Ye Olde Hegemony
There are quite a lot of rivers in Europe. Can we have only major ones, and not tributaries? Trade routes should be coveted, imo.

Ye Olde Hegemony
Assuming that my forum time is in BST.. 1am. Or in another 7 hours. Maybe I'm wrong. Hopefully. @Archi, the first post does mention trade routes, but they need to be marked on the map.

Ye Olde Hegemony
Kiev begins training 2,000 knights, 10,000 peasant archers, and 10,000 men at arms We move into the Baltic, dazzling them with our superior culture and vast army. (Where do we find out how much money we start with :3) Glorious Kiev gives royal sponsorship to the Merchants of Muscowy, a trade league established to protect and strengthen the trade of Eastern Europe, formed around the Silk road of Asia. EDIT: Oh right, it's in lettered form not numbered. Make it a number so it stands out please! It seems I can train only 2.5k Men at Arms in 10 years. I feel this is ludicrously low! Either way, as this is clearly a strong army (how else would it be balanced), I still subjugate the baltics. They love us Kievians! Men at Arms are like peasants but better! They are the discipline of the Romans but with the badassery of the Greeks. EDIT2: Fantastic! 1000AD is right in the centre of the golden age of Kiev. Long live Vladimir the Great!

Ye Olde Hegemony
The Kingdom of Kiev A glorious nation, led by Khagan Vladimir the Great, ruler of all Kievan Rus. Vladimir has been the ruler of KIev since 980, converting to christianity just before the millenia. Vladimir was lively in his youth, commanding a presence wherever he travelled in Eastern Europe.. His first wife, Rogneda, was a pagan. So she had to go! Vladimir's 'courtship' of Rogneda Vladimir then married Anna, a byzantine princess. His eldest son is called Yaroslav, and already gains a name for himself in court as a learned scholar!

Calling Russia First action will be to invade Moldova. I don't even know where it is. Okay it's not too far away! We will carve a path.

The Back Room
Icu, people will join. Just start it and we flood in: see HegeMedieval. Just make sure it (OP) is clear and simple.

Worship is completely different to love. So is infatuation. And as Rocco pointed out, so is obsession. My AS English coursework was actually a series of poems on that line of obsession and love. I got 95%. Woop.

Hegemony Argument Thread
Not map tools. Just no. That excludes me (and probably some others!) so let's please keep it forum based. I want to play HegeMedieval. But like Dusty, I don't mind too much. I'd quite like to be able to play through this war, but I don't know if that's a majority feeling. And after that, as presumably the world would be a sea of purple, blue and green, I would choose Icu's idea, I think. Something interesting but not something that requires acres of thought - which is my main problem with having someone other than Archi as moderator: He is available far more than anyone else, and I feel his style and persona make him a far more easy moderator to go along with and play with than anyone else - namely because of the easy help he gives.
