I hit 98 defence and got my first whip drop recently. Less than a mil exp to go for 99. :-D First post updated to show recent progress.

85 slayer finally achieved on 6/6/07!

Lots of changes since I last posted. I reached 96 & 97 defense, and 93 hitpoints. All of those combined to get me to 115 combat. Slayer level is now 84ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ hope to hit 85 in a few days! In addition to the levels, I got a half shield drop (my first solo dragon drop) from an elf last week. That was exciting! 'Cept they don't sell for much anymore. :P Been doing lots of treasure trails and got a few nice things from them. Still haven't seen any 3rd age items, but maybe someday! :D My clan is having a huge slayer competition this month, so that's helping me stay motivated to work on my 99 Defense goal. If I reach that before the end of the month, I'll start working on 90 strength. Wish me luck!

Really? Sweet! I joined in April '05... so about 5 months after it started. If you're 90+ combat you are welcome to apply. Apps are closed for a week, but they'll re-open next week.

No levels yesterday, but did get a sort of lucky streak. I have an unwritten goal (which I really should write down one of these days) to fill my costume room completely. Dunno if it'll ever happen, but I'm at least gonna try. :P So anyway, I don't have black/red mystic yet and am hoping to get a set over the course of my slayer training. I got the boots a few days ago, then today got lucky with a top at the gargoyles! I was quite pleased. Then I traded 2 of my teeth half keys (had 5 of them :P) for two loops so I could go get some more dstones. Used my first key and got a teeth half in return... used the second key and got a loop half! 3 for the price of 2, woot!

Congrats, Ant! So do you have a "main" goal right now that you're working on? Or are you just kinda going with the flow? @Death_Dude: I recommend the animated armor for tokens. Killing animated rune armor gives 40 tokens each time. That room is also right by the bank for fast and easy food restocking.

I don't think you can tan dragon or leather on lunar isle... only the suqua hides. Good luck with your skilling. 99 Thieving was my first 99 as well. Woot! Now I'm working on 99 Defence so I can have trimmed capes. :)

Thanks for the posts, all... and good luck getting a defender Ant! It actually only took me about an hour and a half to get mine... around 1000 tokens total. I was amazed that I got it that quickly! Last night I buckled down on my slayer assignments and managed to tackle 95 defense. :D

Congrats on level 90 to you both!!! Sox, I must say I love your graphic showing how you use your 3 tinderboxes. I had never thought of that! Last time I trained firemaking I kept playing around burning things in certain orders so the ones remaining in my inventory spelled letters or numbers. That kinda livened things up a little. Lol! Yesterday I decided to take a small break from slaying and start working on getting a rune defender (one of my "other" goals). I fought my own rune armor over and over again until I had amassed around 600 tokens. Then I headed up to the top floor to see how far I could get in the cyclops room. I only had about 30 minutes left of play time for the evening, but wanted to get started anyway. I finished last night with a steel defender and around 300 tokens. I'd love to move up a few more defender levels before going for more tokens, but I guess we'll see. Took my husband around 3 hours with the cyclopes to get to rune.

24 years old here. 8-) Myself and my husband (soon to be age 25) both have been playing for nearly 3 years. While I imagine the *average* age of players would be in the 14-16yr range, I know LOTS of adults who play... have even met people in their 70's that play!! :shock:

So how's the firemaking going? Level 92ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ you're getting close! Good luck on all your goals. :-)

Congrats on 100 combat!!! If you want to get assignments in Shilo, I highly recommend you try to get the Karamja Gloves 3 from the achievement diary. It's awesome to have an easy teleport right to ShiloÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ plus with a bank nearby, you can quickly get an assignment and be on your way. Good luck to you in your quest to 85 slayer. I'm working on that myself too. Perhaps I'll see you around slaying away. 8-)

Best wishes as you work towards a fire cape. That's on my list of goals as well, but I'm not worried about getting it any time soon. I'll do it eventually. :-P However my husband is currently trying hard to get a cape and while in between waves one night he had to log outÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ when he came back he was outside the cave and had to start overÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ what did he do wrong? And by the way, MEGA congrats on the great clue reward!!! I've got all my clues logged on my blog and you can see that I've gotten 95% junk and the 5% that wasn't complete junk was still only so-so. How bout you send me some of that good luck of yours? ;-)

Finished the Karamja Achievement Diary today. Which means that I also mark off one of my minigame goals to try the fight cave. I'll go for the fire cape another day... this time was just an attempt to get a feel for it all. Anyone know how you can tell what "wave" you are on?

Got my first ever rune boot drop yesterday!

Thanks mullen and others. Still slaying away whenever I get time to be in game. I'm getting very close to 94 defense & 1950 total, but likely won't get there until tomorrow (church group at our house on Wednesdays, so not much 'Scaping time). In the meantime I've updated the first post with my progress as well as recent clues. Sadly, it seems like it's been AGES since I got something decent from a clue. I'm getting loaded up on rune axes and pickaxes, though. :-P I'm starting to get discouraged. I need another good clue to lift my spirits again. :-( Anyone else dealing with dry spells with clues and want to vent with me??
