you say I'll be fine I trust you. Alright, I'll head to fight red dragons soon.
  24. But I thought that antifire potions ONLY worked with antidragon shield. Or at least that's the way it was in the past, has that changed?
