  1. For those of us who are interested in the look of the armour themselves, the Batwing robes are quite similar to the ones that Vanescula is wearing on the back cover of Legacy of Blood (third RuneScape book). (Sorry, just took the picture on the fly and didn't fix the camera but this should be good enough :P And yea, the lore is messed up it seems... D'oh!)
  2. If they're handing out the Golden Katana just because people turned in the wrong card, that just feels mean and unfair to those of us who did follow the directions. <_< Guess it's now a wait and see game. I'll just run around with my plain katana in the meantime. XD
  3. Actually I just thought of something: A few of us pursued the buy-4-months-for-6-months offer back in December and the offer was made again to those of us who did (announced privately via e-mail, and yes it was legitimate; didn't click on the links and instead went on the RuneScape site and the offer was there for me in the shop). I wonder if it has anything to do with that (assuming you go for the offer). I kind of want to try it, seeing as technically I'd be saving some money, although not much since I have the loyalty rate... O.o' EDIT: Ah heck, I gave it a try anyway. Sorry guys, this isn't the answer to the mystery of how to obtain this magical item! No golden katana! :(
  4. That is actually the same guy as in above picture, won like 1.5b+ from him :P, can't win every single one though. "Oy oy! ... OY OY OY!!!!!!.... OY OY OY OY OY OY!!!!! RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!" O_O' That fight looked ridiculous though lol.
  5. Now that you mention it, that wouldn't surprise me at all, lol. Same here. Shame I didn't want that green skin then haha.
  6. 19,500 Brianpoints from Flash Powder Factory and counting...!

  7. Someone's been busy leveling up I see!!! :D

  8. With all the excitement over the Combat Beta coming next week, it seems a little something that was highly promoted before got put back in the shadows. At least, from what I can tell so far. Some of you already know that I've actually gone and purchased the first and second RuneScape novels by T.S. Church, more out of curiosity than interest. And if anyone's taken the time to speak to the various NPCs in game that were mentioned in the book, you'll hear a few tidbits about the squire-later-knighted Theodore Kassel and Kara-Meir, although some of the things they say seem to bode something not good... The third novel to the series, Legacy of Blood, comes out on June 26th, the same day as the Combat Beta!!! (And yes, I did pre-order it on Amazon, and should be getting it on the day of release!) The majority of the rest of this post will be in hide tags so if you haven't read Betrayal at Falador and Return to Canifis, don't read the stuff in the hide tags!!! [spoiler='Minor Spoilers]Betrayal at Falador starts us off on a dark stormy night in Falador, where Squire Theodore discovers Kara-Meir, who appeared very near the castle walls despite wards against teleporting to it thanks to the power of the Ring of Life. Granted, the Ring of Life doesn't do that in game (rather, it'd teleport us closer to the crossroads in Falador), but a bit of creative license is not harmful, and it gives some body to the story. As we progress through the story, we meet Castimir--a young blue wizard in training from the Wizard's Tower south of Draynor, Ebenezer--an elder alchemist who some may call a heretic, Gar'rth--a young man Ebenezer had adopted and the nephew of Jerrod the werewolf, Arisha--the beautiful barbarian priestess, and Doric--yes, the very same Doric residing in the house just east of Taverley and north of Falador! Another character worth mentioning that you can speak to in-game for some possible hints from the novel is Sir Amik Varze. Together, these characters help to build the coming events of the Siege of Falador. You can see the damaged wall and ruins of the old ones along the north side of Falador. If you're into RuneScape lore, this is definitely a nice way of reading into the lore of Falador. However, make sure to keep yourself a bit more flexible on certain things: Adamant is considered to be quite powerful in game as seen in the characters' reactions to Kara-meir's sword, while runite extremely rare and is only mentioned being used to craft a very delicate piece of jewelry that Kara-meir repairs during her test to see if she would lead the dwarves to help save Falador. For those of us who haven't played Classic, adamant at one point was the strongest metal in RuneScape. All in all, I enjoyed the character development, particularly Theodore's and Kara-meir's. Return to Canifis lets us explore a bit more into Gar'rth's past, and some lore of Varrock and the dark lands of Morytania. We learn of the preparations made for the Dark Prince and his people to enter the kingdom of Misthalin, and the price that must be paid to learn of such dark secrets. We also get a view of Varrock's class-system, something not really seen in the game. However, the character development made in Betrayal at Falador seems partly reversed in Return to Canifis, which irritated me in some respects, especially Kara-meir's. Still, it's not a terrible book, but I feel it didn't live up to it's prequel. All in all, I hope Legacy of Blood turns out to be good. I expect we'll learn more about Gar'rth, and how the people in the kingdom of Misthalin prepare themselves for the undead armies to come...
  9. *ENVY!!!* Awesome set of books!
  10. Oh gosh... I can't wait!!! :ohnoes: I think this is gonna put off me getting 99 Agility and reading Legacy of Blood (third RuneScape book comes out this Tuesday too) though. D'oh!
  11. I don't know why but 200 just sounds weird to me. And new players being level 4 just seems icky. >.<! :-? I wonder how the QBD fight will go then since it sounds like we can't switch gear during combat. :-?
  12. I was so excited I forgot to screenshot... and post this screenshot that Taylor/Rizhou/Get Under Me was so kind to provide until now: Rest in peace, Celestial surge box. So again, Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! <3
  13. Working on getting 99 Agility via Flash Powder Factory finally... 12.5k out of 65k Brianpoints and counting!

  14. I got it really late while you were asleep. You better be there when I get 120 Duneoneering though! <3: And Jeremy, don't worry. I still have to finish Livid Farm, Mage Training Arena, and Fight Kiln, not to mention 120 Dungeoneering, so meh. :P Thanks all!
  15. ._. Ten year cape... why must you keep going further away from my grasp... WHYYYYYYYYY??!?!??! Nice little tidbits overall. Looking forward to more Zaros! :D EDIT: +1 to Mod Osbourne's looks lol. He'd be able to captivate an audience I think. XD
  16. For what it's worth, we've had younger staff members join the team before, provided they show a good level of maturity. Good luck everyone! :) Come help this old lady (bwahaahahaaahaaa) and her fellow Crewbies an awesome site for everyone to enjoy! XD
  17. Thank you, thank you, and thank you Jagex for bringing Runespan into the game. Never thought I'd get this 99, even with the effigies. XD Still not Rank 1 Esteem yet, but I'll get there soon. In the meantime, there are other things left to do. :P Thanks to all those who put up with me daydreaming, and sometimes falling asleep, at Runespan. I know it must've been annoying talking to me and then realizing I was kind of bleh. Special thanks to PopeDevourer/Fiya/Jesse for being a total noob. ;) [hide=Pictures Galore] [/hide] 7 Dungeoneering levels, 7 Agility levels, and 11 Hunter levels to 2496. Holy <Self-Censored>, I'm actually doing this. Brb, camping at Daemonheim.
  18. Does that mean I can finally tell people who say, "Optimus already came out and it did nothing!@#!@" to shut the [bleep] up...kindly?! :D Indeed!
  19. Was F2P at the time, but wasn't on RS. I was actually working at the election polls. :| Got up at 5:00AM to get to the polling station at 6:30AM and worked until 9:30PM. XD I still have the pin commemorating the day too. O_o
  20. Well, nice to see that at least out of those spins you got the nifty outfit. ^_^ Now go recolour it into something prettier! :D Judging from the rates you've posted, I guess it's reasonable to believe that you have that kind of percentage. I wonder if it's the same for F2P since people seem to have observed more rare and super rare rewards from the SoF, although it wouldn't surprise me if it's only slightly higher since it can be used as a marketing tool for P2P, whether we like it or not. I don't think this data is entirely useless if compared to other logs made of spins during this current period, before another shuffle is done in the future.
  21. When the update happened, the 30 minutes was already up. :P In any case, hopefully less random world lag. :-? Really frustrating to get that while Dungeoneering.
  22. Hi Sy. I'm not sure if you have noticed, but the spoiler tags in there indicate which direction specifically to go, so I'm not exactly sure what do you mean by this. If I were to describe specifically what each direction equaled to in the unhidden context, it already spoils it for the reader who may want to solve that particular puzzle on their own. I did however, added a note that the directions will no longer be cardinal directions. I'll wait to see what the entrance pool yields. Thanks. :) I dunno wtf I was on about then, just took my noob over (finally) Level 50 constitution required for the entrance pool. Fixed. Thanks a bunch, Sy. :)
