  1. Mutated jadinkos, even the baby ones, have a fairly decent drop table, and the herbs are noted, which makes it easier for you to handle (there's still a deposit box at surface level if you do need to bank). If you need food, turning in the points for fruit helps, although I've noticed that the jadinkos themselves will drop a few occasionally. Having soul split definitely helps. Bring Excalibur and unicorn if you're worried about combination hits, and you should be okay. :) Like Enaid said, rapier works well and quickly against them, or use sagaies to range them. :) It is considered a tedious task for some, but with the money gained, I personally think it's worth it, slow as it can be. :P I do recommend playing in low detail to get the seeds they drop since it tends to blend in with the ground in high detail. >.<
  2. Personally I get annoyed when the f-bomb gets thrown around so casually, even when the situation isn't that emotional. Plus I haven't seen too much being censored while trekking through the boards to begin with anyway. o.o
  3. Hi there and welcome to the Tip.it community! Thanks for letting us now. :) We'll be working on that and getting that fixed in a jiffy. Could you please tell us how would you like to be credited for this correction? Thanks again and looking forward to hearing from you again soon! :D
  4. You know, they did say the cape was going to be dark red, and I highly doubt they're going to re-use the designs from the 5 year cape. That's just tacky.
  5. To be honest, I would like to see a bigger range of colours for hair and more hair styles, as well as some more clothes for general makeovers. =X New quest feels a bit underwhelming for some reason. Hope it brings surprises! :) Gielenor games: well, fitting considering the Olympics are coming up. 10-Year-Veteran Cape: I'm well into my 11th year of RuneScape so... XD Duo Slayer: Should be fun. :D I can definitely see people going to DKs together more to finish dagannoth tasks. Tons of cannons for aberrant spectres woo...! XD SoF: :< As if we don't have enough costume pieces and cosmetic items to worry about. Inb4new"rare"item.
  6. The team that handles the BTS specifically probably doesn't work weekends. *Shrugs* :-? Agility lamp is all I'm looking forward to honestly. Dungeoneering isn't something I want to use any sort of experience rewards on, and neither is thieving at this point since I'm already 99 there. I was sort of hoping for something Olympics related, but I suppose that's too early still. And not hoping in the sense that I want buyable spins to still be around, but in the sense that it would at least go with the stuff that's getting ready to go in London anyway.
  7. You know, I wonder if the solution to all this was simply to have those 2.3k people on RuneScape right now to log off, and things get fixed again. XD (One can dream!)
  8. The ticker may also not be in real time too. And apparently you can still make accounts through the main page, just not through the game itself. *Shrugs*
  9. <3<3<3 Fsm :P. You live in an interesting area (assuming you didn't move) based on your YT video. I have the challenge of living far and between cities, and basically anyone who's interesting. Also, RIP indeed. And Bxp, I see what you did there ;). I had to travel a bit to get to my favorite place just for the video. :P Didn't really matter since I was planning to go out anyway. But commuting into the city sucks, public transportation and driving wise. XD
  10. This is usually my downtime right before I'm getting dinner set up and such anyway. If RuneScape was down for a day, I usually end up reading or watching some old classic movies. :P Or I'd go out, head into the city, and just have some fun window shopping and doing some random sightseeing, or head up to the botanical gardens (despite my allergies). (It's been down for over an hour... RIP!) If RS wasn't down, I'd probably go Dungeoneer or play Flash Powder Factory anyway, per signature.
  11. First I got all excited. Then when I heard the requirements, I got all :( faced. Still, it'll be nice to head back to Ardougne for more than just Penguin Points. :P
  12. Aurhora and I were talking about this earlier. She said it looks like us females have Graves' disease. I think we look like Bratz dolls. *Shudders*
  13. [hide=Spoiler]Yea... the whole resurrection thing was just... I dunno, I feel like that was being thrown around too much too. I've always believed that vampires don't just pass on their curse willy nilly, for lack of better terms, and even the zombie attack just seemed a bit insane. Felt like I was reading a horror film lol.[/hide]
  14. So I spent the last 48 hours or so reading Legacy of Blood and am overall impressed. Admittedly I feel like there were some portions of the story that felt rushed and that Gar'rth's story seems thrown a tad messily together even though the title implied that this particular book would look into his history more. Still, T. S. Church did a great job keeping the thrill in the story, and tied up the one that was built up from Return to Canifis. But in terms of how Tenebra, the Dark Price, was eliminated: it just doesn't seem like a fitting end for him. I wished Gar'rth had put in the final blow like Vanescula wanted, instead of Kara-meir finishing it off for him. But I suppose in some views, if Gar'rth were to eliminate the Dark Prince, it would be viewed as him following Vanescula in addition to aiding his friends and the kingdom of Misthalin. The part that did bother me the most, however, was the romance between Theodore and Lady Anne. Somehow, it just never settled right with me at all. :( It just felt kind of dirty. Castimir and Arisha had their own romance, and I was okay with that, but with Theodore and Lady Anne, I got irritated. She presses herself onto Theodore so hard (no innuendo intended) that I wish I could just reach into the story world and go, "CONFOUND IT WOMAN! CAN'T YOU SEE HOW AWFUL YOU ARE?!" Between Castimir and Arisha, however, I feel like their romance developed in a more natural and sincere way. With Theodore and Lady Anne, it just feels like their love was more out of spite of Kara-meir, just because Theodore's feelings were hurt after hearing Kara-meir's lie about her intimate relationship with Gar'rth and Lady Anne viewing Kara-meir as someone below her. And Sulla's death. Finally. That guy was getting on my nerves with his sleaziness. <_< All the better for a fallen villain who believed up until the end he had some sort of power to exert over others. But somehow, I feel like his ending should've been more. But, it seems like there's still more afoot based on how the ended. But to my surprise, Jagex has announced on Facebook that it's the final book in the trilogy. WHAT?! When was this a trilogy?! But... there's still so many questions! D: WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
  15. I swear I'm not being paid to do this. To be more on topic though, with the little bit I've played so far on the beta, it's going to take some getting used to. I like RuneScape for its simplicity, and didn't like WoW and other games so much because I had to crawl all over the keyboard to mash buttons to attack. :( The moves are quite nifty though.
  16. For those of us who are interested in the look of the armour themselves, the Batwing robes are quite similar to the ones that Vanescula is wearing on the back cover of Legacy of Blood (third RuneScape book). (Sorry, just took the picture on the fly and didn't fix the camera but this should be good enough :P And yea, the lore is messed up it seems... D'oh!)
  17. If they're handing out the Golden Katana just because people turned in the wrong card, that just feels mean and unfair to those of us who did follow the directions. <_< Guess it's now a wait and see game. I'll just run around with my plain katana in the meantime. XD
  18. Actually I just thought of something: A few of us pursued the buy-4-months-for-6-months offer back in December and the offer was made again to those of us who did (announced privately via e-mail, and yes it was legitimate; didn't click on the links and instead went on the RuneScape site and the offer was there for me in the shop). I wonder if it has anything to do with that (assuming you go for the offer). I kind of want to try it, seeing as technically I'd be saving some money, although not much since I have the loyalty rate... O.o' EDIT: Ah heck, I gave it a try anyway. Sorry guys, this isn't the answer to the mystery of how to obtain this magical item! No golden katana! :(
  19. That is actually the same guy as in above picture, won like 1.5b+ from him :P, can't win every single one though. "Oy oy! ... OY OY OY!!!!!!.... OY OY OY OY OY OY!!!!! RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!" O_O' That fight looked ridiculous though lol.
  20. Thankies! Added & Credited. :)
  21. Now that you mention it, that wouldn't surprise me at all, lol. Same here. Shame I didn't want that green skin then haha.
  22. With all the excitement over the Combat Beta coming next week, it seems a little something that was highly promoted before got put back in the shadows. At least, from what I can tell so far. Some of you already know that I've actually gone and purchased the first and second RuneScape novels by T.S. Church, more out of curiosity than interest. And if anyone's taken the time to speak to the various NPCs in game that were mentioned in the book, you'll hear a few tidbits about the squire-later-knighted Theodore Kassel and Kara-Meir, although some of the things they say seem to bode something not good... The third novel to the series, Legacy of Blood, comes out on June 26th, the same day as the Combat Beta!!! (And yes, I did pre-order it on Amazon, and should be getting it on the day of release!) The majority of the rest of this post will be in hide tags so if you haven't read Betrayal at Falador and Return to Canifis, don't read the stuff in the hide tags!!! [spoiler='Minor Spoilers]Betrayal at Falador starts us off on a dark stormy night in Falador, where Squire Theodore discovers Kara-Meir, who appeared very near the castle walls despite wards against teleporting to it thanks to the power of the Ring of Life. Granted, the Ring of Life doesn't do that in game (rather, it'd teleport us closer to the crossroads in Falador), but a bit of creative license is not harmful, and it gives some body to the story. As we progress through the story, we meet Castimir--a young blue wizard in training from the Wizard's Tower south of Draynor, Ebenezer--an elder alchemist who some may call a heretic, Gar'rth--a young man Ebenezer had adopted and the nephew of Jerrod the werewolf, Arisha--the beautiful barbarian priestess, and Doric--yes, the very same Doric residing in the house just east of Taverley and north of Falador! Another character worth mentioning that you can speak to in-game for some possible hints from the novel is Sir Amik Varze. Together, these characters help to build the coming events of the Siege of Falador. You can see the damaged wall and ruins of the old ones along the north side of Falador. If you're into RuneScape lore, this is definitely a nice way of reading into the lore of Falador. However, make sure to keep yourself a bit more flexible on certain things: Adamant is considered to be quite powerful in game as seen in the characters' reactions to Kara-meir's sword, while runite extremely rare and is only mentioned being used to craft a very delicate piece of jewelry that Kara-meir repairs during her test to see if she would lead the dwarves to help save Falador. For those of us who haven't played Classic, adamant at one point was the strongest metal in RuneScape. All in all, I enjoyed the character development, particularly Theodore's and Kara-meir's. Return to Canifis lets us explore a bit more into Gar'rth's past, and some lore of Varrock and the dark lands of Morytania. We learn of the preparations made for the Dark Prince and his people to enter the kingdom of Misthalin, and the price that must be paid to learn of such dark secrets. We also get a view of Varrock's class-system, something not really seen in the game. However, the character development made in Betrayal at Falador seems partly reversed in Return to Canifis, which irritated me in some respects, especially Kara-meir's. Still, it's not a terrible book, but I feel it didn't live up to it's prequel. All in all, I hope Legacy of Blood turns out to be good. I expect we'll learn more about Gar'rth, and how the people in the kingdom of Misthalin prepare themselves for the undead armies to come...
  23. *ENVY!!!* Awesome set of books!
  24. Oh gosh... I can't wait!!! :ohnoes: I think this is gonna put off me getting 99 Agility and reading Legacy of Blood (third RuneScape book comes out this Tuesday too) though. D'oh!
  25. I don't know why but 200 just sounds weird to me. And new players being level 4 just seems icky. >.<! :-? I wonder how the QBD fight will go then since it sounds like we can't switch gear during combat. :-?
