nice guide. I will use this when I get 85 mining. Off topic: Someone has been view spamming this guide pretty heavily.

Thanks for the replies. I just checked, and the Al-Kharid range looks the closest.
-
As far as I can recall, it isn't that close to a bank, which is what I am asking.
-
Still looking for an answer.

That is completely irrelevant. And thank you Zandalf. The only problem with that is the times I have being up there the logs have already been lit. I need a permenant cooking source.

I was planning on getting cooking up on my newb, so I was curious as to what is the closest cooking source to a bank in F2P. Any help would be appreciated.

// Worst Runescape Updates of 2006 //
gift_of_flab replied to NukeMarine's topic in General Discussion
As I said in the other thread... Rune Essence adjustment - Less profit from runecrafting and harder to obtain pure essence without the supply of F2P. On a side note, as soon as I saw the Rune Essence adjustment update I sold some stuff and bought about 370k pure essence for 40 each :XD: and sold 200k later for 100each :XD: \ -
I hate the exact opposite of that. Your are been piled by numerous level 70's (I'm 114) and they finally manage to bring you down. When you go into your death sequence (the one where you throw up your arms and fall down) they say "dead" or "noob" or something of the sorts. You fight the pile again and they start calling you a noob even before you are dead. So I say "fight me 1v1 then," and they just shut up. And I never stoop to calling lower levels noobs.

Recipe for Disaster (for the Barrows/Dark gloves) Pest Control Construction What about a worst update of the year section? The Rune Essence adjustment would definitely get that. -
is there a disadvantage to using controlled attack?
gift_of_flab replied to bigdrizzle13's topic in Help and Advice
i understand that. But it seems to me that i still hit 15 with scimmy wether im using stab or slash. Can anyone tell me for sure that the average hit is lower with stab? Actually, the strength bonus is how hard it hits, the +stab or slash or whatever just means how often it hits. -
Another Merchanting Guide, this time with glory
gift_of_flab replied to suyihai0's topic in General Guides
Average guide. Fix up the spelling and sentence structure and it will be better. As for the content, Glory merchanting sounds a bit slow for me. There are better ways of merchanting. -
An extremely well written response, I appreciate that. But let me ask you a different question that ties in with my old one. Did Jagex make Hunter to easy to level through the lack (well maybe not lack, but you know what I mean) of equipment needed, therefore time spent buying supplies is virtually nil. Take Herblore for example, you spend more time buying the materials than mixing the actual potions. All you need for Hunter is a few grand for the intial equipment and your set. Off topic: Headnazgul, you've slipped to 52 for Hunter :D

Think about this, I looked at his experience which was 12,999,965 and than I went to the toilet and came back 5 minutes later to find that he had 13,034,680 experience for level 99. And you say it is not easy? I would say 34 thousand exp in 5 minutes is pretty easy, at least when you compare it to some other skills. The highscores are only updated when that person logs out...Which means he could've gotten that XP in the course of a whole day if he didn't log out. From the rate that he has been getting experience, I would say 5 minutes is a lot more plausible. Yes I know you used a day as an example, so please don't point that out.

2 hours is nothing to me. The ones that surprise me (and scare my bladder) are the ones that can go 6+ hours. Maybe they run fast and hope for the best while they are gone. If not, then I guess they have bladders made of steel. I would say that those hardcore gamers live by themselves and have everything in the one room: Computer, toilet, fridge, shower etc. No wonder they can play for so long  .

So 99 Hunter has finally been reached by Darkforest67, just 11 days after it was released. So I pose this little question to you: do you think Jagex made it to easy to gain experience, seen as you can't buy it like Construction.

People with high total levels compared to combat
gift_of_flab replied to Madouge's topic in General Discussion
Ditto What I hate is someone that has been at Pest Control for the last few months whose stats look like this: And he/she would be respected for having a high combat (123) even though his/her non-combats absolutely suck (save 1 or 2). I think Nuke's idea is perfect. I'm sure Blue Ice2 would be offended. Maybe they just like combat? What is your problem with them training those skills, while you accept skillers even more? Holy moly, how did you know it was Blue Ice2? I have nothing agaisnt him personally, I just saw him at the prayer guild showing of his Hitpoints cape/emote while I was on my pure. My point was that a newb (not noob) would see him and think "wow, he is awesome" while, when you think about it, maxed out melee stats with just over 1400 total is almost laughable in terms of respect. If total level was shown, people wouldn't care if he was 123 combat. Also, I never said that "I accepted skillers even more," I just said he shouldn't be respected more than someone else with a higher total level. That is my opinion, everyone has one, so please don't flame me for it. By the way, I never meant for Blue's name to get involved, he was the first example I could think of. -

UNDERAGE USER ALERT!! (age requirement discussion)
gift_of_flab replied to ixfd64's topic in General Discussion
Would that not mean that the other half of the people with "no respect for anyone" are over the age of 15? I am so sick of people assumimg that all Runescape's problems are caused by people under 13 or whatever. I think it is more the fact the older players have established an attitude that realises "oh, it's just a game, so what if I am annoying and disrespectful, nothing can happen to me because it is just a game." I would go so far to say that it is the older, that's right, older players that are the problem. Besides, people under 13 probably haven't been introduced to scamming and what not, Runescape or real life. Please get rid of your biased attitude, it is not very endearing. And to the guy that said if you don't live in the U.K or America you can't speak English, I live in Australia and can speak better English than you. -
no offence, but how could you not notice. "ohh, I just caught 200 kebbits in a row without failing one...Nah it's just a coincedence"

A foolish question perhaps, and I am almost certain that the answer is going to be in the negative, but does the anti-dragon shield have any effect, whatsoever, on what you hit with a salamander. By the way, I am aware that it is called an anti-dragon shield, so please don't point this out, it does stop fire after all. Also, this does raise the question of the introduction of an anti-salamander shield to nerf the effectivness of a salamander and placate all the whining pures that are upset because they can't pray when they are getting beaten.
