  1. apologies, i meant to type that it is impossible to withdrawn from to the right, or below an item you've just withdrawn. dunno why i typed left.

if you withdraw an item, you must wait until it shows up in your inventory and your bank is redrawn until you can withdraw anything at that position or beyond. it's idiotic.

You can withdraw items from the left then click the items one by one to the left.

Not as fast as the old way, but faster then waiting for every item.

Okay, so all we have to do is relearn how to scan a page with our eyes. Let's punish the people who are used to reading the conventional way.

  2. This is just my theory:

visual things like the geometry of runescape and the models you see are something that makes sense to transfer to the client. these don't effect gameplay, really. drops on the other hand, should be determined by the server, and so the code doesn't need to be transferred to the client.

  3. Mine plays terribly in HD now...

Mine doesn't even work. And wasn't it 3D before too?

he means 3d with those 3d glasses:

    3d-specs.jpg

This would be the dumbest thing ever in the history of RS.

3D glasses are guaranteed to give you a headache and wear the crap out of your eyes.

3D "technology" has been out in movies since the 50s and invented like 100 years ago.

The last incarnation was in the late 70s when I was a little kid. (that stupid meteor movie with shawn connery, JAWs...)

The only question is how clueless the newest generation is if "3D" finally catches on.

Unbelievable, just play the dam rick aston song...

This is completely incorrect. 3D movies are now being produced and viewed using the approach of overlaying two images of different polarizations. additionally, better understanding of the angles to shoot the two images from (or where relative to the subject to render them from), causes fewer headaches.

  4. i've always liked the definition of a berserker... a warrior who went 'berserk', attacking pretty much anything and going on a rampage. i wish the berserker curse had been something like this, making you just attack whatever you could reach, etc. perhaps at the expense of your defense (berserk warriors didn't care for their safety)

sorry, this is a bit reverse of your idea (them coming to you versus you going to them), but would have the same outcome

  5. it should also apply to summoning...

but if we changed these things, we'd be left with possibilities like going through to godwars, your prayer is lowered to 94 from 95, and you can't use turmoil. or what if you have a steel titan summoned and you drop below 99 summoning? does it vanish?

  6. I was asked to duo Bandos, but it's been quite a while since I've been, and I have access to more than I used to. I'd appreciate advice as to a good inventory and equipment setup.

    noteworthy things I have:

    maxed melee

    95 prayer

    dragon claws

    zgs

    extreme attack, strength, defence

    96 summoning

imbued rings (all of them except onyx, though i'd rather not risk zerker)

thanks for any advice you can give me

  7. I have always had a home world, but since themed worlds and player-made unofficial worlds, I usually am on world 91 (homeworld since members), world 60 (penguins), world 76 (mobilising armies), or 145 (soul wars)

though i do hop around when hunting TDs or such

this might be better suited to the questionaires forum

  8. Hello,

Can one prayer flash Turmoil to save prayer points? I plan on using Turmoil with my Godsword at Tormented Demons. I realize there is an activation animation...does this prevent efficient prayer flashing?

    Thanks for any help

you must attack the opponent or it must attack you for the percent bonus which takes into account their levels to apply to your boost. until then, you just get the 15% or whatever to attack and defence and the twenty-something percent to strength. so i would say, you can flash it but it will be significantly worse than piety

  9. in other words, as with all drops in rs, its RANDOM.

we understand this. we are not disputing this. but it does not change the fact that drops have an average rate of occurence, which is what the OP is asking for.

we're operating under the simplified principle that every time a monster dies, a many-sided dice is rolled, and if a certain side faces us, we get a specific drop. the question the OP is asking, is how many faces does the drop have?

of course it's random if we get the drop or not. that's the dice rolling part of it. what isn't random, is how many sides the dice has.

every time you flip a coin, it's random. but it's still an even chance between two outcomes.

please don't spew what you've heard if you don't understand it

  10. Ah ok im 97 mage atm, and was obviously going to barrage (with battle robes + sol, already own them) if I were to go for the yak.

Fiends with extremes very effective? although with needing some 12k crims thats a long time @ fiends...

I'm guessing bedman meant chaos tunnel fiends, which are worth your time if you have an iron titan or above (hence 95+ summoning).

  11. @Myweponsg00d

Every single aspect of Dungeoneering points straight to a minigame. The skill itself was originally a concept and design of Jagex' third (after Mechscape) MMO. The idea of this skill was never brought into a skill until somebody at Jagex decided it should go into Runescape. There really needs to be no argument on whether this is a skill or not because it is clearly a skill in Jagex' eyes, but the facts still stand that it was a Game in itself until it was put into Runescape, therefor think of it as a [Mini]Game.

Every single one of the minigames in Runescape can be easily converted into a skill if it were given an XP reward.

I think it is a horrible idea of Jagex to make this into a skill. It doesn't need to be a skill, however it would be nice for it to be a large part of the game. Instead of it being forced into the skill list, add it into the clan tab just like lootshare is. I don't see a problem with team based gameplay, but at least put it in an appropriate spot in this game such as the clan tab, considering it is such a huge update and will be used by a large amount of people. Even if it wasn't a skill it would be used because it is fun to play. Castle Wars isn't a skill, yet plenty of people play it.

So ignore the fact that it's called a skill. It being a skill doesn't affect the actual gameplay at all. You are complaining for the sake of complaining.

No, we are arguing for principle. Much like how the summoning tab was removed simply because it did not fall in line with their concept of what tabs should be, Dungeoneering does not fall in line with what a skill should embody. At least, not yet. if more dungeons are added, and some other changes made, then perhaps it will be conceivable for this to be a skill, but for now, this skill might as well be called Daemonheiming,

  12. what trojann is talking about is not a whitescreen problem, it is the same generic error message that is given when the game comes up against something... bad. it's the error encountered with the crash-character glitch, where you re-directed to another page.

i also got this error, while climbing the ladder to the trollheim herb patch.

  13. Extremes give you higher stats than Super Potions. Those stronger hits will add up in the long run. Who wants to deny killing God War Bosses and Tormented Demons quicker than they already can?

I don't necessarily understand why people must feel untradeable potions have to be bankable on BOBs. If you want to complain about this issue directly, feel free to do so at Jagex. It's likely that they will understand and will implement banking untradeable potions on a BOB in a future update.

yes, yes, and yes. we agree that extreme potions make boss hunting easier.

you think that jagex will eventually allow them to be stored in beasts of burden. this is what we want. this is what the topic is about, so in your view, you could think of this topic as:

we are annoyed that jagex has not implemented the change which they inevitably will.

i for one am not convinced they ever will make the change, though i hope they do.

  14. So what bladewing. Why don't you tell me right now to leave your topic so you can continue to search for more supporters instead of telling me that I did not read your measly "7 WORDS."

Jagex made them untradable for a reason. If Extremes were to suddenly become tradeable, then Super Attack, Super Strength, etc. potions would be deemed as weak and feeble in comparison.

    ...

Think of the untradeable holiday rares. If Jagex made the Bunny Ears and Scyte tradeable then that would just be another way for people to gain ridiculous amounts of money based on luck (where you had to be there when they were dropped). They quit doing the tradeable holiday rares, and I'm not going to write an entire essay of it here.

    1) You aren't responding to anything in my thread. Please make your own thread if you want to write about these things.

    2) I never suggested these potions be made tradeable.

    3) How about you give a better counterargument than "making things harder and more annoying is good", because it's pretty weak.

If you are that offended by my opinion, you are making a mountain out of a mole hole.

I'm not offended, your arguments are just weak, impertinent, and/or just false. If you have something legitimate, post it.

I agree. Lmfao @ jjustin. Your going off on him without even reading the post. [bleep]ing [developmentally delayed] XD

Don't judge who I am when it's a living fact you don't even know me. Either post nicely or get out of Rants.

we very well can judge who you are. it doesn't matter that we haven't met you physically, you've demonstrated qualities we find undesirable, and which require no physical interaction to understand. it is based on those qualities (inability/unwillingness to acknowledge your mistakes, as well as the initial arrogance of posting without reading the topic) that we are judging you.

you made a post which was off topic. either you did not read the post, or you misunderstood it.

you could have stopped there, and admitted your mistake, but instead you have decided to fight us, defending your post as an opinion which thusly can't be judged, whereas we are saying that even if it is an opinion, it is completely unrelated. we are not telling you to keep your opinions to yourself, we are telling you to keep your opinions relevant.

Jagex made them untradable for a reason. If Extremes were to suddenly become tradeable, then Super Attack, Super Strength, etc. potions would be deemed as weak and feeble in comparison.

If you want to argue that BoB should bank Extremes for faster kills at TDs or God Wars, then you might find yourself on the winning side. I feel that Supers are good enough, whether people on here think so or not.

My view on this is that Jagex will eventually allow Extremes to be bankable for BoBs. It will be introduced in a major update that will be included with other tweaks/minor updates. Extreme potions will make killing monsters faster and easier than what Super potions did. There is a difference. Thus, the game has to be BALANCED. Making Extremes tradeable and possibly bankable in BoBs will make the game easier. Just admit it.

    I don't support.

in your original post. it starts by saying that jagex had motivations for keeping the potions untradeable. this is a fact which jagex made public with the update, and the reason is this: they wanted to provide benefits to high-level herbalists.

original newspost about the potions: http://services.runescape.com/m=news/newsitem.ws?id=2288&allcat=true

your second line, which i have put in bold, is where it is clear that you did not read the topic.

If you want to argue that BoB should bank Extremes

he was saying that beasts of burden should be able to 'bank' extremes [untradeable potions]. you just told him that if he wanted to say the thing that he just did say, then he might be right.

obviously you did not understand or overlooked his original intent, because you would not be advising someone to argue a point, which they are already arguing.

your next few lines go on to talk about rares or something irrelevant, a further indication that you missed the point completely.

your last few lines are substantial and if you had posted only them, you wouldn't be getting all this criticism. however, your last sentence or two are:

Thus, the game has to be BALANCED. Making Extremes tradeable and possibly bankable in BoBs will make the game easier. Just admit it.

i am pretty sure he already has implied that being able to store extremes in beasts of burden will make things easier. that is why he wants it to be done. when you ask him to 'admit it' you again seem to have missed his point.

    then your last line

    I don't support.

you've just said that you think beasts of burden will eventually be able to carry extremes, which is what the OP wants, and what his post is saying should happen. why then do you say you don't support his post?

    okay?

  15. the language of the message telling you that you can't store these items in a familiar bothers me. we're not trying to 'trade' them to the familiar, we're saying "servant, please carry these for me." jagex seems to have really poorly defined reasons for why these extensions and enhancements to skills aren't allowed to mesh with others.

  16. for people who want to help calculate the actual xp formula, it would help if you post the multiplier & time immediately after the multiplier lowers

They already gave use the formula, no need to bug people for their .

    http://services.runescape.com/m=devblog/images/bonus_xp/xp_formula.jpg

just put a X instead of "hours logged in" and use a calculator

    please read the topic again.

the formula they gave us is not evaluated with high accuracy, so the multiplier you receive is up to .15 less than it should be (though tends toward zero)

here is the current quadratic regression based on data from people here:

    http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=quadratic+fit+{.25%2C2.5}%2C{1.0166%2C2.3}%2C{1.7666%2C2.1}%2C{10%2C1.1}%2C{2.5166%2C1.9}

The problem with that is the the Xp is not a quadratic, its an exponential function

no it is not. it is a piecewise function composed of a quadratic for the first ten hours, and a LINE for the remaining time.
