  1. I go with the ppl suggesting u redesign the poor guy cause he looks like frozen or something like that. I'd personaly give a slighty bolder look compared to the lines Zim made for you, but that's personal taste only. Another hint...Don't go on the shading or on the detail before all your screen is set. If you work element by element you'll be realy free to draw what's in your mind for the first character only. The next ones and the scenery will only try to fill the spaces...and that personaly takes away half of the emotional impression coming from a sig. First of all focus on what the final result will be.. Then try to make a linework with 50% or less of the final detail to see how the screen is set... I personaly use something like 2-10 mins to do this phase...mainly cause i start drawing only when i realy have an idea to develop...not by tries. Here's an example (sig i never started so feel free to use/develop it if u want to). Once you'r satisfied with the overall look/impression, u can start adding whatever u want to it (colors, details, surplus stuff). Remember u can't work on pixel art the same way u work with renders and photoshop...u need a totaly different method else your results will always lack of something. Keep it up :) TJ
  2. I was holding the camera while standing on a slim landstrip :) That involved a lot of work when merging them due to some angleshift expecialy in the central ones.
  3. Arr, Jeppoz beat me. Try mirroring him :? Is it a bad thing though? erm...takes the chance... *Beats Demoris* If u mean i should try it...well...no thx :) I don't like working on other ppl's pieces :) ........... I mean Zim should try mirroring it Well at least i took that chance wheeeeee

  5. That's nice :) I'd go with Zim about the bg colors and with Crimm about the perspective and i'll throw in the dragon position problem. To me it looks more like laying on the ground rather than flying. Maybe it's the shading or the body shape...dunno. Think it could be improved a bit that way 2. Still great step by step gallery :)
  6. B U M P 8)
  7. Very nice stuff we have here. Remembers me of the sig i made about a mage...only difference is i blew up the head of the foreground guy a bit lol...i'm evil . So i can't but love the setting and the "camera". Great job on the armor 2. Try mirroring the guy maybe...should be pretty easy in Mspaint 2. Keep up your uber work mate :)
  8. Well me and my gf went for 3 days in Tuscany, i came back at 9 pm today. Had dinner and stuff...finaly i downloaded the pics from the camera and started editing those 7. Finished that at mmm dunno something past 12 pm...then placed on Devart. I usualy spend 20 secs to make descriptions and stuff, actualy forgot it was this (or better, since it's 4.30 am here now, last) morning and not another pic i took 2 days ago. Later on, here, i realized my DevArt date was wrong but..well...not realy bothered changin it.
  9. Took those pics this morning...about at 11 O' Clock on my way to Pisa. They were simply 2 nice not to stop the car and take some photos. And actualy there's no big photomanipulated elements there. I simply corrected many many little elements, but the overall look is the same of the real one...
  10. It's a photo...still having to manualy merge 7 different pics...i had to work with photoshop quite a lot...so it's not actualy something 100% real...
  11. Here are 2 versions...used 7 different shots merged together. Hope you like it. Original version is a 20+megs jpeg  so i had to resize and comress in 2 different quality settings : 80% quality : http://www.deviantart.com/view/9519965/ 60% quality : http://www.deviantart.com/view/9519872/ Feel free to post about those :)
  12. Closed. Link won.
  13. AAAARGH there's NO MSPaint 2 !!!!
  14. Me...but since i wasn't quoted i dropped the Avatar request  Well whatever it's your sig. Good luck finding one, i'm sure u will.
  15. Do you use the program "MS Paint 2" or are you saying that you use MS Paint too? I'm confused... Laziness fubars another post. Is typing two less characters really worth it? wtg If i were lazy i would do something different from pixel stuff...
  16. Just a notebook tiny mouse for me :P
  17. nah i made a lot of them back then... But i realy don't like this 300x150 limits on digital art :P
  18. Sorry mate but i don't see the point in a blinking stats animation
  19. Mmm one day...maybe...or maybe not :P
  20. Lol thx Azvi but that's not custom plus it's gory and about a mage... Looks like that takes away some potential buyers :) It took time to be done but i realy knew it would have been hard to sell maybe due to the original, a bit cinematic concept :P Whatever i don't realy care about what i get...i'd simply love to see that one around here as some1's sig. Staying up a bit more...closing today.
  21. Nice concept. Nice style. Only problem is the village that follows 2 different prospectives. Houses show in a way(let's say from the front)...the fountain in another (like from top) Fix it and maybe work on the killed guy position a bit so everything is correct i think :)
  22. well a well-deserved cockiness though you are right our sigs look nothing alike and yours are a lot better. i may have to look into this mspaint 2.... I was talking about styles. Not skills or stuff like that. As u can see around the boards i never claim this or that for me and i'll never do, unless some1 directly "challanges" me and even in that case i woun't be sayin i'm better than you and such stuff. Plus Pixel stuff is the closest to hand drawing kind of digital art...so it's very likely every1 has a particular style and a particular tecnique, with more or less detail, more or less humor, more or less realism and so on. And every1 will hit a particular target in the audience. (else we all would be reading specific marvel comics or specific Manga comics...but u can see how many of them are out there and how many different styles are there.) Plus i realy respect all pixel art sigmakers cause i know the effort it's needed to do a full piece. (well unless u do some bad stuff that's still possible in mspaint). I don't realy get what u mean with cockiness but in case it's what i think i suppose this post is clear enough to lclose the point. Bye
  23. Totally agree. I always did render-sigs before. Then I tried my cartoony style like: ...and I felt more proud of that because it was 100% me. Then I tried pixel sigs and it made me cherish it even more, because it was a lot of work. I know about 3d render sigs. I know about handdrawn sigs. And I know about pixel sigs. And I have to say creating a pixel sig is one of the most rewarding experiences I've had to date. PS: Jeppoz is god. :P Thx still your pixel sig is awesome you know :)
