  2. Star Wars Episodes IV-VI
  3. Fair enough. The actual laws don't concern me though, as I'm not concerned with how things are currently working, just how I believe they should work. It's probably this attitude that got this girl where she is now :P

So you watched two seasons? How boring... (this has been the eleventh by the way, not tenth) Er...this post happened after Danni won... :? Not everyone lives in your timezone... unless it was synchronized through timezones, but I doubt it. If so, disregard this post.
  6. Is it just me of is that maybe just a tad wierd? Good song, yes...But...I don't wanna be mean or anything but...Yeah... i agree. I can understand gettin goosebumps, but Crying seems a little over-the-top.. Yes but you don't know his circumstances.
  7. And the attack has ended. Locked for excessive flaming and a big lack of constructive comments relating to the author's topic.
  8. There is a private messaging system for personal messages, thanks :)
  9. Nope no addons, but the problem fixed itself overnight. /me shrugs.
  10. Okay.. so lately a few of my friends and I have become quite addicted to the wheel of fortune game over msn. Until one day, one of my friends msn just stopped running it for some reason... so I tried connecting with her to play, and it didn't work... and now my msn is totally screwed up. All my tabs disappeared, and I can't access my msn space, or anyone else's. I've tried the uninstall + reinstall... everything is updated... it couldn't have been a virus? Because I haven't downloaded anything and I'm generally pretty smart with how I handle myself online.
  11. Although I really like LOTR, I just can't for the life of me place it in even the top ten. Maybe it's because it's too new of a movie... I would easily place the book series top ten; but the movies? No way.

If he gets let off, that will only send a message to all death row inmates to act like they've reformed until they get free.
  15. Miller's experiment did not replicate the atmosphere in which the first cell was "formed". Miller used a fixed atmosphere that was very condusive to life, whereas the atmosphere he should have used is very abraisive to life. Furthermore, Miller's experiment, even if used with the correct atmosphere only creates the building blocks for life, they still have to somehow randomly shove into each other. And my apologies on the OTness, I'll step out.
  16. Mm yea. Or like... lots and lots of pizza.
  17. Wha? Who said only applying it when it is in my favour? Well, I would say with an Intelligent Being overseeing evolution, it's not really random chance anymore, is it? If I cook a meal, no one is going to say, "Wow! Crazy how those ingredients randomly came together and ended up in an oven like that!", are they? (but again this is origin talk) Fine then. It's a loaded term, or a red herring, or just plain disrespect. Goes to show that science can't do everything for people.
  18. Woot! (BTW: I have never understood what ftw was...can anyone tell me?) For the win ;)
  19. Let's cut out the ad hominem. Which is a fallacy. but...
  20. "Intelligent Design" is not science; it should not be taught in a science class, even as an "alternative". Teaching "Intellegent Design" is the equivalent of telling kids in sex ed that babies come from storks. If you had read all of my posts I agreed with you, intelligent design is not science. I believe it has its' place in philosophy class. That's a false anology. If evolution was as set as pure math then maybe, but no. There are no countertheories to simple addition. And even if it weren't a false analogy, again, no one is forcing anyone, it's just suggested. No one is telling you to accept anything. I guess it boils down to your definition of intelligent design. My personal belief is evolution at the hands of an intelligent designer to guide the incredibly low-chance phenomena that has happened. I believe there is a personal cause and scientific cause behind the existence of life.
  21. omg.. never thought of that.. that IS... as bad as aids are now and STD's think what it would be like for the human population to expand/survive without disease without a condom. Hrm? I would have thought a condom stopped expansion of the human race.
  22. Conservatives ftw.
  23. That is not the issue, the issue is that they were going to FORCE creationism on the kids. No, just teach it as an alternative. Funny how when it's not something you believe, it's FORCING them. We are often taught conflicting or (supposedly) opposite views in school. I've never heard anyone complain before.
  24. Not our world, just America. Seriously, if Intelligent Design is being taught in science classes, then I'm moving to Canada. I don't like backward countries. Did it really say science class? I mean, yeah, that wouldn't make sense. But saying that no alternatives to sciences view can be taught in any class at all is being quite close-minded and arrogant, IMO.
  25. One would argue God's character is revealed in the Law. God can order Moses and his army to do all of that because God is sovereign. One would argue that God *cannot* murder, since no one is innocent in comparison to God. I would say that with God it is possible to peacefully conquer a place, but not in this circumstance, because ... this doesn't sound like peace. Verses were put in by the translators, not the authors. Read Numbers 27:1-14, it is possible for women to have ancestry.
