If you can name one thing I have done recently that you don't think I could afford, be my guest. I've got 250 million people. Don't you have something like 30 odd spaceships? It might not be that recent, but even if each spaceship costs only 300b, that's still 9 trillion. You just seem to be doing a lot, and Dusty makes me paranoid that _people_ just say they're doing things with no heed to reality.

Your total GDP is supposed to be 400b. Of that, you have 80b surplus. (Which is higher than the people who were playing before this new thread started).

The surplus of all new players is 80b, not their GDP.

The point is, a squid does not have the 'best' shape for agility/speed. Designing something in the shape of a squid does not make that squid shape the 'best'. Yes, a squid is agile, but it's not "maximum".

It took me 5 days/years to IMPROVE my shipyards.. And my budget is a lot bigger than yours. But then again, we don't want to gimp your civs.. So I don't know really. I guess you should spend 1-2 days building a very basic shipyard. Hex - don't spam the topic, yeah?

Kirby, don't you have to add on a year for speeding up and a year for speeding down? Otherwise your ship will be pulled apart from the gravity change. I don't know.

Pretty sure only fission nukes are prohibited, as they leave fallout. Clean bombs, or fusion nukes, are fine.

I think, going by what Ross said of 10 million people averaging earning 40k a year, your GDP is therefore 400b. Ergo, you have an available surplus (20%) of 80b. Same for all new players. Seems reasonable to me.. (Note: This is your entire government budget, us established players are taking 20% of that 20%.. neh)

Killer, there's no land on Earth left (unless someone wants to give you their land on Earth) - so your options are to either 1) Start on a new planet as humans 2) Start on a new planet as aliens. Forgive me if I left something out/was confusing.
