  1. Mather, I have absolutely NO idea what that map is trying to represent. Furthermore, if you are indeed trying to 'claim' some land,YOU DO NOT GET AN EMPIRE. You start with a small _TRIBE_ of <50K people. We're not even going to use an Earth map.
  2. I thought the plan was to randomize a map so certain nations aren't disadvantaged by lack of natural resources, diversity in agriculture etc. So people are picking cultures rather than land. But yeah, I could be wrong. Cultures taken: Eygpt Vikings Rome Florentine Mongols Aztecs Phoenica (sp?) And a few others.. Quite a few chinese tribes, iirc.
  3. Stay the hell out of IRC until you follow the rules.
  4. Because, Hex, we want to play that era.
  5. For discussion on new thread, join #medi. Grim, just so you know, early gunpowder is p [cabbage].
  6. Dusty, that video doesn't work for me. I am Florentine. I'd rather just start playing medieval thread than this war, which, is, to be honest, just going to be a lot of bickering. Sere is raging cause he can't figure out how to unban you, btw. Lol.
  7. What the hell are you guys talking about? How did Rocco get into this? No, of course the thread is not "done", but people get BORED, Hex. War solves boredom. Who knows what'll happen after? But the point is, the thread was always, ALWAYS, spiraling towards war.
  8. Hex, what are you talking about? Of course there is a need for war. The ONLY place this thread could ever have gone is war.
  9. My suggestion for how to play the war: [hide]Each nation is assigned a number of points relative to their population/GDP/current military, or what not. Each nation must then assign X of those points to each division of their army. When Nation A's army fights Nation B's army, there is a slightly more interesting/fair way of deciding the odds for the RNG other than "I have an ion cannon it can shoot your face off". Outcomes of battle: Inconclusive, 20% chance of all battles (?), both sides lose X% of their forces and are _FORCED_ to replay the battle the following year Victory for Nation A; Sub clause of - heavy losses, medium losses, low losses. Obviously the same applies to Nation B. The %'s for this are worked out by tallying the points each army has. Conquest_ This is a hard thing to decide. How many battles does it take to occupy a nation? I suggest that each attack has a specific goal, whether it's to advance 20 miles into a country, or take a city. [/hide] Maybe you like it, maybe you don't.
  10. =(click cell)+(click cell/number)(enter) =SUM(CELL:CELL) etc.
  11. It's not, Lithuania isn't Indy's - I sold it to him like a week ago. Another mini-fleet completed. Sent to Kajea (sp?) I.
  12. Incorrect. Prove it. I gave the evidence for why he did, you prove why he didn't.
  13. Don't you realise this is what you've been arguing for? Yes, Rocco did understand the sentence. That earth no-weapons treaty was just some random [cabbage] in #NWO. And Dusty, it was near the start of this thread iirc.
  14. This post? this isn't impartial. No, not this post. The one I made on this subject yesterday. Getting confused with Rocco No, I meant Dusty, in the 'argument/discussion' we had yesterday, he was just saying the same thing over and over. Yeh, I know that your not laughing in real life, your just typing away with a straight face. there is no irony, it seems irony is the new "I know you are but what am I" Hex, screw you. I was laughing. It is ironic. Of course you don't understand it, that's the whole point. You were saying Rocco couldn't/hadn't/whatever read the "12 word sentence" but the whole point was that Rocco DID respond to the entirety of the sentence with "Says who?" by asking WHO said none of his population was there, as he did not consider himself to have said it. But yeah, as Dusty has shown, he did say it - 3 times. I mean, yeah Rocco did say he was keeping officials there about 3 weeks ago but.. 3 times? I guess he thought it was a negligible technicality, which it is, and Dusty has now jumped on it. But yeah, whatever.
  15. 1) I thought my post was quite impartial, but whatever. 2) Dusty, that's what your arguments consist of. I try to be fluid and react to the other person when I'm arguing a point, you just state your point over and over as though you've got a sledgehammer instead of a brain. 3) Hex, the irony right now is hilarious. You misunderstood Rocco, not him Dusty.
  16. Killer, the reason you were getting 25b (which is right) for your budget is that the starting budget assigned to new players was 80b, which is infact 20% of the 400k starting GDP, so it's your entire taxable income. But it makes sense if you just keep that 80b as a base, and then add it on to any subsequent budget calculations, I guess.
  17. Cent 1: PC fps games > 360 fps games. Cent 2: Fallen Earth > This, imo. My two cents. Still, it's cool you guys are having fun. I guess. (Read: Get L4D2/TF2/Something on PC)
  18. What happened: Rocco initially planned that he would move 90%~ of his population off Earth, but he would use Nigeria as his central government. He DID post this. Then, he posted something saying "ALL" 260m population had been moved to Harrakis. First answers only, imo. But whatever, I think Doom should adjudicate this as I consider her to be the most neutral out of these two parties. But frankly, it's appalling.
  19. I used to be very quiet IRL, but as time progressed - I'm in Sixth Form now - I've shrugged off my teenage selfconciousness and I'm pretty bold irl. Wear red jeans & the like, mainly for fun and because if I get odd looks, who really cares? These people won't affect my life. I take the same stance on the internet really, it's only the internet - the only people that really matter to me are my close friends net-wise. Sure, I'm civil but I'll end up trolling randomers eventually.
  20. Then write it down, Hex? Reposting your question 4 times only means people have to read it 4 times. If someone has the answer, they'll answer the first time.
  21. (Workforce)*(Average wage)*(Tax rate%)*(5%), yeah.
