  1. I'd have thought you people were going to work together. That makes much more sense than looking for them on your own. Yes, mods have edited the pieces into the first post of threads regardless of who created them or when.

    625. I see, thanks. Just wondering, though, why were you looking up my name on the list? :?

  5. The fact that it happens every time doesn't make it good. It isn't good at all, that's what I meant. It's bad mods feel overburdened and stop posting as usual, and that's why having 'too many' mods would be better for everyone. Mods becoming more absent might be a symptom of their workload.
  6. That seems to happen to most mods though. Besides assassin, almost everyone started posting less in public after becoming mods. Anyway, having too many mods can only be something good. Hopefully we'll get some good trainees this time.

I really liked that series, especially Foundation and Empire. You should try reading the rest of the trilogy before the others, though. ;) The story makes more sense that way, and the books by Asimov are by far the best IMO.
  8. Morality is much more important than legality in my eyes. And this slavery the OP mentions would be especially immoral now we've already abolished it and people are "used" to human rights. Now, the question becomes much more interesting once the line between human and sub-human (or not human, animal, etc.) begins to fade.

  16. When people start being delusional because they can't otherwise find stability in society, we don't let them build organizations and give them tax breaks, we get them assistance and mental help. There must be more to religion; otherwise we should be trying to get rid of it and help people out of it. If youre going to equate people who are religious to people with mental diseases, then you must equate religion to medication that control those diseases. It's the same thing. This goes to Zierro too: I'm not saying that religion equates a mental illness. I'm arguing against the argument that says: "even if there's no God, religion is good for the people". I really should avoid metaphors like this one since the relevance quickly gets lost, but I'll try to stick to my word. Medication seeks to control chemical balances and tries to solve the problem. Believing in a -hypothetically non-existing- God does not solve the problem, but is a way of escapism. Anyway, my point is religion shouldn't be supported as a means of calming down people (or trying to find a life purpose, etc.), especially if there was no God. The question of God's existence is not trivial.

  20. He, I remember when they first introduced Trade Limits. I played back then. okfolife, one of the reasons trade limits were made is that nobody should be able to transfer any items or money between several accounts. So I guess it's actually working the way it should. By the way, there's no need to go around insulting other people's intelligence, so everyone drop that.
