it kind of looks like you took a pic of rs and traced it for your char :?
  2. To answer cat, i sortove "cheated" if you will, and used photoshop for that shading, but it still took awhile and thank you for the comment. For flip, i suggest looking up Quer_Skull's pixel tutorial, its pretty nice i have read it and i think you would benifit greatly from it, i dont really know how to describe shading myself other then its one of the most time straining parts of the sig. Anybody have the link for the tutorial, that would be greatly appriciated.
  3. Well i decided since im prone to not exactly doing CC all the time in "rate this sig!" kind of topics, for pixels mostly, i decided to do this to make up for the whining i have done. Ideas are greatly appreciated and credit will be given. LINKS: Gimp: http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html Project dog Waffle: http://www.squirreldome.com/cyberop.htm Open Canvas: http://www.hamiltondraws.com/?link=44 BEFORE YOU READ: If you have any tutorials, please submit them and i will edit this post to fit them :) This tip for pixeling is incomplete and will be updated whenever ideas are submitted. If your loooking for a tutorial then read no furthur and check out Quer_Skulls topic about that: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=82865 http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=207 ... l+tutorial Some Text Tips: - Try and expand your horizons and download fonts from Fontfreek.com or Dafont.com - Put a name or stats in a corner whenever possible, it gets out of the way of the sig so you can see its beauty. - Avoid putting more than one stat or quote on a sig, it gets crammed and, what i like to call, bleh. - Sometimes Anti-Alias (AA) is not always the best thing, so dont be afraid to remove it. Some Shading Tips: - While shading, dont just do a line by line by line, get out the pencil tool and bend to your sigs needs. - Take your time and try to avoid thick line shading (unless its your style of course.) - When doing 'shine' (the white spots) try not to put it away from the light and make the shading blend to it. - to obtain a kind of metalic effect, you need to stick to light colors while shading near a light source. (as in a lighter shade of that color) - to do clothing wrinkles, just draw lines and edit the outline, then start with a dark color where the light source is pointing to on that wrinkle. (darker behind the wrinkle) - if your just starting out, then i suggest using one line shading, and progress from there (there is only a darkest point and lightest point in this style) Sig Touch Ups: - If you have Photoshop, then add the text onto the sig from there, then go to filter, then Emboss. this will rise the text to give a 3d effect, then go over it while selecting the brush tool (but while the brush tool is selected make sure you set it to multiply or screen) then brush over it and it will look good - Animation should be used sparingly so the file size isnt too big and the sig isnt to cramped. - If you have a hard time doing the ground or sky, use gradients for the sky and brushing for the ground. Taking the Heat of CC: - if somebody flames you, either ignore them or kindly tell them they are not helping you to make your sig better, in this case the flamers post would be spam. - NEVER POST A SIG IF YOU DONT THINK ITS GOOD YOURSELF. - Some people can be harsh but provide critical help for your signature and can help you. - Never flame a CC'r - Dont ignore CC'rs, ignore flamers. - If you cant handle what people have to say about your signature, then simply either, dont post it anymore, dont do it anymore, get better. Contributed information: - shading has to go true shapes and depth, you'll have to study how basic shapes go with different lightnings. for other shapes i will say look around and just when your looking at a object look at how light interacts with it, thats a pretty fine way to get good shading. its how i learned moste of shading. My last thing to say is, Do your best. Credits: Thank you Quer_Skull for the advice Thank you tttia for the links.
  4. why should i read something that has been said over and over and over and over and overand overand over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Because perhaps we arn't ranting about pixel sigs? oh, then i have no interest whatsoever in the conversation.
  5. why should i read something that has been said over and over and over and over and overand overand over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
  6. Well i think im going to go ask a mod if this should be closed because this is just going to be another one of those 10000000 page long things about Anti Pixel.
  7. Yeah right on. i dont know how people can read like 4 pages of these 5 paragraph long, "essays" if you will... lol i certainly can't only because i dont understand half of it...
  8. once again you have succeded chicken. nice job :)
  9. Try putting the name all the way in a corner, you should limit stats to only like 2 , but corners are always a good place to put text.
  10. Dang i need to download that thing if it has animation :o
  11. Hey whats with the hostile appearence? dont make me get my dragon bazooka on you! 8)
  12. Its awesome but im not such a fan of that text or where its placed...
  13. lol * its stoked get him put him in pixel hell! yeah and its full with Despaxes sigs lol jk. or it could be filled with my photoshop sigs...
  14. i would like to know your definition of decent :)
  15. Well do you just expect us to stop doing pixels? for crying outloud dont you think people have said something about this before? if you think you can stop us pixeling i have one thing to say: Ha. Now onto the whole "3 year old" junk. It takes much more concentration and effort to make a pixel sig, im sure you wouldnt be able to make a decent one, and NOBODY at my school can make a decent pixel drawing or sig. Once again: Ha.

since i dont play warcraft 3, i could be wrong but, unless he didnt do the moon and 'clouds' or that fog effect then i'd have to say your wrong... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- :?
  17. well nice job on the BG (background) it works, but the problem i have is the lack of emotion of those people, like godslayer said. so just like make the dragon guy half off the ground with his arms forward to make a thrown back motion.
  18. the stairs dont look like they are going up, but more like into the grass. try to shade the grass in a way that makes it look like there are two levels. also black text does not work with brown or green, you need something like red or white. flowers and stuffs should be added to that blank space over there, i dunno just a suggestion, because you can balance lack of shading with detail.
  19. I dont really like the text, the wavy effect just kills it. but everything else is cool, nice job.
  20. Hello there! havent seen you in forever, i dunno if you know me but i've seen a few pieces of your work. Very nice, welcome back.
  21. oh yeah, shows how much i pay attention in class :P
  22. yes, you could atleast make the wings HUGE to make up for the big body.
  23. MISTERX YOUR NAME IS XAVIER?!?!?!?!?!?!?! dude thats my name!
