I quite like this idea.....it would let people trade it for awhile, but then someone would end up with it later for good.....I suppose you could still drop it and someone could pick it up?

ok.....I see; now that you mention it, I guess it would give warriors a big advantage; would the caster's magic level be doubled when the "living dead" spell is cast?

I have shared your opinion for quite awhile.....I don't think that Jagex will ever really scrap Runescape though.....what will probably happen is this: Jagex introduces updates that either make the game too easy or aren't thought through, thereofore unbalancing it, or something; in an attempt to correct their mistakes, Jagex introduces more updates that are meant to re-balance the game; people are not satisfied, so Jagex releases three or four new skills that don't really have any meaning (like the slayer skill, I mean, what exactly was the point?) People starting quitting becuase the game is boring Some people hang on, but most are gone

hehe....that was a very good illustration of what would happen; but here is the real question behind this topic: why would we need loans? In Real Life you need loans because you are goign to buy land to get a business, but in Runescape the only real reason that you would get loans is because you were planning on starting a merchanting business......it really wouldn't be a good idea because it would hurt the merchants that are already out there; you should have to work up from the bottom, not be able to get a 100k loan becase you have rune armour in your bank :?

Well, I find that about as many adults play Runecape as people under 11 (which, yes, I am defining as a kid) do. Besides, who really cares if there is beer and drunk men? Blood is a different thing because it can affect some people that are not kids (some people faint when they see blood), but beer? why not? One example of the fact that you can affend anyone no matter what you do is this: My mother tries to get me to stop playing runescape because it has magic in it, and she has found some obscure little passage in the Bible that says something about not using witchcraft (which I wouldn't really consider magic anyway....there is a difference); I am a Christian myself, but I don't find magic offensive....still, she does, and it annoys me :o

Well, I don't really see what the point of this topic is, considering that this is what the whole Runescape Discrussion & Suggestions board is for, but..... I would like to see more interesting firemaking....it wouldn't necessarily have to give any more exp than it does now, so it wouldn't cheat the older players out of their exp, but it could be more interesting (for info, see the link in my sig). The graphics could be better....you could play online with just how the graphics are now (high or low detail) but if you chose too, you could download a (fairly large) graphics package and use it when playing....they could put the graphics package in the SR client, since you would have to download it, but you could also play on any computer if you wanted to use the graphic versions that they have now.

Well, that would be cool, but how could people tell what nationality you were? I suppose you could have a little flag on your shirt, but that would be a bit lame, and the flag next to your name? That would just be plane annoying, unless you could turn the flags off if you didn't want to see them.

actually....I really, really like this idea! The extremeness is amazing, and would make PKing much faster, deadlier, and more fun. There is one thing though: perhaps this should be available to other classes besides mages? I'm not sure how you could really do that, but.....it would be nice if all classes could do the spells.

I do like this idea, it would provide a good way of transfering money.....one thing though: I think that you should have to have some sort of book (a check-book) that you could equip in some random place (perhaps a new place?).

Well, the spells just wouldn't really fit in very well, but I do like the emote ideas (except the flips). The problem with the e-mote flip ideas is that it would probably end up looking exceedingly lame, kind of like the spin emote that they have now.

hmmm....the main problem that I see with this is that there are already too many weapons in Runescape; the game is becoming,........not exactly easy, but way too easy to suit my likeing; true, I don't have an ultra high level account, but I have played Runescape for almost four years and it has slowly gotten much, much easier since it began. Therefore: no, I would not impliment a totally new kind of weapon.

well, messing with rares just really shouldn't be done, there could be, however, a way to eliminate money from the game.....I was thinking that perhaps there could be a lottery....anyone who puts 10k in gets a ticket.....10% of the total money just disappears, while someone else wins the 90%

oh, ok....that's right, now that I think of it....they keep changing the formula for these kinds of things and it is a bit difficult to keep up :oops:

well, you couldn't do it because of the security measures that they have taken to prevent this; A very, very experienced hacker might be able tocreate ways to get into parts of the site successfully, but you could not actually put the game on your website :roll: and also, as has been said before: Runescape is made with java, not javascript(although part of their pages are designed in javascript and HTML)

not such a great idea....just like the fight pits or the castle wars, really.

Well, I don't really see the point, considering that rune medium helmets give you less protection than full; since people that are buying god helms are probably going to get the best anyway, why bother with rune mediums? :?

*shrugs* if Jagex wanted to be racial, they would.....I don't think that they are being intentionally racial; the programmer probably just thought that since the guy had a hook nose, he was called Hooknose Jack.

defense is extremely useful, not only in the fact that you can use different kinds of armour, but that it does reduce how much is hit on you; one thing that should be noted, however: if you attacking a creature that only hits with magic, a high magic level will determine what you are hit more than defense will; I am not sure if the same goes for ranging, but I think that it does.

I have been a member before, and I think that we get plenty for what we pay for.....besides, half of the ideas that people think are good would in reality totally throw the game off balance, or crash the economy, or other things like that; for the most part, Jagex does think things through, although it would be nice if some ideas were implimented that just about everyone agrees on.

well, it could be a good idea, but do we really need it? The real main problem that I see with this it that if you could use your boat anywhere, Jagex would have to make a lot of maps and that would cause quite a bit of lag.

Well, I've never noticed this before....it would be nice if they made it so you could wield a weapon in either hand, but I doubt if Jagex cares much.
