  1. This may seem rather strange for some to see me writing in this forum. Those who know my reputation know that I am pure nonmembers (F2P) and would not step foot on member (P2P) servers due to financial and other personal reasons. My purpose here is not to scold you, not to entice you to come back to F2P, but rather give you all something to think about. This does not relate to my article in the Tip.it times; this does not relate to the divide between P2P and F2P. This is not a tale of jealousy. This is a call to take a stand. Enough of the quest updates. Enough of the skills updates. In my eyes, something more refreshing is needed. While I do not play P2P myself, I do hear complaints from my friends about there being too many quest updates. Take a look at the list of recent game updates. Quest after quest after quest... The list becomes very intimidating. Because of so many updates like this, it seems quite a few people, from what I heard, are unable to explore the new mini-games, barrows, new areas of the map, etc. Personally I would rather see this from Jagex: Important Ones 1. Fix the current macro detection system. 2. Fix the capital O and 0: Too many rule-breaking players cannot be reported because they have a combination of O's and 0's, making it difficult for players to figure out what their name is. By the time they do figure it out, it is already over a minute and thus out of the timespan for the report to be filed. Not Required/Extra 1. Work on NPC appearance. 2. Work on improving the landscape graphics. 3. Add new prayers; there are too many magic spells. 4. Improve current skills based on feedback from players. 5. Update Wilderness Features/Areas/etc. The last four in no way need to involve F2P, but I believe it would be a nice change compared to the constant updates that keep adding things to the game and not actually improving it instead. In a way, I feel that with so many updates, many of the current aspects are overlooked and people are unable to have a better appreciation of P2P. Of course, you all do not need to agree with me, but think about it... You're more than welcome to add onto the list as I do not know much about P2P in the first place, but hearing the complaints from my friends is enough to say something to me.
  2. Meeep!! Suspense!
  3. Yea... That cracked me up. I actually laughed out loud in real life reading that. You should try reading it out loud. It's more hilarious.
  4. Hehe, congratulations! ^_^ *Pokes all you wonderful writers to try to write something too!* Show some pride for this place! :D
  5. Read "Assassin" and you will understand. :) Excellent work, Necro! Am looking forward to the next installment. 8)
  6. Rofl! That would make the F2P's want to pay just 17 cents a day, just 17!For crying out loud, just 5 dollars a month, just pay the darn fee and get on with life instead of sulking :( whaa, whaa, I want more updates, then pay freeking 17 cents a day!!!! :evil:Thankfully not all F2Pers are like that... But sadly, I have to admit the newer generation of players seem to fit in that particular group... (Of course, not the entire lot of them, but a good majority... I don't remember so much begging in earlier years.)
  7. I don't consider it spying. For one thing, the game is public. For another thing, you're doing your "civil duty" as a player of the game to report any troubles you see. If we do not report, we simply allow the game to have more bad characters and in the end the game will be ruined (some say it already is) because of the bad community.
  8. :? Hrm, it's your account and you should have the right to know what was it that made them believe you were macroing... Do you talk now and again? :P At any rate, hope for the best. :|
  9. And we can always buy from our fellow P2P counterparts.
  10. Well give them time. I'm sure they'll catch them soon. :) Goturwhip: Try appealing. No doubt that there may have been mistakes (you did respond to all random events etc yes?).
  11. This is one update I love. I loved this part especially. 8)
  12. I have quite a few options (I'm F2P)... 1. Mine rune. I can never find a server with no PKers it seems... :-? 2. Cut lots and lots of yews! :D 3. Firemake without worrying about people making fires in the line I'm working on. 4. Talk, yell, and scream nonsense. (Because I can't talk without getting bombarded...) 5. Walk around in circles waiting for random events to pop up. 6. Fish at Karamja. I love it when it's quiet. :P 7. Kill the Ice Giants in the Wilderness. Lots of natures and big bones yay! 8. Kill the Greater Demons in hopes for some rune helmets. 9. Close all the doors possible in RuneScape. (Weird, I know.) 10. Open all the doors I just closed in RuneScape. 11. Kill each attackable NPC that spawns at least once. Okay, maybe some of those aren't realistic, but hey, if they were I'd do them! 8)
  13. The things I did in my pyro days on RSC... ;) Now-in-days, we all burn towns.
  14. Again: there is a board for discussion about music... http://forum.tip.it/viewforum.php?f=77
  15. I'm guilty too. I still have the cards. Have played Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, and Ruby.
  16. #1. Don't say your real name next time. #2. We have a Music and Movies board: http://forum.tip.it/viewforum.php?f=77
  17. *Calmly sprays water at erishiku.* ;) No need to worry about flames heh. I agree with you there, and sadly that's how most of the F2P and P2P debate topics end because people do not calmly and rationally tell each other their reasonings behind their arguments. It makes topics like this more interesting if people would avoid the flames, step back for a moment and think of the other person's perspective before actually typing something... I can see why some people tend to grow flamey though. Sadly there are individuals who will continually beg for stuff, and this isn't just in games, this is in real life as well. You try to teach, they either learn or they don't. It is frustrating to see both sides complain, rant, whine, etc. without any clear reasons to help support their arguments, and I guess we more or less end up blend into it. We're gonna get no where with this sort of debate if people don't calm down. :(
  18. The problem with hopes of this update is that some of the required materials are not F2P accessible. If we're allowed to make bows as well as arrows, we're going to have a ton of unstrung bows then unless flax fields are added to the F2P map, which I don't think is very convenient. There also needs to be changes in the smithing table, where the arrow heads must be changed to F2P, and if we limit the type of arrow heads we can smith, then it throws off the balance with the arrows we can use (F2P can use up to adamantite). Then there's the logs issue. F2P can cut up to yews. Does this mean we should be able to fletch yew long bows? That doesn't seem right because we can't even use the yew long bows in the first place. All we can do at the moment is burn the logs or sell them to P2P'ers. We could limit up to willow, but even so we'd have the whole flax issue as previously stated. Wouldn't it be too complicated by then? While the idea itself sounds very good (heck, I hate buying arrows lol), the fact that it requires several changes makes it seem not too great for Jagex to do something like this. I hate to be the one to dampen spirits, but in all honesty I don't think it will work very well. ;) Then again, I dunno what Jagex has in mind. It's all down to them really.
  19. *looks at Chris' sig* Who knows what she'll get up to in P2P? Mm, quite a lot of mischief I believe. :P (And yes, I did say it was okay for him to use that quote lol. Let's just say I was a bit up in the air from too much coffee [i've only had three cups in my entire life, two from the past week lol, the third from when I was a sophomore in high school].) Thank you all for the comments and criticism! I had to research a little on the dates and dig through update news articles... F2P FTW! :)
  20. Shame I'm not a member... :) Have fun hehe.
  21. *Sigh* It's bad too because it makes the reputations of more better behaved F2Pers go down. :( To be honest, I'm getting called a noob for being on F2P and get told to go back to members. Right... If I never went into members, how am I meant to go back?

Evil Bob is still avoiding me... Oddly enough, I've gotten tons of Frog events the past month while cutting willows, so I know what you mean... :?
  23. *Points to the Forum Games board.* Although... that's enough to give anyone a |-|34|)4(|-|3 70 1234|). If you can't read that, you know what I mean then.
  24. ;) I just threw him a list of publishers. Now he needs to find an agent. :PAre you volunteering?>.> If I had experience and was a known agent, maybe. I'm just another amateur writer. :(
