World War 3 where will you be
How am I being ignorant? You stated that during the period from WW2 until the present Russia has been a US ally when that is obviously not the case to anyone who has even the most basic grasp of history. I think you need to hit the books big time. Seriously, do they teach any history at schools? As for your comment regarding the Spanish-American War, it's in no way relevant to this topic or our own debate here. Also it is not comparable at all, Spain and America went to war (an actual fought war) and later made peace. They didn't participate in an arms race, participate in proxy wars and have a severe state of conflict for a period of over 40 years. To call the Cold War a period in which USA & USSR are allies is a laughable claim which is factually wrong. Now, I'm sorry if that upsets you and destroys the credibility of your posts in this topic but I have historical fact on my side here. edit - Noticed the Spain comment and added a paragraph accordingly. It is relevant to our topic as I am stating the relationship between countries even after war. I did not directly state that the US and USSR were allies during the Cold War. That would be stupid. Also, to state that I don't know history is a laughable claim too because why would I allow myself to make a claim without providing information to back it up. I don't see anywhere in my previous statements that say "The US and USSR were allies and they were even allies during the Cold War." So, I don't know where you pulled that claim out of. As for the destroying of credibility, that is not relevant. I know my history and I was making an accusation. We have been allies with Russia and as for the Cold War and the newly debated controversy about Georgia, we were still allies with Russia. As for scootlaboot's comment, I am not going to respond to it as it doesn't contribute to our debate. We were allies with Soviet Union in World War II along with the UK, France, etc. It was a military alliance. During the Cold War, Russia joined the Warsaw Pact along with Germany, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, and I believe Czechoslovakia. The U.S formed many pacts at well, but all have been ended except for ANZUS. The Cold War was only a conflict between the USSR and the U.S along with their allies. This caused nuclear arm races, the space race, etc. The same problem arises now since Russia is behind on their missile development. They have pretty old technology compared to the advances of the U.S in nuclear technology and target locking capabilities. We have SMBLs positioned throughout the globe that could destroy Russia if they attempted to attack us. Now, to say I know nothing about relations and history was quite ignorant as I do know history and I do know what I am talking about. All I am saying is the US and Russia had a relationship pre Cold War, between the years of the Cold War, and after '91 up until the whole conflict with Georgia. My posts are credible and you just read wrong. Mhmm.

Racism speculation
-READ BEFORE POSTING- Now, before you start with "Those don't seem racial or racist at all considering you aren't a specific race being classified and told another race is superior to you" just stop. I do not believe that there is racism with the particular group I am going to mention. I am simply asking what you think. Do not attempt to flame me by speaking words I did not say. I am simply asking you guys a question and bringing some information into this discussion. I don't want to see any "tl;dr"s either. If you didn't read, don't bother contributing. -------------------------- [hide=Background history of Fgfuyfyuiuy0's family]My great grandpa and great grandma came to America as legal immigrants. They came through Ellis Island and came to America when Irish were treated just as African Americans were. They weren't allowed certain jobs, couldn't do most things Americans could do and it was nearly impossible to survive. There was a lot of hate. My great grandpa got a job as a cook for a family in New York. My great grandma cleaned the house for the Rockefellers. They were able to afford and apartment and daily food after they were able to maintain these steady jobs. My great grandpa and grandma housed their apartment to immigrants still coming through Ellis Island who didn't have a place to stay or food to eat. They did this free of charge until the immigrants could get a job and become stable as well. They never had the people pay them back or pay them to eat/stay there. My grandpa was born. Discrimination against Irish wasn't as bad as it was when my great grandparents were alive.[/hide] I am a redhead. I get called a Ginger, Fire crotch, Day Walker, etc. a lot. I am an Irish American which I made up because black people tend to classify themselves as African American. I don't mind at all being called a Ginger, Fire crotch, etc. because it isn't bad, but it got me thinking that it is classifying a group of people. I am of pretty recent Irish decent and the Irish are mostly viewed as alcoholics, redheaded, loss of pigment, doused with freckles, and having an attitude. I can see how we are classified like that on account of my grandpa is an alcoholic, my siblings and I have red hair, and my sister has a major attitude, but wouldn't this be classifying a race of people? You can say black people have big lips, like their watermelon, frizzy hair, etc. That is closely related to redheads as you classify a physical feature (Red hair/freckles vs. Black, frizzy hair/big lips), (Watermelon vs. Alcohol), and (Black skin vs. No pigment). My friends want me to drink with them which I have personal morals against not doing. I saw what it did to my grandpa and I don't want to be the same. Anyways, my friends will be like "You're Irish! You could hold a drink! You could probably drink more than me." That's like saying an Asian kid will beat you at Jeopardy because he's Asian and they are classified as being more intelligent. Also, names for certain people. People get offended if you say the "N" word as it depicts a black guy and can be considered racist. "C" for Chinese person. "B" for Mexican. The list goes on. Ginger, Fire crotch, etc. seem to classify redheads as they are terms that describe physical features and could be considered "rude". I don't have a problem at all being called any of those names nor do I take offense when I hear them. I was wondering what you guys think provided with the information above. The question would be: "Could being called a Ginger or any other name be deemed racist if redheads took offense to being called these names and possibly cause redheads to be classified as a group affected by racism?" I want to see Ginger_Warrior's answer

Who is God to YOU? (Not necessarily a Theist question)
God is an image man created to cope with death or give the average man morals.

Ads that actually work
Yeah, by putting d*cks on their movie covers and sex in their films, subliminaly. There's been only one time that one of those things actually happened. The rest is because human beings tend to see things as object or faces when they aren't really there.

What do you do in tight situations?
I am actually a very quick thinker. I think on my feet and the stories are pretty legit. I've been doing it all my life. Pretty much the reason why I haven't been grounded since I was little as I am able to make up a story, follow through with it, and make it untraceable. Example: I was in the store shopping with my mom. My stepmom sends me a text message, out of the blue, stating I had to show my midterm grade to her as she didn't believe I actually went and took it. I didn't take it, so I was going to be in some serious trouble. I bid farewell to my mom and had a plan within 3 seconds. I drove home, snuck in the backdoor, and went to my bedroom. I went to the website, screen shot a midterm for English, edited the picture to portray American Government and what percentage I was (etc.), quickly wrote HTML code in NotePad with the title of the original website and everything on there. I put the screen shot image as the backround. I opened up a tab with it and it looked like the original website. I walked out the door and went to my car and pulled into the driveway. I led my stepmom to my room where I showed her the website. She is not tech savvy, so she didn't question my abilities of website design and didn't tell me to click on any links (Fortunately). Let me answer your questions without thinking about the answer: Case A: I would stand up and say "Hahaha. Sorry. I was trying to reenact a video from YouTube I saw. I didn't think you guys would take it so literally. Have you not seen 'Girl meets concrete'? Hilarious! Hahaha!" Then I would wipe the blood from my face and shed one tear. :D Case B: I tend to respect women and not look at their bust, but if I happened to I'd say "I noticed you had a tiny bug and I thought it would be awkward for me to say something because you'd be offended I was looking there. I noticed something moving and it happened to be right there." Case C: I'd say "Everything looks alright. Oh, hey. I got hired just a couple minutes ago and apparently employees are supposed to go through some 'test'. He told me to check how this set up was working out." Touch the barricade and look like I am seeing if it is stable. "Looks good. Well, enjoy your movie." Case D: "I am sorry. I can't stop thinking about something. My Aunt's dog died a couple days ago and I used to take care of it like it was my own since we lived so close. I was thinking about it and I kept thinking about it and I really like you, so I don't want you to think that kiss was weird. I really like you." :

World War 3 where will you be
Cuba has not been enemies with the United States since the Soviet Union fell. It's too bad that the US government hasn't lifted the trade embargo they placed in 1960, which is something they should have done years ago, especially now that Fidel Castro is no longer in power. I didn't say they were enemies. I said they didn't have any formal relationship with the U.S meaning they don't have a pact or anything stating they wouldn't attack us. Yes the Cold War was a very friendly period between USSR and USA. Do you have any other peals of wisdom? Could you be any more ignorant? I am merely stating we have had a pretty good relationship with Russia. I doubt they'd attack the U.S as we have better missile defense systems than they do. If they really cared so much as to attempt to send a nuclear bomb to the U.S, the U.S would intercept it with another missile via missile silos stationed in the U.S or SMBLs stationed in waters most likely close to Russia anyways. Plus, the Cold War is over and relationships formed. Happens with most wars. Spain was pissed at the U.S about the Spanish-American War, but they became more civil after the Treaty of Paris was signed.

Russia threatens U.S. and Poland with Nuclear Attack.
:wall: That's the reason Russia is threatening us. They don't want a missile shield. Besides, they could go overkill with nukes and overload the missile defence. Not to mention SLBM's which could be anywhere :| Russia needs to put their big boy underwear on. Why would we leave ourselves vulnerable to missile-based attacks? It's idiotic. Why would we want ourselves to be hit by missiles if we could stop them and save people? I doubt they could overkill as we have more SLBMs and better technology than them via missile defense.

Russia threatens U.S. and Poland with Nuclear Attack.
Even if Russia fired a missile, technology has made us capable of intercepting that rocket with another one.

World War 3 where will you be
if russia attacks the u.s.a why wouldn't iraq join them? If you are going to 'predict' something like WWIII then I would highly suggest you do some research before drawing a conclusion. Russia has been allies with the U.S since WWII. They were known as the Soviet Union until December of 1991, so technically we were allies with the Soviet Union since WWII up until '91 when the Soviet Union collapsed and became known as Russia. We have the ANZUS pact binding the U.S, Australia, and New Zealand. New Zealand and Australia have the "Five Powers Act" binding Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Basically, the U.S has alliances with a lot of countries and has a healthy relationship with China and China is a member of the UN. (Referring to original post about China teaming with other countries against the U.S) Named: Australia = Malaysia, Singapore, and U.K New Zealand = Malaysia, Singapore, and U.K China Canada Mexico Russia Japan Israel Puerto Rico Belgium France Sweden Uruguay Guam Spain South Korea (?) etc. I think the only thing that could happen was Georgia got pissed, joined with Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Bhutan, and Sudan which would lead to a problem, but not a very big problem as most of the world could take care of it. The countries listed in this paragraph are ones the U.S doesn't have any form of relation with. I doubt WWIII could happen anytime soon as most countries seem to have pacts with each other and a few don't. I also have to agree with Rebdragon.

World War 3 where will you be
The U.S tends to not get involved unless we as a nation are directly affected or any of our allies need help. We wouldn't want to involve ourselves in a war and make the world more pissed at us. If Georgia and Russia want to duke it out then let them duke it out. We already have Iraq on our hands  EDIT: Answering the main question. If the U.S. gets involved in another war that could potentially be WWIII then I will be on the front lines.

Flag Burning.
And what law of ours (which you apparently are so knowledgeable in) would you be arrested under then? I doubt there is any law in Britain holding me accountable for flag burning. My statement is that I am causing a scene, started a riot, and fight. It's all instigation. Plus, police would detain me to stop me from causing more of a scene and you know they would. I would be arrested. I am using an example. I don't know all or any of Britain's law, but I do know human beings. I do know it would cause people to attack me and police would get involved. I would get fined or charged.

Flag Burning.
Well, I don't feel like going back 2 pages to quote someone, but it was a comment about the first amendment. The term "freedom of speech" doesn't mean you can burn a flag and all is well. It means you have a right to say what's on your mind, protest, and stand against the government if it seems fit. No where does it say "One can burn the countries flag". People may say "It's the action of burning the flag that replaces words." Well, I don't think our Founding Fathers predicted flag burning, but I don't approve of people doing it. Did you know it is illegal to fly another countries flag over the American flag while living in the U.S? So, if you owned a store in downtown New York and put the Canadian flag over the American Flag, it is illegal. I don't see how burning the American flag for 'fun' or for a 'protest' would be any different. If I went to the busiest place in Britain and burned the British flag, I would most likely be tackled, beaten to a pulp, and arrested. So, why should it be different with the American flag? Why would you burn our flag, but not do the same to another countries? I do not approve of flag burning and I never feel sorrowful. When my grandpa died I didn't feel sad, but for some reason, when I read that you burned the American flag, my heart cringed.

It's official, my brother is a moron
We got tired of people unable to spell "discussion" participating in them. (Yes, irony.) ...or half the posts titled "Only in America". Nice catch, btw. I tend to skip over misspelled words on Tip.It as they appear to be more common nowadays. EDIT: I hope you beat the crap out of your brother. He was dumb, ignorant, and oblivious to the fact that he could have harmed you worse. What if that had landed in your eye?

I hate my car...
My 99 Ford Ranger has been going to [cabbage] lately. I think it must be the transmission. It's an automatic and the first time I start it up and it switches to second, it lurches. Cars...

Computers - Have They Gotten Too Advanced?
I don't seem to have a problem with anything on computers. As they advance in capabilities, I advance in classes/books knowledge and hands on knowledge. If you don't keep on top of it then you will not understand them. :

Dang. I think it may still be good unless one of the cups resting on it falls off because of it. I just got my cups today from my eBay bid. Pretty excited! \

When do you cry?
I haven't cried probably since my childhood. I didn't even cry when I broke my arm in seventh grade and our class was going to Great America the next day. That sucked... I figure I am bound to cry sometime for some dumb reason because I didn't cry about deaths in those years, my dog getting put down, or anything. I think one day I am just going to collapse... Who knows? ;)

Speed Stacking
Again, I said no more posts saying crap like that. It's been noted that most people think it is a waste of time or 'sad'. It has been posted on the last two pages. Stop trying to get your post count up by posting useless spam that doesn't contribute to this Topic at all. EDIT: What's with the red herring fallacy here? Why are you trying to flame my topic while bringing in a topic about RuneScape membership so people begin to argue about it? It's pretty addicting. I ordered my set on Monday, so hopefully it will be here on Monday. I am pretty excited :

Fighting at School
Well, I was picked on school and it was usually verbal and not physical. My mom said if they hit me first, I had all the right to beat the crap out of them. I only got in 2 fights, but each time they started it and I finished it. Never got suspended as my principal got wind that I was picked on and that I was protecting myself. Worst I got was 10 days of detention :| I would have rather got suspended because my mom promised me Six Flags if I did.

Speed Stacking
Yeah. Paper cups are a lot harder to stack faster with as they are lighter and form static causing them to stick. That's why I don't think I will beat my record any further with paper cups ;)

If I were to bring any 3 items.....?
If I were trapped on a beach, I'd bring: Angelina Jolie <- Entertainment Life time's supply of food and water <- Necessities House with accessories <- House with accessories I would live there for the rest of my life with Angelina Jolie, eating food, and sitting on my couch doing nothing. If I went on an airplane, I'd bring: Laptop Movies Gum PSHA!

The government and its control over us.
They can't search your house for no reason, they can't arrest you for no reason, and they can't torture you. Actually, they can. Bills stating such rights have been abolished due to terrorism. They need it to be easier to take down a 'terrorist' instead of waiting to get a warrant and that man does something in that time.
