events/trips forum??
What problems happened? A forum for what functionally are classified ads would be good, it would really help in forming teams/partners/whatever.

Wanted a PS3? Tough.
flaws are inevitable in this generation of consoles- each of them has enormous pressures to get out fast, with great games, and no problems. If you wanted a really dependable ps3, I'd wait a few generations. But they're definitely going to get whacked by the 360 in the North American holiday shopping market.

Am I the oldest Player??
I'd definitely say those above 18 are the best friends to have on rs. I'm only a youngster at 20, but always looking for more friends older than me. rsn: chrisH1403

how to skip a slayer task? =/
If you got that task from any slayer master besides the burthorpe slayer master, you can go to the burthorpe master to get an easier task. Wrong forum, btw- questions go to help and advice.

The top 5 PC Worlds?
Despite the fact that you will definitely not be liked, there will likely be a few other 70+ people there doing the same thing as you. Your only chance is to world hop, clans like heart returns hop around often and are pretty good about not telling anyone.

Did you pass your driving test 1st time?
Where do you need a bike license? Rofl, if you fail your bike test, you need to ride with training wheels until you pass? I think when he says bike he means motorcycle.

I guess that means there's no reason not to drop a few nukes on brisbane either then.

New Lure? Watch out!
theres an ever-so-slightly trickier lure where someone selling something tells you they're wcing east of edgeville. When you get there, the guy is standing right north of a tree, forcing you to move to his left or right to trade with him, and putting you in the wildy. And there's no one else on the minimap, so my guess is that the guy ventrilos or teamspeaks another fella in to log in and kill you.

NMD is a miserable failure- we probably couldn't even stop them if they floated the nuke over on a blimp. I think a problem with many of the people that post in this thread is that exactly none of them realize the implications of their "lets just bomb the hell out of them" ideas. Are you really so clueless as to realize that those decisions KILL other people? Then again, I guess if its not Americans dying, it doesn't matter. Heck, not even Americans dying. 2 thousand+ soldiers dead in Iraq, and it's still YEAH LETS BOMB FTW. Next time, don't be so flippant about toying with OTHER people's lives.

Range&Prayer Training: Skogre/Zogre Coffin Guide
Mmm a couple extra notes- 1) Lockpicking the safes is hard enough to make a lvl 99 thief tear his hair out in frustration- stick with ranging for keys 2) Always bury skogre bones right when you get them and don't wait until you have alot and bury them in the row. If you do, there is a chance you'll spawn multiple zogres/skogres who are sitting there waiting for you to run out and collect your brutals/keys, and will likely get a hit on you and poison you. 3) Dueling rings ftw

Opinions on Iran policy-wise
I think that by now it is clear what happens if an entire country decides to dance with Israel- they get torched. Israel, pound for pound, is the most dangerous country on the planet to mess with. And in the end, I can say that Iran is not dumb enough to even consider the idea of nuking Iran, seeing as how the reaction from Israel and the rest of the world would cause Iran to cease to exist as anything more than a giant parking lot. I guess this could potentially end up being a moot point- after all, Israel used air strikes to stop Iraq from gaining nuclear tech, so they might do it again against Iran, even if it means a conventional war that they might not win. The question could very well become, how the heck do we stop Israel from going beserk about extending their security beyond their borders?

Yes, its slightly annoying
Well I'm using a high speed connection right now, I dunno why it just crapped out on me. Anyways, at some point I still gotta get like 34 alchemy points if someone wants to join me, I discovered its faster with a couple people racing around to get to the right drawer.

Yes, its slightly annoying
xevocm8velexx, that was easily one of the most incoherent statements I've ever read in my life. But restarting my computer seems to have solved the dc-every-5-minutes problem.

Yes, its slightly annoying
Actually, the hilarious part was that I planned on depositing coins every 2k coins i got so that I could minimize coin loss, but got disconnected as I was walking towards the deposit slot. :wall:

Yes, its slightly annoying
To be alching in the mage training arena and have a disconnect when you've gotten 6k coins.....and then disconnect again when you've gotten 2k. Ouch. Looks like bones to peaches is gonna take a bit longer than I though. I guess I can take consolation in at least still having gotten the xp for alching

Prolif- good or bad?
Actually Oy, I'd say that if professional terrorists hadn't managed to get their hands on and use a nuclear weapon by now, I'd say it probably wouldn't happen very easily in the future. Remember, Russia's nuclear security is MISERABLE. You could probably bribe the one guy guarding all the nukes with a bottle of Stoli and walk off with a couple nukes. And as for nuclear umbrellas, I'd say they were definitely best for keeping one warm and dry.

Opinions on Iran policy-wise
We're getting a bit off topic- we need to be discussing the best approach to dealing with Iran at the moment. Currently, Iran is heading to Europe to call for more talks. There's a general sentiment that neither an invasion nor sanctions will be fortchoming very soon. And another question for you folks- what happens if Iran gets nukes? What would other Middle East countries believe? Additionally, I can't imagine that Israel would be very pleased with the first muslim nation (in the middle east, excepting Pakistan), getting nuclear weapons. And to those of you that are war-hawking for immediate assault, you need to understand the power Iran currently has on the world stage. Not only are they pursuing nuclear technology, their massive oil supplies and trade relations with Russia and China give them tremendous leverage. Its not just the muslim world that would be very very angry if we made a pre-emptive strike. As for those who want to continue discussing nuclear technology, I point you towards the "prolif good or bad" thread. Oh yeah, Bush is currently pushing hard for China and Russia to move forward with sanctions, although I doubt that'll happen soon.

Prolif- good or bad?
All the people who's lives and livelihoods depend on nuclear power would probably say otherwise.
-
Prolif- good or bad?
I think that only the most unrealistic human being in the world would say that nuclear weapons ever have a chance of being eradicated from the earth. Besides, this topic is based on the assumption that nukes will exist, the question is whether or not the spread of nuclear tech is a good thing.

Opinions on Iran policy-wise
Actually, Tigra: Hydrogen power is completely unfeasible because of the amount of energy required to break down water molecules (the main source of hydrogen energy) and compress it costs more energy than it actually gives off. To get that energy, we have to either burn fossil fuels (global warming = extinction) or, well, burn oil. Additionally, liquid hydrogen is colder than liquid nitrogen, nearly as cold as liquid helium. Creating it would cost, well, even more energy. The only real way to get a net-profit in power is from the original source of all the energy on earth- the sun, either through solar power, wind power, what have you. And as long as you're generating electricity from solar power, there's no point to waste energy producing liquid hydrogen, you might as well just use electric cars. The solution behind all this lies in nanotechnology- carbon tubules that can carry electricity for hundreds of miles without generating excess heat (which causes power to be lost), which is the only reason why we haven't covered a useless state like Nevada with solar panels to power the country. And the reason there's no conspiracy of oil companies to prevent things like hydrogen power is because they don't need to- Americans and the rest of the world are too dumb to realize the dangers of continued oil dependence. Why try to blind the masses when they're already walking around with their heads buried in their behinds?

Prolif- good or bad?
I made this topic because I was curious about other people's opinions on nuclear proliferation and I didn't want to muck up my thread about Iran. So, to sum things up for those who don't know what I'm talking about: Nuclear proliferation is the concept of the spread of nuclear weapons to multiple nations. There are two kinds of prolif(eration): Vertical prolif, which is where countries get more, longer ranged, and more dangerous nukes, and Horizontal prolif, where it's just the spread of nuclear weapon technology across the world. So my question is what people think about whether horizontal proliferation is good. Spread of nuclear tech dangerous? Or causes everyone to be cautious and less likely to fight?
