  1. yes, Linux is the way to go if you are doing anything major in programming.....it does have some downsides though, besides some of the time you must ocmpletely re-write a program that you have made in Linux if you want to run it on a Windows platform (although it does help if you are transferring it from a Linux system to Windows XP.
  2. Yes, "no." Heh. Making a "noob" server that provides that sort of charity seems to be rewarding noobish behavior, and that's bad. We don't want to reinforce the idea that they deserve to get items for free. lpinkus yes, making that kind of server would just spawn more problems, not decreas them.
  3. ok, I will do that....thanks for the link :)
  4. you know the one thing that I really hate about Firefox? Every time that you update and get the new version, it deletes all of your bookmarks! I find this really annoying....does anyone know how to fix it?
  5. hehe......you don't have to necessarily "switch", just try it out and keep your old broswer as well so if you don't like firefox you can always just uninstall it......it doesn't delete anything crucuial to your computer if you uninstall it (I think :/)
  6. Chances are, they're not going to learn anyway. This is fairly evident in the countless amounts of whining people who want your items. Then let them quit, I say. If people aren't willing to learn how a game works they're hardly going to have fun in it. I'm not obliged to help beggars. yes, I must agree with you there......if beggars never move out of Lumbridge Castle or Varrock, they will not see what the game is all about.....they certainly will not make and friends (except the "friends" that they just mooch off of), and they are just annoying to everyone.......I would almost go so far to say that Jagex should give a five-day ban to anyone who says "free st00f plz", or anything to that effect......it might help a bit :/
  7. well, I still have faith in beggars....perhaps they will learn eventually ;)
  8. Well, I was thinking that to counter the huge exp for burning a fallen tree, the respawn time would be perhaps four to five minutes? Or I guess you could lower the exp to 30 normal logs and make the respawn time two minutes and thirty seconds.
  9. Yes.....I like that idea; would there be expierence bonuses to the "powered up" spells?
  10. cant use the cannon on KBD he destroys it. ya, sry......honest mistake
  11. well......I know that the whole game of Runescape usually requires minimal effort while playing it, but when you are attacking something, you at least have to move around (even if you are ranging, most of the time), but with a cannon, you just set it there and click, you don't really have to move around to find prey, etc.
  12. yes, let's do.....but just making sure; most people that have posted here do like my updates to the firemaking skill, right?
  13. well, it does seem that I can't get it to work, so......I guess that you were right :o
  14. ok...I will work on it; if I can't find out how I will post here or I'll post how if I find out (I'm not sure if I ever did it)......you sound a bit sarcastic :P
  15. yes, the other two potions would be ok if they were tweaked a bit.....part of this firemaking idea would be f2p, some would be p2p because of the items involved (I think that I said which, but maybe not :/
  16. actually, you can get the sound to work while playing Runescape in firefox....I'll have to think of how....did it a couple of times, haven't done it lately though :/
  17. hmmmm...I like some of the things that you are saying, but I do agree that the last potion is way unrealistic....30 hp? That is way too much....I know that it may not seem like much, but if you are eating food with it and have other potions working at once and maybe combined with a protect prayer.....that makes you way too powerful (especially if you used the invincibility potion with the health restore potions).
  18. actually, I never have used a cannon, but I have seen them work and they hit ridicuosly high amounts of damage on just about anything that they hit.
  19. here....I came up with a different idea quite awhile back; I will take the opportunity to edit my original post and replace it with this; it explains things much better. Off Topic: Bubsa, how you doing? I haven't been posting in awhile....do you still remember me?
  20. Now you see here, stranger.. This here's Firefox country, and we don't like your kind 'round these parts. So hows about you pack up and move along? (Nah, Opera is ok, its safe and fast like FF). lol! I personally prefer Firefox....never used Opera, I will have to try it
  21. only by you/them sending you a piece of spyware, which you could probably do on any e-mail account, although hotmail is not as good as most.
  22. I have used DSL for quite awhile now...much better than 56k, must worse than cable :)
  23. I would totally go with firefox (the browser that I am using now)....it actually speeds up loading times somehow, although the browser takes longer to start up and IE.
  24. no.....the cannons we have now are way too powerful, especially on monsters like the KBD; if this was implimented, we would have even more people just sitting around mindlessly hitting huge amounts on creatures with very little effort.
  25. I like the idea, although (as mentioned earlier), I think that the normal bones should restore .1 of a prayer point, and so forth.
