ShadowedKitten replied to amazizing333's topic in Off-Topic
I was eating breadsticks at pizza hut, and I bit into something hard and spit it out on my plate. Turned out it was my tooth. -
We have frog heads... why not cat ears?
ShadowedKitten replied to ShadowedKitten's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I'm just going to suggest the item, not anything particular about it. Maybe the stats as well, but I figure it's worth a shot. Don't like the ears? Don't use them. -

Cat ears = 2006 Halloween Drop? Hmm... I'm just trying to get everything together before I suggest it. -

I didn't realize we had bunny ears. Hmm... maybe we should have a quest then. Going to update post. -
We have cats, some people want dogs and other pets which I think would be an interesting addition, but why not something a bit more... wearable? Cat ears would be an interesting addition to the game. Tails too. Don't say this would take away from the medieval feel, we already have those fancy boots. This could be an update for all players or just members. The cat ears could come in the following colors and prices. Or a quest could be done to get them. Cat ears: Black, Grey, White, Brown, Grey/Black, Tan (to match cats) 1,000gp each OR a quest Bonuses: Attack: +2 in all skills Defense: +2 in all skills Other: -3 prayer +3 strength Cat tails: Black, Grey, White, Brown, Grey/Black, Tan (to match cats) 1,000gp each OR a quest Bonuses: Attack: +2 in all skills Defense: +2 in all skills Other: -3 prayer +3 strength So... is this an idea worth submitting to Jagex?

August 5th Starting stats: Attack: 52, Strength: 51, Defense: 50, Hitpoints: 49, Prayer: 26 (Combat 61) I had ventured over to Crandor last night, and began training on the king scorpions. No drops, but they were fast experience. Once I reach attack 55, I'll change to strength, and finally defense. Crandor is a lonely place. I have one lobster left, and I plan to go back to the dock to fish more soon. I'm not going through my supplies as fast as I had been with the lessers, which is making my training go a little faster. I will update as needed. No levels gained

Protect Item Doesn't Work in Wilderness
ShadowedKitten replied to Grandpa001's topic in General Discussion
Ooh, good to know, thanks! -
I had traveled the F2P world, training up to a combat level of 60. I had grown tired of the Security Stronghold, and the wilderness didn't have much appeal. I went to Karamja often to fish lobsters and swordfish, and when I wasn't an experienced, I trained on the scorpions, monkeys, and snakes that ran around the Karamja jungle. Once I hit a combat level of 60, and I had gotten my full rune, I would be spending days on the tropical island of Karamja. I took some items out of the Draynor bank, namely 30gp and a lobster pot, as well as my full rune (apart from the shield, which was mithril) which I wore. I checked my combat level. It was 60, and I began walking to Port Sarim. I paid the fare to go to Karamja, and after the boat ride, I got off onto the old wooden dock. I passed through the banana plantation to the fishing dock. My stay in Karamja begins now, at combat level 60, and will officially end once I hit 75 combat. August Fourth Update BELOW August Fifth Update August 4th Starting stats: Attack: 51, Strength: 51, Defense: 50, Hitpoints: 48, Prayer: 26 I caught as many lobsters as I could hold earlier this morning, and cooked them upon a fire supposedly made out of willow logs. Then I set off through the Karamja jungle where I had trained as a newbie, and began climbing the volcano. I felt some rumbling underneath my feet - not something you want to hear as you scale a volcano - but continued on anyway. I reached the peak and climbed down the rocks slowly, hitting the cavern floor. Living skeletons gathered around me, looking as if they would attack. But they did not, and just followed me around as I went into the mess of deadly spiders. One of the larger spiders bit my armor, and I ran into the peninsula carved by the hot lava. Two rangers hid behind stalagmites nervously, readying their bows with steel arrows. Ash and fire runes were spread all over the ground, as well as some animal skulls which I would have preferred not to see. I leaned against a nearby stalagmite, readying myself for the monsters to train on. Suddenly, a lesser demon appeared in front of me, and swiped at me with a massive claw. He took off eight hitpoints, and I fought back with my rune scimitar. I ate two of my lobsters during the fight, and watched after the many hits as the demon vanished and turned into ash, leaving a steel full helm behind. The rangers were both fighting lessers from behind their stalagmites, and more demons appeared and I fought each one that attacked me. Soon, I finished my last lobster, and ran back to the dock to catch more. (But I had to log out then!) Attack: 51, Strength: 51, Defense: 50, Hitpoints: 48, Prayer: 26 No levels gained

Not sure if there's already a similar story to this, but here goes. It might not be too exact, but I'm trying. (Note that this is a fictional story) "My daughter, I want you to kill twenty-eight cows today, and bring back the hides for me to bring to Al Kharid. I'm going to make them into leather armor. I would buy the hides myself, but they're so expensive for a family like us." That was what my father said before he handed me a rusty bronze sword and a dusty wooden shield. It was about an hour before dawn, and he had awoken me to help feed the sheep and pigs we had. They were our only real source of money, as we weren't some of the richest people in Asgarnia. We lived in a small, broken down house somewhere between Rimmington and Port Sarim. Goblins surrounded us every so often, and my father would go out with his good mithril longsword and fend them off. I'd watch from the cracked windows in our house as he would recieve blows and he would deal blows as well. Any gold pieces he would recieve from the goblin deaths, he would keep and place in a small bag hidden under one of the creaky floorboards. Any meat he would cook. Any goblin mail he would throw into the corner until his next trip to Rimmington or Falador, where he would sell it. I took an old apron, which I assumed had been a bright white at some time, and rubbed the dust off of the shield and sword, both of which had seen better days. Not that I could complain, after all, I knew we didn't have the money to afford anything much better. My father had only a combat level of 26, and mine was only at about 16. We didn't have the time to train that often, and we didn't have a decent level of any other skills. My best level was level 20 fishing from catching shrimp each night to roast on a fire which my dad would create with his stack of logs from when he was well enough to do woodcutting. He had a level of 24 to show from his cutting efforts. Rays of sun were reflecting upon the ocean by the time I was ready to go kill some cattle. I could see Karamja in the distance. The first boats were arriving to the dock, and I smiled. I began my walk up to the crafter's guild. They wouldn't mind if I killed some of their cattle, my father went up there often and was never questioned. I made my way into Rimmington, where an elderly dwarf stood, a rune warhammer in his hand. "You look like you need a better weapon," he said to me in a dry voice. "I have a spare adamant sword with me if you'd like it." I refused, knowing I wasn't near experienced enough to handle a sword of that metal. I didn't dare touch my father's mithril sword, for the same fear flooded over me every time I'd spy it in the corner. I continued north past the Cabbage field and didn't take too long to reach the fork in the road. I could see the air altar ahead of me within the trees, but I didn't bother going to explore it. Instead, I headed northwest until I saw the Crafting Guild. A young woman was standing outside the door, completely covered in leather armor. "It's past dawn and they've still not opened the doors for me!" I noticed fresh blood spattered all over the armor, and I assumed she'd been killing cattle that morning. I nodded at her, and began walking over to the corral of cattle. As I walked in, I saw a large cow grazing in front of me. "Good," I thought to myself, "This will be an easy kill." I lunged forward, stabbing its shoulder with the sword. It took only a few stabs to kill the cow, and I began to skin it, leaving the remains for the birds and other crafters... if they wanted them. I saw the hobgoblins on the peninsula ahead of me. They smelled the meat and a few of them were trying to enter the water to steal the meat. I gasped and finished skinning the cow. The hide was soft and strong, and I placed it in my bag. "Hey you!" A man screamed from behind me. He appeared to be a woodcutter with a combat level of 68 or so, but had the delicate hands of a crafter. I backed up, holding out the hide for him to take back. "I'm so sorry, I didn't realize you didn't want me killing your cows..." I said, my voice trembling. The man laughed, and pointed at the hobgoblins. "No, it's fine. The cows are here for their hides and meat. But the hobgoblins are hungry, it's past their breakfast time. Are you going to take that meat?" I shook my head. "No, I only want the hides." He smiled, and took a knife from his pocket. He cut the raw meat into pieces the size of his hand, and then threw them as far into the water as he could. The hobgoblins went crazy and rushed into the water for it, gobbling each piece up as they caught it. I made a few more kills, getting a bit beat up in the process. The man kept cutting the remains into pieces and throwing them to the hobgoblins, and it wasn't long until I reached my fourteenth cowhide. The sun was hot, and I assumed it was noontime. The man had killed a few cows himself, but had kept his own cowhides. He had set a few pieces of meat aside, and soon left the corral to grab a few logs and a tinderbox. "I'm happy you decided to come to the guild today," he said as he returned. "It's not often non-crafters come and visit the cows." He quickly started a fire and began cooking the beef over it. It smelled good, and I realized how hungry I was. He had made two large pieces, and I wondered if he could eat it all himself. "Are you hungry for some beef?" He asked. "I made a piece for you. You don't have to accept it, but..." I was hungry, but I shook my head. It didn't feel right accepting the beef, and he understood that. I found myself killing cows a lot faster after that, and it didn't take me longer than a few more hours to get up to twenty-eight hides. As I finished, I thanked him for spending the day with me. He replied, "No problem, come back anytime." I smiled, and threw the hides over my shoulder before running back home. Upon my arrival, my father smiled. "Twenty-eight cowhides, no more, no less?" I nodded and placed them on the floor, where he immediatly took a knife to them, cleaning any remaining meat off them and sweeping it out of the house. "Want me to catch some shrimp?" I asked him. He shook his head, and grabbed the small net. "No thanks," he said, "I'm going to go catch them myself. It's about time I learn to fish anyway." I nodded, and looked at the dusky sky. Time had gone by so fast that day... The End

They have airplanes, teleports, and even flying carpets. So, why not trains? Go from Draynor to Edgeville, Edgeville to Rimmington, and Rimmington to Draynor! Pay a small fee of 20gp and get on the train. Train rides last about 15 seconds (from station to station), not as fast as teleporting, but law runes are not needed. Train stations could be incorporated, as well as train tracks which you can cross, but be careful not to get hit... ...if you are hit, you lose most of your HP. Trains would come once a minute, and every so often, you'd get a ghost train which would go off the tracks and take you into the wildy. No real animation would be needed, just a message saying "The train steers off the tracks and you are suddenly in level __ wilderness." There would be three trains, namely the Saradomin train, the Guthix train, and then the Zamorak train, all in their respective colors. A rather random thought, but one I wouldn't mind seeing incorporated.

Wow, a lot of posts on this. Thought I'd get a lot of flaming, but I guess not. Most of my friends that have gone to P2P and enjoy it are the ones that like to show off, and would probably never help a new player, by the way. I guess the F2P atmosphere is more of a family-type atmosphere with the different ages and levels, and the Report Abuse button is your best friend, apart from your good game friends. The P2P atmosphere is definitely more of a competitive atmosphere where if you aren't up with the higher levels, you're gonna get flamed. Not to mention player mods are stalking you at every turn... #-o

Last summer, I had a level 30 character, and a lot of free time on my hands. I got a membership account for two months, just while I had no schoolwork. It was fun, I did a few quests, mostly played Castlewars, and dressed up in funny outfits. I had a cat (actually, I got four during my gameplay), I enjoyed members fishing, and I met nice players. But... I've had the chance to become a member again, and I'm not taking it. This isn't a rant, this isn't a P2P stinks post, this isn't a F2P is better post. This is my reason why I'm not going back to members. All of my friends went to members, and they say I just don't want to spend money to be a member. That isn't true, I spent money then, it's worth the $5 each month in my opinion, and I'm not dirt-poor, I could buy a membership for a long while. Now, I am a computer addict. I spend too much time on it for my own good. Only about half of that time is actually spent on runescape. Most of my real life friends spend all of their computer time on runescape and then brag about their high level character with tons of gp, but that isn't for me. So, onto why I prefer F2P. I found that to do anything in P2P, to not get laughed at by other P2Pers, to not look like a noob, I had to spend a lot of time and effort on getting fantastic clothing, doing quests, and staying out of the way, apart from Castlewars. Everybody was a higher level than me, and nobody was willing to help me find places or do anything. I quickly figured out I had to struggle to survive and learn the P2P game. There was so much more to the P2P game than the F2P that I felt overwhelmed. If I wasn't playing Castlewars, I was in the F2P worlds, not showing off anything, but just hanging out. The F2P crowd accepted me, a low level 33 or whatever I was then, and I enjoyed it. I still preferred members fishing, but I didn't like the "elite" players that came with it. Slowly, I found the only good things I enjoyed in the entire P2P game were the fishing, and Castlewars. To get anywhere with members skills, it took me twice as long, and I began spending a lot more time on runescape than the other things I had once enjoyed online. P2P took too long for my liking, and while it was interesting, I quickly grew tired of it and wasn't that sad to go back to F2P. I'm now nearly level 60, and I could go back at anytime. But I don't want to spend any more time on runescape than I already do, and the less I play, I have more time to do other things. So, if I do go back to members, it will be when I'm level 80 or more, bored with F2P, and when every one of my friends is begging me to join them. :D (A few already are) So, summed up, I like RuneScape, I just don't like spending twice as long to level up fancy skills than level up normal F2P skills. I'm the only one of my friends that doesn't want a RS membership. Why does it seem like such a bad thing to them? Flames would not be preferred, I know that a lot of people prefer P2P, and I know that you can level some skills really quickly. It's just my personal taste, and if you can't deal with that, too bad. :

My signature has my pic.

Members music pwns most free to play music. *Is so happy she never lost her P2P music when she switched back to F2P* I listen to a lot of the darker themes... Castlewars Dead can Dance Waterfall Dark Courage Dance of Death In the Clink Saga Sad Meadow Serenade Wonderous And those are the main ones I listen to... :3>

I used to play another game where you could use an autoer. It said it was for RuneScape. I quit the last game and tried it on RuneScape, but it didn't work (I died five times using it, no clue how) and I got addicted to the game. And that is my fascinating story. :o

Great article, and I agree with the relationships at the end. Some of my friends are obsessive over RS like I am, and we all compete to level up (I'm losing right now...) but we spend time together. Two of them are boys (I'm a girl) so a lot of people ask if we're bf/gf in the game. I always say "no," but people don't understand. :wall:

I hate people who call me a noob for not trading my camo when it *is* non-tradeable.
