  1. They did. The rare wheel contains all the rare drops shared by multiple NPCs. So everything monster-specific is somewhere else.
  2. I'm glad this was written. I had been kicking myself for wearing a ring of life at solo Saradomin and getting teeth halves. It's nice to know that wearing a ring of wealth wouldn't have mattered.
  3. Untrue. If you read more carefully, it states that the ROW simply improves your drops IF you hit the rare drop table by eliminating blank spaces. If you've hit the rare table, you've already missed out on the exclusive table (armadyl hilt, abyssal whip). So there's no reason not to wear a ring of wealth at most basic NPCs. Only with bosses does it make more sense to have a ring of life or a ring with combat bonuses.
  4. Just replace the gear with ahrim/infinity top/bottom and the other slots with prayer bonuses. http://forum.tip.it/topic/247101-190kh-range-xp-with-profit-chinning-nechryaels/
  5. Still working this guide? Didn't see mention about the penance horns, but it would be a good addition.
  6. A quick bump. Thanks for the guide, extremely helpful. Smoke runes are also currently 210 and likely to continue increasing in price thanks to today's addition of fire surge, which requires 10 fire and 7 air, which is close enough to the 1-1 ratio that I think they'll keep rising. Also, I looked at both spreadsheets and they were broken for me?
  7. Unfair? Last I checked, the champions challenge was voluntary. There's absolutely nothing wrong with having a minigame where the reward is pure bragging rights for being stubborn enough to get every scroll, as long as you know what you're getting into (which we do). There's also zero reason why the champions challenge HAS to have a reward besides the imp- all runescape players need at the minimum is a way to prove to everyone else that they did (insert challenge). The minigame just came out with all the reward necessary- proof of accomplishment. The GWD comparison doesn't hold water because the gear is buyable. I don't HAVE to go to GWD to get the rewards- I can save up money from slayer (or any other activity that generates income) to get the items I want.

  9. Randolph not sucking was about as likely as me posterizing Dwight Howard in a 1-on-1.
  10. Gloves of silence: a huge help with phoenix feathers
  11. I always thought they were vulnerable to crush attacks, so wouldn't a SS be better? Stab, actually. I z speared a mithril dragon task a week ago. Dangerous, but absolutely insane how fast I ripped them apart with stab and piety. Can't imagine what I'll be able to do to iron dragons now. <moot point> Also, even if it was actually crush, a z spear would still be better than the sword because of a mith dragon's defense and the much better accuracy with a spear. </moot point> The question now is- Godsword or whip/defender against the kbd? I'm guessing DPS with the whip defender will still outkick the godsword by a fair amount.
  12. Oh man....z-spearing metal dragon tasks.... *drool*
  13. So who wants to volunteer to make subBlack? I think I even have 58 cents left in my paypal account that I can pay with.
  14. You pretty much answered your own question here- there's so many skills that need updates that it'll be more than years before they could legitimately get to summoning.

  16. The problem isn't having too much money, the problem is caring so much about money that you never spend it or do anything but whatever it takes to get more.
  17. I heard somewhere that due to the new movement mechanics that the dagannoth can't be trapped behind the torch anymore. Anyone have any confirmation?
  18. Sweet mercy, they're finally going to explain exactly how the ring of wealth works.
  19. Yep. The cost of claws seems about right, actually. Given the fact that they're ONLY used for the special and in incredibly narrow circumstances, 33m almost seems overpriced.
  20. I am well intentioned. How about you tell us how it could be done better, then? I'd be glad to, buddy! 1) Stop tooting your own "look ma I know how to code" horn by yapping about writing your own forum software because this forum is run by a bunch of volunteers who get paid as much for their hard work as I do to tell you you're an idiot. The fact that they are volunteers (many of whom don't even play Runescape anymore and don't have that link to the forum) means that it is of course a great and feasible idea for them to simply use prewritten forum software. 2) Your nerd rage arguments about how self-written software is much more secure and better organized and blah blah I think I'm going into a coma, right here we go again are also irrelevant because of the nature of the situation- a bunch of volunteers, a not-for-profit forum, the fact that the forum software is prewritten, and the (i'm guessing) insane amount of work that would be required in creating your own board from scratch 3) I'm not normally one of those chumps who thinks that hypocrisy dilutes the strength of the message, but in your case, with a forum that is pretty much an exact clone of tip.it's (right down to the use of phpBB) stinks of "do as I say, not as I do." If your sorry [wagon] is "too lazy" to even create a website that doesn't break every time someone uses it, the idea of you telling everyone here to do the incredible amount of work in writing forum software is nearly funny enough to make me shatter a rib bone. How about instead of giving us your condescending opinion disguised as "constructive criticism" you go write your own strongly-typed forum software and prove us all morons?
  21. I smell someone so desperate to let everyone know how smart he is regarding coding that he'll offer his irrelevant and useless opinion while describing it as "constructive criticism" and then tell everyone he's writing an article which is labeled as "more constructive criticism" when in reality that article is nothing more than a giant sign that screams "LOOK! I KNOW STUFF ABOUT CODING! I SHALL PROVE IT BY TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT THEIR OWN FLAWS, WHICH IN TURN MAKES ME LOOK BETTER! ADMIRE MEEEEEEEEE!" Oh, I also happen to smell someone who is so desperate for the aforementioned attention that he'll even start his own site with a color scheme patterned directly on tip.it's. My god, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd rather have devnull in forum updates and suggestions than this chucklehead. At least he was well-intentioned.
  22. The click lag is killing me. Bank screen, magic tab, everything.
