I forgot to mention: Your combat level is your percentage chance of being a jerk. I.E., lvl 89 players have an 89% chance of being jerks. As for people over lvl 100 combat, how does that apply, you ask? The number of combat levels you have OVER 100 indicates the percentage chance that your aura of jerk-ness will cause people around you to become jerks. For example, a level 110 player has a 100% chance of being a jerk and a 10% chance of rubbing off on other players and making them jerks as well, regardless of their combat levels. So make sure you stay away from lvl 126 players, kids. They have better than a 1/4th chance of making YOU a jerk too.

The reason there will never be pure yews are because f2p has no use for the yews besides cutting them and selling to members or burning them. They'll either keep the yews the same, or make yew cutting members only, which would make very very very many people angry.

I seriously can't tell if people are joking in the same way that I'm joking and i'm misinterpreting them. I don't think its possible for this many people not to get the joke.

If I'm getting mugged and stabbed, clearly I should not have been out in anything but broad daylight with police officers sorrounding me at every step. Your argument is only true if one's own behavior is the infringement upon another person, not being infringed upon. It's up to the attacker to not sexually assault the victim, not the victim to stop being pretty. This was all fun and jokes, but your arguments are making me legitimately angry. If you are being mugged and robbed constantly, you are in a bad neighborhood. The premise of your argument is that something was so bad they had to change the way they play just to avoid it, and that's why they have their chat set the way they do. And if you say that and that alone is your argument, that's fine, and I can pretty much agree. But it's not. In only one of your cases have you offered this as the plausible explanation for the behavior. I've already responded to what constitutes as playing in the spirit of the game. But my stance is that if your experience with other people in RS is that godawfully terrible that you have to walk around with all your filters on, it would have a lot of merit to consider choosing another game. My final stance is that there's reasons why people can put filters on, and its wrong to JUDGE them for it. Who gives a care if they play the way they play? If they enjoy it and it doesn't infringe on other people's enjoyment of the game, then let them. The spirit of the game argument has always been ridiculous. Its ambiguous and vague, and plenty of people get jacked in other games because they didn't follow "the spirit of the game". Personally, I'm starved for people to hang out with in the game. I only enjoy it if I can have fun and intelligent chats with people, or better yet, do stuff together (like quests or kq teaming or whatever). I think that we can put this whole debate to rest. Again, why is it so hard to read my entire story before you post? Is it really that hard to figure out that it's a funny story about someone else saying something dumb? I have read it.
