  1. I couldn't do a rubix cube with my 2 hands and both my feet, although I never did try it for that long, my last one fell apart after I banged it against my table several times in frustration.

    Gas Prices

I think hyrdrogen cells would be a great way to go but I don't think they have quite finished developing them yet and working out all the kinks (someone please correct me if I am wrong), and also as xyrec kind of mentioned earlier the process of changing over to hydrogen would be big and costly. Every gas station everywhere would have to bring in new tanks and equipment, not to mention also get rid of the old stuff sometime, and it would take a while to train people to train other people to work on the new cars and build a whole new part of mechanical engineering education courses. It would be nice if they came out now, but I doubt they will be phased into use until the gas situation is much more dire. For now if prices stay up then ethonol and bio-diesel will probably be looked into as has also been said before. But if that becomes the case then OPEC might try something drastic to keep their money rolling in and we'll all get to keep our life giving liquid explosive a bit longer.

    Gas Prices

Bush can't just turn a dial and lower gas prices, he has already released our national oil reserve, and thats about the most direct thing he can do to help them. The government can't just change prices of things willy nilly becuase our economy is based on capitalism, not communism. And I also don't think Bush is just sitting there in his office, reclining in his chair with his feet up on the desk, saying "eh, this problem will fix itself if I just leave it" he's doing the best he can to find the solutions and solve the problems, nothing is simple when you are dealing with several nations of millions of people.
  4. I think that part of the random events are random, but other aspects are affected by what you are doing. Maybe the game does some kind of random scan of players, picks some, and depending on what they are doing gives them a random event, lowering the chance of a non-autoer getting bugged with a random event (although I still wouldn't mind a mime). I'm not too big on programming, but this theory seems fairly possible, and the some of the things people have posted seem to support it.
  5. well if thats the case the auto miners could get a program to auto talk to then they would get less random events so i dont think jagex would do that. not nessisarily, some kind of auto talk would make them even more obivious and easier to ban. Sometimes I mine for up to 5-6 hours at a time and I see a guy walking around talking about stuff that has nothing to do with whats going on for that long, and acting like autominers usually do, I'd report him. if they had an auto talker say something like "mining lvls!" about 2 times a minuite it cant really be considered auto talking well it is but no one would suspect it. I geuss maybe people who were in there for a little while wouldn't suspect anything, but if I see someone say something like "mining lvls" 100-150 times I'm gonna suspect something

  7. North Carolina, USA 15, 20 days till 16 (drivers liscence 8) ) Quality, a nice heavy, firm, well made feeling to the product, no cheap, flimsy plastics (unless its software of course). I couldn't really care less about packaging, it could come in a plain cardboard box for all I care, as long as I know what it looks like before I buy. Price is important of course, I need to make sure I know I'm getting what I paid for for. mostly classic rock, some alternitave, maybe a little metal, and my newly acquired taste techno/electronic. Computer stuff (mostly rs related), my Xbox which I love dearly, drawing, running, NJROTC armed exibition drill team, and my biggest, school, which I put 9 hrs a day into
  8. Thats exactly what I think. This is like saying that there is no future. The future ends once you die and It keeps on looping and looping the same years over and over, same decisions, choices, mistakes, parents, life. It would be cool once you Die, you can choose to be another life form. I'd probably pick Eagle cuz i always wanted to fly, or maybe a hornet :) Or maybe you can become a substance..lol..I wanna become the future ultra cool car 8) -------------------------------- and the deja Vu thing you Said There is this weird thing that happens to me, for example Im doing something (it could be anything, example: eating at a certain time at a certain table).... and suddenly I have this flashback like It happend before....It Seems SO Real Like my flashback really happend, and is happening again, almost like in my previous life..which really scares me. Or i could be walking in the mall and boom, flashback..has it really happend before? Before life memories? :? Come to think of it, sometimes i get flashbacks when i'm doing something, that I've done this before. Whenever i have a dream and wake up the next morning, and do something, I get a funny feeling that i knew it was coming. They were things I would never have expected to do. Now, i thought of another theory of death. Maybe, there is no death. Nobody ever knows for certain, because people who are supposedly "dead" can't tell us how it's like after...death. I think...that our thoughts, our "real" us, goes back into time, and relives the past, without knowing you did, and not knowing you died. Each plane of time we go back to, is our own dimension. Our own little timeline that we relive again and again and again...which makes me think, are we really "real"? Who knows... Indeed, who does know? Maybe its all just in our minds. But what is our conscience? Its so weird and complex, and it feels like there is a lot more there in our minds than what we have sorted out, almost like theres a bunch of people working back there but not telling you whats going on. Sometimes when I have a lot of free time, like in car trips and such, I just sit there thinking "who am I really?, what am I? The me that I know is something that is there but cannot be seen or read. Yeah sure theres the physical body, but that doesn't seem to have much to do with who and what I am. Sometimes I just sit there and try to sort it all out but end up even farther away from what I wanted because there are so many possibilities. I wonder what it would be like if we knew all those answers, maybe there would be no need to exist, maybe thats the point of life, to figure out what we really are, but thats impossible isn't it? All the current events seem pointless when there seems like there might be some kind of greater goal than just growing up, getting a job, trying to pay the bills, then dying. The universe is so huge, and its still getting bigger, that it seems like there might be something out there that we should see or have that would make all our wars and governments and jobs and pleasures seem like a complete waste of the human lifetime. Then again, maybe its just all in my head, maybe I should just tone down my imagination a bit and get into the whole lifecycle thing before I go crazy theorizing about our lives.
  9. I get the exact same sort of deja vu, there was this one time in class where I felt really weird, and all the noise around me kind of turned into a buzz and I heard the teacher and a student having a conversation that I felt I knew the outcome of, and when they finished talking I felt like I had heard that exact same conversation a few minutes ago. Deja vu is really weird, it like there are 2 parrallel dimensions that don't go at the same speed and they kind of slip into each other every now and then.
  10. This didn't happen to me, but me and my brother were riding our bikes up and down the street and I was being a show-off (I was 10 then) and riding a few yards with my eyes closed. As many little brothers do, mine decided to mimic me and he rode his bike down the street and into our driveway that was at the end of the street, and rode right into the tailgate of my dads truck at about 10mph. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen to this day, I can still remember him going over the handle bars and bonking the top of his head into the back of the tailgate (he had a helmet and was fine, as was the truck).
  11. What OS do you have? My Windows XP came with a Windows Movie Maker that does all that stuff. I don't know of any movie editers that are free, I think the program takes a bit too much time and trouble to make to be able to give them away
  12. well if thats the case the auto miners could get a program to auto talk to then they would get less random events so i dont think jagex would do that. not nessisarily, some kind of auto talk would make them even more obivious and easier to ban. 13. As has been mention several times before, I think we are just suddenly gone. Time and thoughts dissappear for you, but there is no you, no awareness of the absence of time and thoughts, complete nothingness that no one experiences because no one is ever there, they are just gone. Its kind of a hard concept to get your head around, kind of like trying to imagine the size of our infinetly expanding universe.
  14. Well, I've tried everything suggested and it still doesn't work, thanks anyway guys. I don't think I'll bother Jagex about it because I'm not even p2p and the trouble it would take to get a response just isn't worth it. If no one else has a solution, then I'll just live with it.
  15. A projector would be awsome, but I doubt it would fit in my room, and my famly wouldn't be too pleased if I put it anywhere else. I might get an LCD widscreen if I ever get the money together.
  16. Anyone with a telescope might want to check it out, its the brightest object in the sky after Venus sets, and is easily distiguished by its reddish color. If anyone gets a chance to look at it with a telescope, tell me how it looks because I don't have a telescope and I'd really like to know. I think some telescopes can take pictures, and it would be great if someone could post one if they have it. The time it is visible varies depending on location, but I know its above the horizon by about 30 degrees on the East coast the US around midnight. No one alive today will ever see mars this bright again, so don't miss out on this literally once in a lifetime opportunity. (I would also appreciate it if everyone kept their comments about me being a nerd to themselves)
  17. I recently got a 400 watt 5.1 RCA surround sound system for my room that I'm really happy about (although I have a small 20" tv to go with it). I was wondering if anyone has a cool surround sound system or gigantic tv they'd like to talk about.
  18. This is probably a really dumb question, but how would I go about reinstalling java?
  19. hmmm.., maybe we're on to something, or maybe Its just luck.
  20. I tried deleting everything in the folder then reloading rs 3 times, but the music still doesn't work. I geuss it would be bad to just delete the folder itself?
  21. I took the old one but not the new one yet, and I'm glad to hear they got rid of the analogies. The addition of the writing section kind of annoys me though because we are bombarded with writing tests all throughout grade school anyway, and also because I'm a bit more of a math guy.
  22. I recently heard something from a fellow miner about mimes and other random event that seems to make sense. He said that if you talk less you should have a bigger chance of getting a random even since their point is to get rid of autominers. I have never gotten anything better other than 1 maze, some genies, and some MOMs and I am always talking almost non-stop while I mine so this seems like a correct assumption to me.
  23. ok I got in there, but what do you mean by midi files? (sorry I'm not much of a computer tech guy)
  24. For some reason the ingame music in rs recently stopped working for me, although the sound effects still do. Yes of course I have the music on and turned all the way up, and I know its not my speakers because I can hear the sound effects. I figure it has something to do with the thing that runs music on my comp because I have a hard time playing music while playing rs.
  25. I have been having the same problem, only mine was ahead by 45 minutes at one point, although its back to 15 ahead now. I checked the internet sync and all that stuff, and did all the scans, but nothing has worked.
